LPT: Want to watch Netflix at night on big tv without disturbing sleeping people? Plug in your headphones into your phone and play the same movie on the phone and TV (on mute).

I am doing this every time my wife falls asleep early (7 mo pregnant) and I still want to watch something. It takes me 2-3 attempts of pause/play on the 2 devices before I get them in perfect sync.

They sell wireless headphones that you can use for your television.

I play with what I have.

I bet you do ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Our technology far outweighs your workaround.

If you're watching from a Roku device, you can download the app which allows you to play the audio through your phone. No need to try to sync 2 movies to play at the same time.

Or just buy the Roku that lets you plug headphones into the remote.

I just connect my Bluetooth headphones to the Tv...seems less complicated.

Help your pregnant wife up to the bedroom and let her get a good night's sleep. I mean...

Tv in the bedroom

I bought this with an 4x2 HDMI switch & splitter on my TiVo and AppleTV. Not only do I get a large, bright picture and loud theater sound, it’s totally isolated, so that my wife can sleep undisturbed right next to me in bed. Totally worth it.

I didn’t even know such device existed.

Ya, it’s great, and it doubles as a Beats-lookalike wired headphones.

I connect my laptop to the TV make the audio output my laptop and plug headphones into that. Less hassle timing them and easier, at least for me.

Apple TV allows you to play Audio to a bluetooth device

-Settings -Remotes/Devices -Bluetooth -Find your device. 👍🏻

Switching Audio between Devices

-Settings -Audio/Video -Audio Output. (Choose Headphones or Apple TV)

Our Roku player takes a headphone jack in the remote to do this.

For Xbox users, you could just connect your headphones into the controller and mute the TV

TIL big TV = big speakers
