They really do need to get their shit together.

A lot of this FUD is self inflicted. People in this sub need to stop blaming Vechainers.

Seriously. This whole VeChain vs Walton is looking like bloods vs crips for no fucking reason.

because idiots are making money on both sides and get jealous when one pumps more than the other. The reality is both are going to be massive, and it doesn't matter in the slightest which you hold, if you're looking to 'get rich' then you're set with both or either.

terrible advice hambooger

and it doesn't matter in the slightest which you hold

That was regarding VEN and WTC, I didn't mean you could buy any of the 1546 coins on CMC and you're golden

People in this sub need to stop blaming Vechainers.

Are people seriously blaming VET for all of WTC's recent fuck ups? That is some next level stupid, impressive even in this space.

Saw several people yelling about "vecunts" today in this sub, reported them but I don't understand such anger

WTC does make some PR fuckups but I think they only blame Vechainers for the wave of fear mongering, idiocy and panic that follows anything that WTC does. Which is pretty fair.

Cop at the scene of crime: Looks like it was self inflicted FUD

A lot of this FUD is self inflicted. People in this sub need to stop blaming Vechainers.

I don't know what's worse, I'm in VEN and I'm not sure if I would like to lose money to WTC's bad PR or losing money because of "nothing", VEN is doing everything right and the losses are pretty much the same, I should've never FOMO in this shit but oh well, I'll wait years and take the loss if I'll have to, I don't give a shit anymore.

Same here brother. I’m heavy in VEN. Tbh, I haven’t seen any negativity towards WTC in the Vechain subreddit. I hope both coins succeed.

You want to tell me it was not those filthy Vechain yankees the ones who deleted those tweets and are spreading FUD???? HERESY!!!!

Hang em' high!!!

Agreed mate, The Vechainers are just as freaking bad. What needs to happen is people need to stop drinking the GD Kool Aid to the point where they can't see clearly.

Wanting these coins to be valued at whatever level doesn't mean they actually are. Its all speculation. While Blockchain Supply Chain solutions are beautiful, doesn't mean this stuff isn't overhyped

This is the definition of a FUD statement.

I don’t even understand what you’re trying to get across.

But we’ve had coin holders actually physically go to the company and they have seen the product.

Thanks for your post u/thelatemercutio As a respected member of the community, do you have an explenation for the tweet removal and the vague tweet Walton posted?

Original Poster32 points · 4 months ago

Actually pretty bullish on the tweet removal. Likely the government has contacted Walton and asked them to remove it. Now you can make an argument that Walton should've known not to post it, or their PR needs fixing, ad nauseum, but the fact that they are so deeply entrenched with the govt, and the govt cares this much about it, is very telling.

XiongAn is President Xi's "dream city." Alibaba made blueprints for the city and got them approved by him, and Walton is working with Alicloud to make it. It's pretty serious.

12 points · 4 months ago · edited 4 months ago

The explanation tweet could have been detailed better, it seemed very cryptic to me. And they really are generating FUD by themselves. If there’s no fuel there’s no fire.

Original Poster15 points · 4 months ago

I very much doubt they're allowed to comment on govt involvement with the tweet. And they can't say, "but we're still working with Alibaba Cloud to make that smart city," because that would kind of defeat the purpose of removing the tweet in the first place.

They just need a PR/Marketing team revamp. It would dissolve a lot of the FUD.

Original Poster15 points · 4 months ago

That’s why I like you. You can support Waltonchain while acknowledging its faults. I wish more of the community was the same.

That would be a solid explantion!

Alibaba made blueprints for the city and got them approved by him

Pretty big statement here, you've got some kind of source or proof?

Original Poster6 points · 4 months ago

I can't find the article I was referencing, but I did find a couple other articles that get most of that point across:

Xiongan, the area outside Beijing that was hand-picked by Chinese president Xi Jinping as the dream city for his “thousand-year” plan to transform the capital, will be developed into a high-technology hub and showcase of the country’s latest innovations

President Xi Jinping in April announced the launch of the Xiongan New Area, aiming to match the success of zones in Shenzhen and Shanghai that helped make China an economic powerhouse.

XIONGAN New Area, an economic zone to be built southwest of Beijing, has partnered with e-commerce giant Alibaba to transform itself into a smart city.

Chinese president Xi Jinping is determined to transform the area into an economic zone that rivals Shanghai.

Alibaba has pledged to use a range of technologies and applications to turn Xiongan into a “prototyped smart city”.

The partnership aims to combine IoT and big data processing technology to help plan and manage the city’s consumption, production and supply chains. The result of this is a secure digital logistics system for the city.

the new digital city is expected to feature things such as smart metering, intelligent parking and cashier-less supermarkets.

You can infer from this that President Xi approves of the plans that Alibaba has for this city. But I will concede that I can't find the article where I remember that stated more precisely.

Thanks man. I have to say, it makes the government intervention scenario a whole lot more possible

Their PR twitter guy is really killing my boner and I've been here since Oct

Likely the government has contacted Walton and asked them to remove it.

lol sure

As Walton is known to be working on the Smart City, it’s actually expected that the government would contact them

people open your eyes! you are being fooled, not by FUD or anything else but by this "company". At least diversify for your own savety.

its going to be fun the day I am filthy rich reading through all this

The irony is this will probably end up being one of the biggest projects in crypto.

And most of the community has written it off as a scam. They will regret it..

A scam coin wouldn't be so connected with the Government it would delete a tweet at their request.

Walton will be fine. I hate them right now, but life goes on.

Weibo is a 31 billion dollar chatting app and users on the platform are banned from saying anything negative about the government. The policy is strictly enforced or the company knows they can be shut down.

If you don't think the Chinese government would make Walton delete a tweet, I think you are kidding yourself. This project may run much deeper than we think. However that speaks nothing to the legitimacy or long term potential of Walton. I would be totally fine with a 31 billion dollar market cap

At what point do you take a step back and think that maybe it’s not people who hold Vechain, but Waltonchain shooting themsellves in the foot. This company time and time again makes themselves look extremely amateur. Instead of just crying “FUD”. maybe it’s time to move your money elsewhere.

It's both. WTC sucks at communication, but others (not just VEN shills--I don't think there's any point in picking on VEN over this, especially since many people, myself included, hold both VEN and WTC) are quick to jump on every mistake, blow it out of proportion, and tell the world that the mistake is the worst thing in the history of crypto and proves WTC is a scam.

No question, WTC has made itself look amateur, especially to the West (less clear how it's being perceived within China). It needs to fix its communication issues ASAP. But that's a separate issue from the underlying tech.

especially since many people, myself included, hold both VEN and WTC

What? Outrageous, you have to choose a team!

There's near a dozen coins in this space and I hold almost all of them. Why can't we be friends :(

beat him up guys, and throw him of the ship

That’s exactly what it is - Walton shooting themselves in the foot. Extraordinarily frustrating for holders right now (and as one of those holders I mean EXTRAORDINARILY), but totally irrelevant to the long term success of Walton.

Walton’s tech and strategy team are doing a uniquely fantastic job of gathering major real world support for the coin across China and Korea (and soon globally, with Loci, Mobius et al.), and I have no doubt that Walton will be a major component of the next industrial revolution across the world. Walton’s game plan is basically the perfect use for blockchain tech, so as long as they keep targeting major Chinese government divisions and businesses, I’ll be holding.

If you’re a short term trader, this volatility is glorious. If you’re in this for the long term like me, making some buys now is a ludicrously low risk way of retiring in the next 5 years.

As someone who is accumulating, this is great FUD to keeping the price down low for the entire Q1. Its funny actually because all of it is petty small mistakes.

Waltonchain has so much going for it outside the crypto currency market; it has real world value that will not get ruined by a minor PR mistake. People don’t realize that those things have staying power that most cryptos don’t.

low risk

A little hyperbolic, no?

loll this will never get old

Hahahaha! I love this.

Gonna need to migrate to a Rolodex soon.

I feel like a veteran of two world wars after seeing that list.

Fucking hillarious!!!

your portofolio?

10 points · 4 months ago · edited 4 months ago

sigh I will say, though, that all of this has really opened my eyes to how many emotional children there are in r/CryptoCurrency

They can go ahead and “never touch WTC again” or whatever, feel smart for a couple of days I guess. I, on the other hand, will never take crypto advice from someone on that sub ever again.

Those never touch Walton again accounts have also never been a part of the Walton community.

Most of this fud is self inflicted by Walton itself. Honestly, how do you fk up a giveaway and announcing something big just to take it off cuz it’s not true? Lol that’s not how a company is run

-2 points · 4 months ago

Don't neglect women

Haha.. this actually made my day TLM... : )

This thing is gunna end up being longer than a CVS receipt.

It is getting to the point it’s unbelievable.

On the plus side, you can keep the same paper for next week to add in the next checkbox of fud.

I'm gonna create something similar and hang it on my bedroom wall. Might frame it in later.

However I would change 2.14 to valentines day fud (2.14)

They don't have Valentine's Day in China.
(Because of the L)

Hahaha xD

1 point · 4 months ago · edited 4 months ago

I agree it doesn't change the underlying tech and the partnership is real, but fuck it does reek of unprofessionalism when you can't even properly handle a Twitter contest AND a big announcement, all in the same week. This shit would not pass in the everyday corporate world, and if they want to keep expanding and appeal to new investors, they need to get their shit together. This is not FUD, as a WTC investor you should hope they take this seriously and fix any shortcomings, and their is a clear shortcoming on the PR end.

Lol didn't expect to see an upated video so soon but I'm holding with ya!

Can I get a shirt with this list?

I've watched that list grow so much over time...

Good stuff.

What about Binance FUD? Is everything that happens that isn't saying what you want just FUD?

Drink your Kool Aid

Amazing seeing the level of delusion in this sub. WTC could walk away with everyone’s coins and there would still be people shouting “FUD”.

-2 points · 4 months ago · edited 4 months ago

I don’t know why this SubReddit hasn’t more Moderators to delete this shit and FUD posts (rip Walton, I’m out...) What’s wrong with this kiddies?

Edit: I don’t know this post!

I really feels like TLM 🙈😂 Hodl strong 💪🏻

I love these posts keep them coming!

yes, WTC is strong

Yeah like beta max and laser disc. Still relevant today!! Bad PR destroys credibility and WTC is on track to implode. Tech ahead of its time didn’t save numerous companies from failure. Remember.

u should be a ven whale, or be paid by them. I just don't take care about your fake bad news because I believe in wtc mid-long term

Oh wow. Another denier. Surprising.

Denied himself all the way to a fortune... $$$

-5 points · 4 months ago(2 children)

Yea, Vechain got banned from /r/cryptocurrency because it kept getting on the front page due to constant stream of good news (China Tobacco, DNV GL, Jim Breyer, etc).

Original Poster8 points · 4 months ago

nah they got banned for doing this kinda shit: from today
