Looks like the U.K gov could be doing us a favour.

Would take it because it means we get a rest before pumping the tims in their own backyard

This is a total non-story.

The visa process has almost certainly already been completed by the British embassy. There are procedures for situations like this. Ufa won't know for sure until Tuesday because they aren't bothering to take the players passports to the British embassy until Tuesday. That appointment will just be a formality of dealing with the official documents.

Edit: Not even Tuesday, the article implies that the embassy has set up an out-of-hours meeting with them on Monday. I'd say there is zero doubt.

You'd be surprised. It's always a last minute rush but usually gets done as the UK government don't want to be seen as the showstopper.

Can't see this being an issue.

But if you were Ufa why not just apply for the Visa before the 2nd leg? We were 3-1 up and favourites to go through, worst case scenario they lose out on the visa fees.

I'm sure this will be sorted in time. UK government won't want to look silly over it. Still, would be great to rest ahead of the Celtic match

"by the normal process"

Relatively sure this is a non-story. They'll pay some fees and get it sorted.

Can’t see it happening. You can pay to fast track a visa

Feels a bit Celtic-y for me. Would rather play them, get the £1M or so in gate revenue and qualify deserving into the group stage.

I ofc want to play them but I'm not saying no to a free pass tbh, also imagine the outrage on social media, some of them will be physically foaming from the mouth lol

Tbh the utter meltdown from Celtic fans would more than compensate.
