LPT: Before buying expensive books for college search the internet, there might be a free PDF of the book out there. Market places and yardsale pages also might have text books for supper cheap.

I see too many people in class blowing their money on books I've found for free. It might seem like common sense but from experience a good chunk of people don't take advantage of all their recourses.

Super LPT; ask the professor if you even need the book

This this back in 2006 when I started collect. First semester I made the mistake of going to the bookstore and buying all the books for like $400. . .i think I got like $30 back at the end of the semester as most of them were now "out of date" and worth 1c to the bookstore.

Next semester I waited until after my first day of class to buy anything. Going to the class let me assess if I'd actually need the book that the professor was "required" to have on file [every class needed a book so I'm told] and it allowed me to talk with my professor to see if buying a version or two back would be a problem - I never had a professor tell me that I couldn't do it. . .I even had one math professor [a subject that is notorious for nightly homework] who suggested that if I went a version back my homework problems might be different but if I made sure to write the problem and not just the answer she would accept it, she also lent me her teacher's edition for a few days until the one I purchased via the internet came in the mail."

Any books I needed to get I would get on half.com [which was owned by amazon at the time and still is, but was definitely a way better site back in the day]. . I ended up usually spending under $100 per semester on books.

Most libraries a have a book scanner. Buy books, spend a day at the library copying, return.

OP, from which site do you get full PDFs of the books?
