What a twist.

Very Good

HA

I’ve seen enough liveleak videos to know this will end badly for someone

Featuring new multi-directional maiming!

Pretty much every "escalator eating people" video I've seen has been from China... so no thanks...

You can also find these at the Westfield mall in San Francisco

Came here to say this

Right, but the Chinese ones are riskyer

BUT we've never seen a curved escalator accident.. Maybe we've found the solution

I'm pissed off that this isn't a gif

Don't think it's the same place, but here:

They have curved escalators in Las Vegas as well.

They also have an escalator that becomes a err... deescalator in the bridge over the canal, that leads to the Venetian.

They also have a few that are simply horizontallator's.. at Excalibur, that leads to the alcoholic slushies.

Okay, but most airports have those in their terminals too, they're not that special

I love those things,

Power walking down them feeling like you moving so fast under your own power. Its cool.

That's incredible, that is some engineering.

I wonder how much more difficult it is to build than a regular escalator. Regular ones are pretty straight forward (technically).

(literally)

Well I have no idea how the steps actually go back down... unless, like in the Westfield Mall in SF, there's another escalator, going down, to complete the circle.

Had no clue this was even a thing ! Or was possible to do. Never even thought about one being like this.

Ok, how long it will take for this escalator to end up in r/wtf r/nonono etc

i’ve seen too many videos to fall for this trick.

One does not simply show a picture of a curved elevator without it being turned on..

They have this in Las Vegas.

I believe there used to be one on the London Underground.

Im sure the physics of this glass have been very well thought out and all...

but I still feel like this is a disaster waiting to happen.

This looks like the mall on Nanjing road near the Bund in Shanghai, I took a video of it a few months ago!

What a time to be alive.
