I'm not trying to judge their method, but this is why ambulances have doors.

[–]FallxnShadow 952 points953 points  (30 children)

They have a locking mechanism that holds it in place, the doors are there because.... well why there's doors on anything else.

[–]Tubes_69 445 points446 points  (9 children)

To keep people from seeing me pooping?

[–]cardboardpunk 79 points80 points  (0 children)

That too

[–]superspiffy 49 points50 points  (2 children)

Doors can't stop me.

[–]miwall81 18 points19 points  (0 children)

“Alright Jim, she has a bad back, so let’s go ahead aaaand take this corner slooooo... shit..”

[–]Ajreil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if people regularly capped themselves in ambulances. They take people having seizures, elderly people, and small children all the time.

[–]Harry_Flugelman 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Stop pooping an ambulances all the time.

[–]jeefyjeef 30 points31 points  (18 children)

Hm... Why ARE there doors on things?

[–]supaphly42 54 points55 points  (12 children)

[–]gps93 9 points10 points  (3 children)

[–]pinky218 50 points51 points  (2 children)

To keep the outside out and/or the inside in.

[–]TheWoodsAreLovly 27 points28 points  (1 child)

And sometimes, to allow the outside in, or the inside out.

[–]superspiffy 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Because they're just adoorable,.

[–]spooninacerealbowl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was a hingenious pun.

[–]BehelitOutlaw 40 points41 points  (6 children)

[–]cardboardpunk 13 points14 points  (5 children)

I shouldn't have laughed at that, but I did.

I'm a terrible human being.

[–]spooninacerealbowl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, I have laughed at some pretty bad shit, but I didnt laugh at that. I only hope that poor guy was already dead before the ambulance crew tried to make sure of it.

[–]Tortured-_-soul 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I laughed too. I am also a terrible human being.

[–]Studdabaker 8 points9 points  (2 children)

I farted while I laughed. I am a disgusting, terrible human being

[–]skel625 43 points44 points  (8 children)

Not all places in the world can afford fancy ambulances or have access to one nearby.

[–]rrickitywrecked 43 points44 points  (0 children)

We all can’t be Norway

[–]Disig 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Okay, sure, but in what world would they think their current idea would work? Definitely not in logic world.

[–]Mabepossibly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[–]Jacollinsver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No but seriously.

[–]itsjustchad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

every person that's ever owned a truck with one of those bed liners, knew exactly what was going to happen next. Hell I've never actually owned a truck, and I knew.

[–]Benzylt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And a seat for the EMT !

[–]Burnburnburnnow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh man, this video made me laugh out loud for a good 60 seconds. This comment pushed me into silent, tears streaming down my face laughter. I’m a horrible person who is definitely going to hell

[–]c3h8pro 43 points44 points  (6 children)

The famous ambulance fail is actually a design flaw of that particular strecher. The Ferno 30 had two handles to release the wheels and frequently the handle would not drop completely into the latch. One of the happiest days of my EMS career was getting to hit my strecher with the ambulances cow catcher because Ferno only warnteed it if the strecher was "beyond repair" so we set ours up in a lot got the f450 up to ramming speed and sent that strecher screaming sideways into the bowels of hell. (Actually just rammed it causing it to hit a dumpster)

[–]Zoltrahn 10 points11 points  (2 children)

So it was the printer scene from Office Space, but for EMS workers?

[–]c3h8pro 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yup basically. Those strechers sucked, I had three EMTs dislocate shoulders because of them and the maker never really admited fault just took them and gave you another model. It is basically what killed the brand and caused a lot of companys to move to different strechers.

[–]Renent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[–]EJ2H5Suusu 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Damn those trucks are F450s? Whoever designed the suspension on those things deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. I bet they would be pretty fun on a track day

[–]c3h8pro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We had a mix of 450's and 350's. They first generations handled great. When I started in 70's we had Dodge Tradesman vans that got stuck in parking lot slush and Ford Econoline vans that rode slightly worse then the subway cars. The best ride ever was the Cadillacs 85 mph and you could write a report.

[–]BigDumer 83 points84 points  (3 children)

If anybody is wondering, the “Ambulance Fail” is NHL player Mike Modano when he played for the Dallas Stars.

Modano was fine; played for many more years and made it to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

[–]OneNutPhil 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Weird how the only hockey one wasn't on the ice. You'd think being on skates for this would lead to more massive fuckups

[–]PriusesAreGay 81 points82 points  (4 children)

Your job is to run into a field, put a guy on a stretcher, and carry him away. One would imagine it’s not that hard once you’ve done it once or twice

[–]Fundle_Grudge 28 points29 points  (1 child)

My buddy got picked up by an ambulance on a bike path and they drove it into a tree and got stuck.

[–]alysurr 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I was taken by ambulance and vaguely remember it leaning over for a moment followed by “fuck that was close” as we were leaving the scene of my accident on a two lane back road with insanely deep ditches on either side...

[–]HerbertMcSherbert 4 points5 points  (1 child)

The soccer ones usually aren't injured in these case anyway...so chalk a face full of butt up to karma.

[–]PriusesAreGay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True that, all that gay-ass faking. I don’t really watch the game but I feel like that’s just dumb. If you wanna advance how about just being better than the other team at the game, not being better at pretending to be a little bitch

[–]jeremyjava 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I introduced my son to the 3 Stooges last night. He loved them... not sure how we missed these.

[–]Litex 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"Sorry about your terrible injury. Maybe you'll forget aBout the pain briefly if I DROP A WICKED MUSHROOM STAMP, N00B."

[–]GTAdriver1988 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Why does everyone face away from the stretcher? Doesn't anyone realize that's hard af to do unless there is some clearance between your ass and the stretcher.

[–]frothface 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because they think people are light and they are going to sprint off full speed. Then they pick it up and realize even normal people are heavy as shit.

[–]mysteryodour 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Fuck, that ambulance fail. This happened to my dad while he was having a massive heart attack. Told me later he just started crying on the driveway, thinking this was how he was going to go out. 15 years after a successful 5-way bypass, we can chuckle now, but looking at that hurts.

[–]SuperKozz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear about your dads accident, and can totally understand why it bring back bad memories. I'm glad he is okay now! We all have something in our life, that other people finds funny, but is very serious for others.

[–]Coyrex1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I will never understand all the people who face outward and stand on their toes to pick the damn stretcher up. Two guys picking up one dude plus a relatively light stretcher is really not that hard, pick up facing the damn thing. Also the guys in the grey vests were damn inconsiderate as fuck I mean they literally dropped him at the end not out of stupidity but inconsideration.

[–]DannyMThompson 46 points47 points  (3 children)

I laughed at each one, am I a bad person?

[–]Maoman1 29 points30 points  (2 children)

I laughed at them all except the last one. Holy shit.

[–]PM_me_ur-particles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He should be fine, he had a neck brace on.

[–]HairySquid68 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Where's the other soccer fail where he tea-bags the guy 5 times then they drop him?

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_XBOX_KEYS 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That first one has to be from a sitcom

[–]RzK 92 points93 points  (3 children)

It's soccer though, they don't have to be that careful when the player is faking an injury

[–]pm_8_me 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They don't use stretchers when they dive. Real injuries happen frequently in football; broken bones are not unusual.

[–]RafeHaab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's horrible.

[–]MrsBoombastic98 5 points6 points  (4 children)

I had no idea it was so common for those carrying someone on a stretcher, to shove the injured person's face directly into their butt crack. You learn something new everyday.

[–]should_be_medicated 19 points20 points  (5 children)

ok the last one looks like he slammed his throat into the door, he may have died

[–]DannyMThompson 16 points17 points  (4 children)

People are more resilient than you give them credit for.

[–]godlesscitizen 26 points27 points  (3 children)

What about old people

[–]jeff88888 18 points19 points  (2 children)

They welcome death...

With arms wide open...under the sunlight...

[–]CaptainKate757 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These need the Benny Hill theme to really kick them up another notch.

[–]AnonKnowsBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are hilarious but damn did I feel my tailbone hurting from here

[–]AbracaDaniel21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EMT in the “Entrance fail” gif: “OMG are you okay?!” Dude on stretcher: “No, I’m on a fucking stretcher!”

[–]yawnityyawnyawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That video is comedy gold!

[–]Lovv 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Man the guy in the compilation @ 0:25

[–]liberalis 1 point2 points  (1 child)

That second one, literally adding insult to injury.

[–]RajaRajaC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg, the first two were funny, the last was just wtf!

[–]No_mans_shotgun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the great start to my Monday, this was gold!

[–]ChallengerReproaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is #2 reserved only for obvious dives?

[–]bazzoozzab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I said when I saw this.

[–]RalphModeBeast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jason Christ it’s Jesus Bourne

[–]ChuckASkidMate 577 points578 points  (4 children)

Love the pat on the arm by the lady in the grey outfit as reassurance to the injured girl. Everything is going to be alright right... you’re safe now...

[–]Swagwag233 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Aaaaaaand she’s gone

[–]Powersoutdotcom 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That was her reaction to the sudden acceleration. She was grasping.

[–]BikeRideAUnicorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She’s definitely not after that face plant. Ooof.

[–]darkenergymatters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the astute reaction from Ms. Redcoat, taps on the shoulder and a “hey hey hey!!! Your gonna fall!”

[–]Smarmy-Marmy 571 points572 points  (5 children)

Hi I’m Juanny Knoxville, welcome to Yackass.

If it can’t be connected to the Simpsons, it simply hasn’t happened yet.

[–]FullClockworkOddessy 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The SFW corollary of Rule 34: If it's happened, The Simpsons did it first.

[–]lycoloco 10 points11 points  (3 children)

... Is that Bart?

[–]AdmiralSkippy 19 points20 points  (1 child)

No that's Wendell.

[–]lycoloco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, I forgot about him. Thanks!

[–]CaptainKate757 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's that sickly kid that looks a lot like Bart but with curly hair. He's always got some ailment which is why he's pasty.

[–]Sherrydon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why doesn't homers mouth move when his head hits the rock?

Boy I really hope someone got fired for that blunder

[–]RRH 81 points82 points  (3 children)

That sucked but at least grey lady tried and went down with her while fuckin red lady just waved and went “oh, oops...”

[–]Amphibialrabies69 10 points11 points  (1 child)

I'd rather be the red lady. I've jumped out of a moving vehicle before and it sucked.

[–]ridinbend 149 points150 points  (2 children)

[–]Kr1ggs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Person filming knew shit was going to happen, tried to warn them and nobody listens, so he just film to keep replaying and saying: told ya!

Only scenario I can imagine.

[–]pm_me_your_kindwords 31 points32 points  (1 child)

Talk about adding insult to injury!

[–]PATRIOTSRADIOSIGNALS 40 points41 points  (0 children)

As well as more injuries.

[–]vodka_twinkie 197 points198 points  (2 children)

The gravity of this situation is funny.

[–]StaringAtYourBudgie 15 points16 points  (0 children)

But at least they saved her from friction

[–]badass4102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Newton's laws in action

[–]ButWhy10128 16 points17 points  (3 children)

Please send another stretcher

[–]Sprinkles0 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Preferable one that's not a pool backboard which is designed to slide easily.

[–]lau6h 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Also, an ambulance. An ambulance would be nice.

[–]Milnario 17 points18 points  (3 children)

The lady in the grey vest who rolled did an amazing roll. She didn’t come across as the parkour type.

[–]Heavy-duty-mayo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking she might have broke her wrist. Tuck and roll!

[–]TheBarbarion 6 points7 points  (3 children)

I witnessed this twice in Iraq. One of them was a corpse so no real harm done there but IP's are idiots.

[–]yayforwhatever 5 points6 points  (2 children)

iP’s? Fuck! acronyms are the easiest way for stupid people to feel smart

[–]TheBarbarion 3 points4 points  (1 child)

What does acronyms mean?

[–]DearDarlingDearling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]ChadMinshew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kudos to the lady in the black, she went out like a hero and held on until the end! Meanwhile, lady in red just gives a reassuring pat, "See ya later, hun."

[–]Digitaldark 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Yeah that girl holding her on the right broke her arm from that. Jesus. That backboard saved the patient a load of damage

[–]BigLebowskiBot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You said it, man.

[–]UltraSTONED 12 points13 points  (1 child)

"Let's go real fast on the back without any barrier, WCGR"

[–]TearsInRainUK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

[–]budakhan01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She’s unofficially discharged!

[–]6to23 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Anyone feel the pickup went way too fast for having people in the back?

[–]mech1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the more important question is why they're transporting people on stretchers in the back of an F150

[–]Shielder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the acceleration that's the problem, slow and steady keeps patients inside the vehicle

[–]rpungello 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Somebody watches Top Gear

[–]fubuvsfitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those drop-in bed-liners are the devil. I've busted my ass a few times on those things. Slippy bastards.

[–]KittyPaws_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this isn’t supposed to be funny at all but holy shit what were they thinking lol like wtf so many things going wrong!

[–]PBR303 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I’m assuming this is a legitimate emergency. I’m just imagining all the prep that went into this for it to end in a disaster. But...why are they filming?

[–]jackiller_069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want lawsuits? Cuz this is how you get lawsuits....

[–]The_Black_Stallion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]indieDiver 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Now we need two stretchers..

[–]MonkeyPlug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One stretcher and a hearse.

[–]overlordpotatoe 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Better find another stretcher.

[–]sidekick89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only we had a special vehicle for this task...

[–]HysteriaAndOctopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me in ambulance after car run over me three times. They didn't fix my bed so every right turn i needed to hold myself with a damaged hand not to fall down. Didn't think about it then but it's weird that the nurse next to me just helped me hold my moving bed instead of fixing it.

[–]JustAkIdFrOmQuEens 0 points1 point  (0 children)
