Good news for Walton. Just to clarify, Citylink is mentioned as an affiliate, but in western terms it would be described as a wholly owned subsidiary. Walton owns 100% of Citylink.
Not surprised this wasn't clarified in the post lol. Classic Walton. Happy for you guys! I don't hold much WTC, wish I had bought more, but I was still skeptical back in September as anyone should be initially. Obviously this is now one of the top projects in crypto relatively speaking. I've been researching this project to death recently and I think people are going to be surprised what is coming this year. It's not quite as flashy or sexy as some of the other projects, but I think the cream will rise to the top.
So much FUD put a damper on its price, I'm surprised and not surprised that WTC has still managed to be in the top 50 after the enormous amount of FUD this project has seen since its beginning. Wish you guys well in the future.
Thanks. There has been a lot of fud. And it has been successful to a degree due to the way the team operates in part. It’s best to view them as a b2b company. They aren’t as concerned with the average joe investor, just to the degree of making sure their network is secure with GMN and MNs. Other than that it is all focused on developing their tech and making real world use of it.
Here is the official Waltonchain Foundation Organization Chart to show how CityLink is a wholly owned subsidiary of Waltonchain :)
So cheap right now too, won't see these prices for much longer.
How many times has this phrase been used for all cryptos...
How many of those cryptos have smart city solutions already developed and launched?
Walton is slowly building an empire that is largely going un-noticed
Let's keep it that way for a few more days please
My thoughts exactly. Keep it low till I'm done accumulating.
Great development and nothing you wouldn’t expect from this company. Boy they just keep their heads down and get things done. We are all very priveleged to be able to be part of this project. Whether you plan to operate a masternode, mine or stake tokens, those who believe in Waltonchain will be rewarded financially but will also be able to look back in years to come and know that they played their role in ushering in a new age.
Wow a smart city based on waltonchain !!
Another smart city based on Waltonchain*
Concrete news! exciting times.
This team of professional gentlemen never fail to deliver. No hype, just hard work and results.
This is an example to follow in the cryptosphere.
And so begins the future - genuine smart cities. Run with intelligent sensors to enable a cleaner environment, cleaner air, and optimal resources usage. The 20th Century was defined by the combustion engine, the 21st will be defined by environmental protection and the minute management of resources. This is pretty significant.
Sounds like you've seen this but for anyone who hasn't, this made me believe that blockchain and IoT can play a huge role in the coming years.

It's long but worth watching.
Waltonchain is like the perfect fit for the new industrial revolution. This project is so awesome!
Wouldn't think of selling my WTC, and I say that as a crypto skeptic in general. One of the few projects I'm putting away for a year+ never thinking of selling.
This is what a real partnership looks like. Real world progress. If your project is making big claims but isn’t showing progress, someone isn’t telling the truth.
That is just a fact. Crypto is largely unregulated and some ICO's are making huge unsubstantiated claims but they are backed by very little, mostly hope. The Golden Rule for investors in crypto now that we have had this shake-down is - invest in concrete business with real-world developments. The hype is over, people are getting wise to it, we will see that very soon on the exchanges. Keep it real.
I agree. That is why I only ever touch utility tokens and not currencies. I’m in Walton heavy because of the tech, partnerships, and the actual usage of the tech so far.
I actually can't wait to see 93% of the crap (pure hype) projects wither and die on the vine. I'd love to see CMC numbers reduced to a few hundred over the next 12-18 months, and even with that there would be a lot of room for "trimming" ;)
If you ever get the chance to go look at the top 10 or 20 cryptos on cmc in 2013 you should. Most of them are just gone now. This could be the case for today in a couple years too, although I’d like to think a good chunk of the top coins now are fairly solid. You just never know.
Great point man. I share the same feeling that a fair amount of the top projects should provide a lot of "real world" value.
I love the idea of a smart bin, following people around as they finish their sandwich asking to be fed the wrapping of the sandwich.
Chasing people that litter around with a baseball bat, exciting times ahead.
Now that is a good idea - the baseball part.
Wow!! This is fantastic!! Even though 80% of my portfolio is WTC, I was a bit skeptical when the team originally said they were a top-four coin/project. I just figured most teams likely thought the same thing of their own projects. Nothing wrong with that... but there are literally only four spots for the top four. 🤪🤪
Over the last six weeks or so...I’ve been convinced. This team is doing some amazing things!! Happy to be part of the WaltonChain community!!
It is apparent that the solutions Walton is offering provide real material cost savings to munincipalities and cities. This tech will allow a city to selectively empty waste bins as needed instead of all of them on a route etc, as well as monitor electricity usage on street lights and adjust them accordingly. This is real world usage and cost savings and tech like this could see massive real world adoption very quick.
Exactly.. “real world usage” potential with this project is incredible!! You hit the nail on the head!
They are going to be a household name if they keep this up!
Already is, in mine! 😜
Haha same. But I think Walton is going to be a little more in the background with maybe the subsidiaries getting the logos out etc. we will see.
True that!! 👍😀
The real question here is why wtc is still so largely undervalued ? WTC is still sitting way below 1bn marketcap !
Ok, there is no high level shills, no hype (some small-looking announcement like this one that are actually huge)... But real world adoption is starting, with pilot projects all over, with huge companies (this is China Telecom ! and other big state-owned companies did partnership with waltonchain before)...
Is this market all about hype ? Anyway, going to buy some more wtc while it's cheap :-)
Once mainnet is launched and the 6 child chains are operational the success of Walton will be evident. No more deniers etc. Things like this partnership should prove it. I think part of it is that Walton does not self promote like almost all the other cryptos do. So yes, the market is that irrational.
That's what I was saying in the daily and got downvoted to oblivion lol.
Keep in mind guys....most of the top 10-20 projects already have their blockchain live for the masses, they are just working on scaling, adding features, stability, and acquiring solid "real world" partnerships and use cases ;)
We'll just see how Walton's price is looking in a healthy (steady growth) market conditions, with live blockchain, thousands of working gmns / mns earning, and 10-20 live child chains generating mountains of IoT sensor data, etc. etc. It's going to top 5-10 soon enough.
Maybe WTC needs a pepsi boy to write cryptic riddles to pump the price? lol jk.
They're undervalued because they don't organize telegram voting brigades on reddit. Too busy working on the technology.
Interesting to note this is the second branch of China telecom that partnered with wtc. Looks like the relationship may be deeper than was first advertised, or maybe pilot testing in the first branch went well.... 🤔🤔🤔
Is there anywhere in the US that is making these types of advancements with smart cities? It seems like China is way ahead of the curve here.
Well Waltonchain is launching several IoT incubators in the US. :D
Yep. Walton will be working in the US this year with plans for incubators etc. personally I am not aware of any smart city develops in the US, at least on this scale. I think the focus on smart cities is a priority for the Chinese gov just because they want to start really minimizing the effects that industrialization has had on the country. The negative effects are apparent now and they think it’s time to deal with waste and pollution on a large level.
The way I see it is China has the most to benefit from smart cities right now. Once the world sees the efficiencies that will be made the rest of the world will move to it. The US for example doesn’t have as much incentive since waste and pollution here is not deemed as large of a problem. It will be adopted as soon as they realize how much money it will save though.
Smart cities are the future.. buy and hold some $wtc on #binance or #kucoin and join the IOT revolution #waltonchain #IOT
Don’t hold large amounts on exchanges ffs
Good to see that WTC has picked up on communications using Medium instead of those pictures of text. I moved from WTC to its main competitor that is banned here last November but it is good to see where they have come every since I first got in on September 2 (best gem on Reddit shilled every at USD 0.70).
Good news from them! I'm excited to see how it will turn out.
China telecom guys. China telecom. Can't get any bigger than that.
Can someone clue me in as to why blockchain would benefit any of these devices?
Streetlight: Turn itself on at dusk. Turn off at dawn. Signal central station when bulb is not functioning so staff can replace bulb.
Trash bin: Signal that trash collection is needed when bin is full.
The items described in the article seem like great proof of concept to gain attention from investors but the real world usefulness escapes me.
This answers your question i believe
RIP Mr Laserman
Many comments in this thread and sentences in the Medium article sound a lot like an investment pitch laden with buzzwords.
It just seems like an expensive and overly complex solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Streetlights are very simple devices. Adding sensors such as microphones and cameras just reeks of 1984 style monitoring of normal people just going about their daily business.
A dynamically adjusted waste collection route sounds like a good idea but it makes it hell for the staff tasked with the job. Every day the route is different which makes it impossible to find a rhythm to the route. Why not just give the collection staff a tiny device to record how full each can is? It would be so much easier to implement.
I'm sure this tech will have some good uses but streetlights and trash bins are nothing I'll be investing in at the moment.
This is just one of the small places where Waltonchain can be applied. Waltonchain will be doing what IOTA is trying to do, connecting Internet with things. And do it on a fully decentralized and trusted network.
