While anyone else was watching, did you want the Rayburns to go down? Like I know in the House of Cards subreddit, mostly everyone was pro-Underwood and few people wanted him to get punished for all his crimes.
I wanted to know if most people are pro-Rayburn or if they want to see the whole family come crashing down like I do?
Btw I just finished season 3 episode 6 (the courtroom episode where Eric bursts out after John lies) and this solidified my Rayburn hate.
Not much nudity, some violence (not too bad though). Is there anything I’m forgetting?
That’s my feeling anyway. I like and sympathize with Danny; yes he was destructive to the family but in the end, Kevin turned out to be just as bad, and he wasn’t half as charming or interesting, plus he was dumb as hell, so I like him less. Kevin sucks.
I know I did. Even though Marco was too good for her and she was shitty for cheating, I could tell there was something still there for a while after. Oh well.
But by the finale, I actually sort of liked his character and appreciated him bc he seemed to feel bad for this fucked up family. And when John told him he was basically like “I’m gonna pretend I never heard that, I don’t wanna deal w that mess bc I’m taking a new job, I’m outta here”
Making calls People not picking up calls People leaving angry voicemails Everyone telling each other to go fuck themselves Slow nighttime conversations with crickets in the background People spying on others from a parked car Desperately reaching for a bottle of tequila and pouring it into a glass People making serious faces at each other whilst smoking cigs People screaming “what the fuck is that supposed to mean”
Anything to add?
I’m just finishing binge watching the entire thing. Very engaging show and well-acted, but some things got a little repetitive. It’s ok though, fun show to watch.
Ever since I finished season 3, I’ve been searching for a show that entrances me as much as Bloodline S1 did. Ozark, True Detective, Narcos, Etc.... I’ve watched a lot of other shows since then, but nothing satisfies me as much as Bloodline s1 did. It was truly something special. A masterclass in pacing, acting, and captivating storytelling. IMO, not one pointless filler episode in this season that I am proud to finally call my favorite season of television ever.
Season 1 of Bloodline was one of my all time favourite seasons of a show. I'm looking for similar shows other than Ozark because I've already seen it.
i started this series 2 weeks ago but hadn't enough time to really dive in it. But man, the last 2 days i've been watching non-stop the season 1 and i have got to say: Ben Mendelsohn is a fucking genius (in my humble opinion ofc), he is nailing episode after episode, what a fucking performance!
now im just gonna fly the hell out of here before i get shot with a plot from the next seasons.
I was enjoying the show, even though it's a slow burner, but now that Danny is dead I'm discouraged from even continuing the show.
I understand that he's going to be there as "ghost Danny", but that whole idea is so played out and has been done so many times on other shows that I feel like it will be more annoying than good. is it worth continuing?
I know this sub is quiet, I’m a latecomer to the series. Fantastic show. I’m halfway through the second season and it’s not as great as the first, but it’s still pretty riveting.
Anyway, I was wondering about the “Anam Cara” tattoo that Eric O Bannon has on his right bicep. Anam Cara is apparently Gaelic for “soul friend.” Does anyone think this may have a meaning pertaining to his relationship with Danny? Maybe Danny had a similar tattoo? It’s a small detail, and it may be meaningless (or a real tattoo that the actor has) but either way, I found it interesting. Hard for me to believe it wasn’t intentional.
I searched the sub and didn’t see any posts about it. Any thoughts?
