Reusing pickle solution?

I made dill pickles using a Ball recipe, but I didn't use all of the liquid that you pour into the jars. Would it be okay if I put the left over in the fridge and then bring it to a boil again and use it for another batch of pickles? It would only be in the fridge for 2 or 3 days.

I always tend to make too much brine. You can use the leftover as a marinade, for pickled eggs maybe? I saw pickle brine in the liquor section today, Maybe a cocktail?

For quick pickles that you'll be eating soon or for pickles that will be on the shelf for awhile?

For quick pickles, I think you would be fine. Probably even if you were putting up pickles since the preservation comes from the acid and salt. Maybe freshen it up with a little bit of fresh vinegar and check the flavor. It might be a little flat after sitting for a few days.

The recipe is for shelf stable pickles. They get a waterbath for 10 min

In that case, I would just start over for safety sake.
