Excuse you but why the personal attacks? 😩😭

[–]overbeast 162 points163 points  (0 children)

A real personal attack would be to take the finger.

[–][deleted] 74 points75 points  (41 children)

I only have one degree but same result. We’re being attacked 😭🤦🏻‍♀️

[–]bigbronze 83 points84 points  (39 children)

Make better decisions on who you date?

[–][deleted] 22 points23 points  (37 children)

I think I trust people too quickly. Can’t hang out with guys as friends, either. It’s hard.

Edit: guess this is becoming a date/relationship advice corner. Spill the beans

[–]bigbronze 15 points16 points  (27 children)

What’s wrong with guy friends?

[–][deleted] 68 points69 points  (26 children)

A lot of guys tend to say “let’s hang out as friends” but have other intentions. The line gets blurry for me, tbh. I have guy friends that watch out for me like they’re my big brother. They try to give me advice and they told me to never trust a guy that says we’ll hang out as friends. So...learning

[–]bigbronze 26 points27 points  (24 children)

First off, if a guy is trying to be with/around you, even if he says just as friends, chances are he is wanting more. So you probably should rethink about it when a guy asks to hang out 1 on 1. If it’s a group thing then you are probably okay; but anything 1 on 1 is a date. Secondly there is no problem with being friendly to people, but do realize that for a lot of guys, that friendly vibe sometimes comes across to us as possibly flirty; so if you just confirm the boundaries and make sure that your intentions are clear and be vocal when a person starts crossing them.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (18 children)

Yeaaaa. Learning this. I’ve also learned having an rbf is super helpful. Makes us unapproachable 🤗

[–]aratelad 13 points14 points  (17 children)

one of my best friends is a girl and we hang out 1 on 1 all the time & i have absolutely zero desire to fuck her. ya'll just too thirsty

[–]joneslife4 32 points33 points  (9 children)

When did she friend zone you bro?

[–]MosKweli 11 points12 points  (5 children)

She ugly? Cause you ain’t no saint for not wanting to fuck an ugly girl my nigga. If she pretty then who you foolin, this the Internet, she ain’t gon see this shit and be all “oh he’s so sweet, he really does want to be my friend, I’ll fuck him now”. Take it back my guy

[–]bigbronze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never said guys and girls can’t hang out 1 on 1, but when starting a new relationship, 1 on 1 May send the wrong signals. Again if things aren’t clarified early on, grey areas are there.

[–]Diddlyliddy 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Don't get why my girl doesn't get this

[–]bigbronze -1 points0 points  (3 children)

She gets it, but she loves the attention and doesn’t want it to stop; also it leaves her options open if you mess up.

[–]Diddlyliddy 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I legit think she might just be that naive

[–]ChadMcRad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I'm a guy who only has lady friends so at least I KNOW none of them have sexual intentions.

[–]supaboss2015 -4 points-3 points  (8 children)

Looool sounds like you are making an excuse. You have to learn to compose yourself and let things come naturally. That’s like saying “I lose money too fast so I won’t spend ever.”

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (7 children)

I guess. My friends just say I’m too naive and make choices I shouldn’t. Life is about learning so I don’t try to look at them as mistakes >.>

I mean. I just started dating a few years ago.

trying to stay positive

[–]AGlassOfOrangeJew -1 points0 points  (6 children)

it's only learning if you actually absorb the lesson and take active steps to avoid making the same mistake in the future

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (5 children)

Yea. I learn something new every time. It’s hard because women and men think and communicate so differently. Men confuse me as women confuse men.

[–]supaboss2015 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is very true. I have been with my girlfriend for 2 years and there are shrill very confusing moments between both of us during arguments

[–]HolyPanties 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two degrees and totally fit the bill. I feel less attacked and more...I dunno? Cliché?

[–]shadstarrrr 15 points16 points  (1 child)

Every time a girl mentions height I feel personally attacked too but usually I just walk away 👌🏾.

[–]Convergecult15 38 points39 points  (0 children)

walk away with your head held medium fam.

[–]envisionandme 420 points421 points  (30 children)

Read with his finger? Look at Floyd Mayweather.

[–]anon123m 263 points264 points  (26 children)

joke's on you because Floyd Mayweather can't read at all

[–]envisionandme 180 points181 points  (3 children)

That's the joke

[–]duaneap 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Luckily he'll never find out about it.

[–]b4dhabits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry replied before reading

[–]Thanos_Stomps 42 points43 points  (12 children)

Jokes on us because he makes more in a fight than most of us will in a lifetime.

[–]pita4912 38 points39 points  (11 children)

You know he’s good at math tho. Ask Floyd the payout of any bet at any odds and I guarantee he knows the answer immediately.

[–]Timmytanks40 37 points38 points  (9 children)

like those guys failing math but converting ounces to grams in seconds. smh

[–]duaneap 30 points31 points  (8 children)

My mind is always blown when you see the ingenuity that goes into shit like home meth labs or illegal home growing weed operations. Like, I'm straight up impressed. This one dude had built an entire fake basement on his own for making meth with a super intricate alarm system and everything... If he applied these skills to an actual job he could have just bought all the meth he wants!

[–]nicecommentmyguy 10 points11 points  (4 children)

. If he applied these skills to an actual job he could have just bought all the meth he wants!

Yeah, if you go through that much trouble to set up and secure a lab, you are selling a lot.

[–]duaneap 3 points4 points  (3 children)

That was not reflected in his lifestyle.

[–]nicecommentmyguy 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Well, meth is pretty cheap compared to other drugs. Small profit margins but enough to fuel your own addiction

[–]NoahsArksDogsBark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that's all that matters when you're hurting for meth

[–]duaneap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point being if he had a job in construction or some shit he would be able to buy meth for himself.

[–]gladvillain 1 point2 points  (2 children)

What’s a fake basement?

[–]duaneap 2 points3 points  (1 child)

So, he had a regular basement to his house but he personally tunneled an additional like 4 feet or something under ground to make a mini methlab that if the cops raided him they couldn't find.

[–]gladvillain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay, thanks for clarifying.

[–]Mike_Lamydia-Burns 9 points10 points  (7 children)

In all seriousness he can read just not very well

[–]GuyMumbles 18 points19 points  (4 children)

To be fair, I think anyone boxing that long with enough blows to the head probably wouldn’t read very well after that kind of career.

[–]Arosales26 18 points19 points  (3 children)

However, he, in particular, has taken almost no clean shots to the head in his whole career. As he says, his goal is to retire with a sharp mind, and I think it's clear he has accomplished that.

[–]GuyMumbles 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Fair enough. I don’t really know enough about his career or reading level to say.

[–]axle69 18 points19 points  (1 child)

A synopsis on him is pretty simple. Mayweather is arguably (less so in my mind but maybe some others) the greatest defensive fighter of all time. He went 50-0 largely off the back of letting other people swing and frustrate themselves which got him the moniker of being boring. In reality he had some of the best ring intelligence in the game and to any boxing aficionado his style was amazing. That being said dude is a piece of shit as well so fuck him.

[–]Imaginary_Dictator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He's good at what he does, he's just not a good person.

[–]Gorge2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people only have a certain amount of bandwidth. While you and I were reading he was learning everything he could about boxing. He has the equivalence of his Ph.D in the sweet science. He could defend his dissertation he just couldn't write it.

He stands out because reading is something society values a lot but you see examples of this all over the place. Think about very intelligent and accomplished people with no social skills. They put all their time into their craft and little into interpersonal relations. Floyd isn't that different. All his time into boxing, little into reading.

[–]outerdrive313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R. Kelly on the other hand...

[–]lovebus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emotional montage where a teacher who cares helps Mayweather read Farmer Duck

[–]yooz2714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of us can read but broke AF who's the real winner

[–]-for-why- 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Wait til he reads this

[–]envisionandme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be safe forever

[–]puffstepdaddyTHIS NIGGA FUCKING CUPCAKES 292 points293 points  (4 children)

He still read it tho.

[–]KanyeRex 50 points51 points  (1 child)

I read this as read, but then I went back and read it as read.

[–]hotkarlmarxbros 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok, I had to pull out the finger to get a hold of this one.

[–]butt_shrecker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standards have hit the floor.

[–]voiderror404 217 points218 points  (24 children)

Yandy Harris is the prime example of this. Educated, business woman, decided to mother her boyfriend's oldest child, then she had a child by him, then he had a child by another woman, then yandy had another child with him. He who is now spending a few years in Federal. They aren't even married. I'll never understand how smart woman go for such stupid men. But hey wale said it best. Hood girls want a smart nigga, college girls all want a thug!

[–]GOWhead92 57 points58 points  (7 children)

Was this a case of mendeecees having his cake and eating it too?

[–]voiderror404 48 points49 points  (3 children)

Guess so. Date a woman who will stand by you after fathering a child outside the relationship then she decides to stay down for you while you're doing (I think) 7-8 years in prison. Part of me feels like it's manipulation. Another part feels like it's being weak. His oldest Childs mom said that prior to yandy becoming famous mendeecees used to cheat on his oldest son's mom with yandy. Men treat you the way you let them.

[–]GOWhead92 33 points34 points  (2 children)

*people treat you the way you let them.

[–]voiderror404 26 points27 points  (1 child)

I said men because this is about women

[–]CoachDT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. I get the feeling if it said "women treat you the way you let them" people would be up in arms tho

[–]BenjerminGray 7 points8 points  (2 children)

I only know this line because of the Joe Budden Podcast.

[–]GOWhead92 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Ay friend of the show!

That’s what I was quoting lol

[–]_xa0s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/r/UnexpectedBudden should be a thing

[–]bettareckognize 49 points50 points  (9 children)

I have a friend who's a doctor and is shacked up with a dude who sits home all day to stream video games with three viewers. Every guy she's dated in the last ten years is either successful and a huge dick or nice and a loser. I dont get it. Part of me thinks she subconsciously goes for fundamentally flawed dudes.

[–]voiderror404 17 points18 points  (4 children)

It's something I really don't understand that much tbh. Maybe the sex is good with him? Lol but I wouldn't let someone who's unemployed playing video games all day live in my house

[–]bettareckognize 23 points24 points  (3 children)

Well, he has income, the source of which I won't get into, so he's not leeching off her. He just doesn't do anything

[–]voiderror404 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Well he should be doing something

[–]bettareckognize 11 points12 points  (1 child)

I agree. He's a smart guy, and I actually like him a lot. I think he's depressed

[–]DammitDan 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Is she ugly?

[–]bettareckognize 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No. One of the prettiest girls I know, actually.

[–]partypooper14 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Father issues maybe.

[–]DammitDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, that'll do it, too.

[–]aDeadrock1 15 points16 points  (1 child)

It might be the "i wanna fix them mentality " haha idk

[–]voiderror404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it's that too actually

[–]DionneWarlock -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Alexyss K Tylor's "penis power" theory could have something to do with it.

[–]voiderror404 24 points25 points  (2 children)

No dick is good enough to permanently link yourself to a cheater and criminal then stay when he's rotting away in prison

[–]Assmonkeyblaster -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Maybe to you, but clearly not to a lot of people.

[–]Belfura 159 points160 points  (3 children)

But she can can change him! 😩😭

[–]Gigantotron 47 points48 points  (2 children)

[–]Slick_Jeronimo 108 points109 points  (3 children)

It works both way. My best friend never made past 9th grade and is married to a psychologist.

[–]courierPDX 70 points71 points  (0 children)

she's a workaholic

[–]burnblue 11 points12 points  (1 child)

"works both ways" would apply if she was playing him. If they're just a happily married couple it's not the same

[–]xero_art 85 points86 points  (3 children)

Blind people have the most game though.

[–]kagakujinjya 23 points24 points  (2 children)

Maybe if I can read Braille I can find the mythical Gspot.

[–]Bard_17 2 points3 points  (1 child)

It's two inches deep and up, texture feels weird

[–]kagakujinjya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh hey, Mr Don Juan here has touched a girl. Or more importantly SEE a girl. Do you also believe in unicorn? Alien abduction? No offense, but girls are just myth. They don't exist.

[–]drunkhighfives 66 points67 points  (9 children)

It's a power move...they just want to feel in control. But it almost always backfires and they end up looking stupid.

[–]JennyBeckman 61 points62 points  (3 children)

It isn't always control. Intelligent women often work with other intelligent women and men. You might get condescended to regularly. Meeting someone who then values your intelligence feels great. It's nice to have someone look to you in admiration. At the same time, it's nice to not have to feel like you need to be firing on all cylinders all the time. Having someone who appreciates other aspects besides your intelligence is a nice change. Put those two things together in a bloke who admires your intelligence but doesn't demand anything from it and who values you for other things - a woman is willing to overlook a lot.

For many, it's about how someone makes you feel not just about what the person brings to the relationship.

[–]onemoreflew 15 points16 points  (1 child)

it's about how someone makes you feel not just about what the person brings to the relationship

Hmmm. This has given me something to think about.

Thank you.

[–]JennyBeckman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Hope it helps.

[–]Avocato1 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Or they aren't judging a man by his wallet.

Total rookie mistake.

[–]Prophet2Nations 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Savior complex maybe?

[–]omega_dawg93 29 points30 points  (1 child)

capt. save a thug?

[–]Prophet2Nations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That should be a thing if it isn't already

[–]omega_dawg93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"... looking stupid while pregnant (again)."

[–]CapnBadass 32 points33 points  (0 children)

That's because he knows how to use his finger. ☝️

[–]whyallthefire 28 points29 points  (0 children)

There are studies that show reading with your finger improves comprehension for people at all reading levels

I don't do it because I care about looking cool but still doesn't mean we need to disparage those who do

[–]KITerps 18 points19 points  (9 children)

The education system is too easy. Too much emphasis on participation and showing up, not enough on actually doing good work.

[–]ItsUncleSam 51 points52 points  (5 children)

Because the education system is designed to make workers

[–]Blackandheavy 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Oh fuck...I wasn’t ready for this

[–]itsyourboishrinp 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Oh feck that gave me something to think about for the day

[–]ItsUncleSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It ain’t supposed to be something deep, just a statement of fact

[–]Valiade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah. It costs resources to make someone educated. So the people getting educated need to be able to replace the resources they spent, otherwise the system collapses.

[–]rick_rock6 17 points18 points  (2 children)

Not the case if you have 2 degrees (assuming its Bachelors and Masters and not assocoates and bachelors)

[–]calshu 14 points15 points  (1 child)

Exactly. People bust their ass to get that Masters

[–]QualityPlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah bachelors is pretty easy for like 80% of majors. I did supply chain and everything was common sense for the most part

[–]Pandaburn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Why you tryna hate on blind people?

[–]MalfiteMeIRL 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Sometimes if I'm having trouble focusing I'll use my finger. It gives me a point in space to focus on, and thus makes it easier to keep on task.

[–]CakeOnceAYear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be retarded because I just end up focused on making my finger trace the line and can't actually read it

[–]DammitDan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Bitch, I have ADHD. It helps me focus.

[–]drumcorpsbitch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bitch my momma has 2 degrees and still reads with her finger

[–]JohnKway 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Using your finger literally makes you read faster and more accurate tho..

[–]sweezinator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

whats wrong with braille?

[–]_joy_division_ 4 points5 points  (2 children)

🙋🏻‍♀️ guilty!!!!

[–]ZeticeMod | 👨🏿Black Akon👱🏿 34 points35 points  (1 child)

congratulations, you played yourself.

[–]linksteady 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Story of my life.

[–]Switters81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blind dudes get all the trim. This is known.

[–]BrownishCrayonish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having a degree doesn't necessarily make you intelligent.

[–]Boss_831 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]hudsonaere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Book smarts doesn't always equal social smarts.

[–]rubywadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What? Like Stevie Wonder?

[–]RedRoba 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Can someone translate this to me

[–]defectivekill 5 points6 points  (1 child)

It's a stereotype that educated black women still love to get with hoodrats

[–]RedRoba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Holy, I'm a fucking idiot I'm from Europe so the first thing that popped into my mind was Degrees celcius...

[–]TostitoNipples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smart girl date dumb boy

[–]Lezzymclezface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this! Lol.

[–]g33kst4r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who needs intelligence when you got charisma?

[–]AudaciousSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And who says we don't live in a classless society 😂😂😂

[–]WGLT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So brail?

[–]Buteverysongislike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ITT: Broke ass niggas, shaming educated women.

Shouldn't the question be, why aren't there enough quality niggas for these educated women? They've probably dated Doctors, Lawyers, etc. who were intimidated by her success......

[–]CaroleAnne29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth! But why?

[–]the_cajun88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dick is a hell of a drug

[–]Jubenheim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The horribly unpopular opinion is that girls like to date jerks. This used to be widely believed and talked about in the 90s and early 2000s but now in today's world, even thinking this is enough to get you lynched by feminists and SJWs who demand we all be politically correct.

[–]kas24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought this was shading blind people at first

[–]tirestarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 Degrees? you mean like they rockin' two of these?

[–]primmslimm77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NIGGA!!! LOL 😂😂😂😂

[–]Archoncy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

r/accidentalableism bc I was really confused as to what the fuck is so bad about blind people

[–]SmooveTrack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Adonis speaks

[–]GoogledYourMom -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Is he deaf? How do you read with your finger if it isn't braille?

[–]dawigas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you put it under each word as you read...

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The term is codependency, they want to feel in control and superior in some way. Stems from insecurity and fear.
