I enjoy teen Peter Parker from Homecoming and Ultimate Spider-Man, but I’m psyched we get to see older Peter more, both in this and the upcoming PS4 game. Maybe cos I’m getting older now I relate to old Parker more

[–]ZevonFB 244 points245 points  (9 children)

Fuck me will that game just come out already.

[–]FrostedCherry 99 points100 points  (1 child)

The hype is killing me, I'm in the same boat.

[–]TaperTurtle 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I was just getting content with waiting after e3, but now with silver sable and the ps4 pro getting revealed, im insanely hyped again. Cant wait.

[–]phrawst125 15 points16 points  (4 children)

I'm torn on getting the spidey ps4 pro or waiting for brack friday. I don't really care for the red console but don't want to wait.

[–]creaturecatzz 9 points10 points  (3 children)

I'd start a pre-order on it if you're flip floping. Worst case scenario you cancel it and get your money back. That's where I'm at now and I'm glad I'm going to have the option up until release to choose

[–]phrawst125 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I think I'll wait. I don't really care for the red console, plus its going in a cabinet where you can't see it.

Pretty safe to say black Friday deals will be better than a bundled in game. I'll just have to hold out for a couple months before I can play. Enough games in the meantime to keep me busy though.

[–]ZemeOfTheIce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

September! We just have to wait a little over one month!

[–]TheGamerKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who's actually kind of concerned for this game? The story looks generic as all shit and the swinging feels kind of off...like, I guess for me it just doesn't have momentum and it doesn't feel right. Spider-Man 2 and Web of Shadows both nailed the swinging, but something about the swinging in Spider-Man 2018 just feels like it's bad. I'm not digging the combat either. It looks like someone tried to do Arkham and failed. Hopefully it's good and my opinion changes when I get my hands on it, though. We haven't had a good Marvel game since Ultimate Alliance.

[–]TheRealRaiden 4 points5 points  (2 children)

I grew up with the 90s cartoon. Older Peter is my Peter.

[–]I_am_up_to_something 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was so ripped there that he looked more like a jock than a nerd even before he got bitten.

Because of nostalgic he's the best spidey imo, though some others come pretty close.

[–]whiskerbiscuit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you man. I can hear the theme tune now

[–]TableHockey31313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parker is in his early 30s in the comics rn. He's like 32.

[–]stevenpooniverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game Peter isn’t as old as this Peter but I agree.

[–][deleted] 768 points769 points  (59 children)

Miles get dressed for school as his pants shrink. He realizes he might have just hit puberty. As he walks through school continuing his thought, text boxes showing the thoughts pop up on the screen like a comic panel. In school, he gets his hand caught in Gwen’s hair and can’t get it out. After he fails to get his hand out, the nurse has to shave her head to get him free from her.

I guess that's why Gwen's hair is shaved.

[–]ubermaan 492 points493 points  (1 child)

That is a genuinely unsettling description

[–]cgknight1 114 points115 points  (2 children)

Miles get dressed for school as his pants shrink.

This reads a little differently to Brits. I remember being a lad and my pants shrinking as well...

[–]DrMooseman 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I did think that was a little blunt for a Spider-Man animation.

[–]imakefilms 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That's not exclusive for Brits. That euphemism works whether you mean underwear or trousers.

[–]Kafferty3519 97 points98 points  (10 children)

Ok that’s pretty funny

I’m not a huge fan of that look on guys or girls but that sounds great

[–]JamesinaLake 169 points170 points  (9 children)

Not sure why but on some women I super dig it

[–]soulsivleruniverse 66 points67 points  (3 children)

100% agree

[–]Evilux 65 points66 points  (2 children)

It fits cyberpunk themes so well.

[–]soulsivleruniverse 26 points27 points  (1 child)

I never realized why I liked cyberpunk so much until now

[–]xSpektre 5 points6 points  (0 children)

..the hair!!

[–]AnnorexicElephant 25 points26 points  (2 children)

In my opinion, most girls look better with longer hair - but when a girl can rock a short cut, especially with that half shaven look ... RIP to me

[–]Waltonruler5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Natalie Dormer 😍

[–]A_Feathered_Raptor 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I really wish I hadn't read that, I'm gonna love seeing this on the screen

[–]GodOfBlobs 12 points13 points  (3 children)

How does he even get his hand stuck in hair?

[–]accountnumberseven 42 points43 points  (1 child)

I assume either with an organic webbing leak or his wall-crawling ability won't turn off.

[–]GodOfBlobs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh. I forgot about the webs, I thought he had just got his hand stuck in some hair without anything sticking it in

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

New spider powers he's not used to?

[–]AnimeDreama 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a cute look though

[–]2fast2fat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Miles get dressed for school as his pants shrink. He realizes he might have just hit puberty."

...Is this trying to imply that his pants shrinked because his dick grew?

[–]Leo_TheLurker 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Alright now I don't mind the haircut as much

[–]Chicken_Giblets 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was actually going to comment how cool I thought her hair was so lol thanks for this

[–]gameonaed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gwen is a member of a rock band, it's not wonder she would have that kind of hairstyle to since she is a rockstar

[–]CoachSDot[🍰] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's going on here?

[–]masterxak 3 points4 points  (1 child)

So this isn't a Gwen from a different universe? It's just a Gwen that's the same age as miles. And from his universe that also conveniently gets spider powers? Or was she at his school for a different reason?

[–][deleted] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

There is a hall of Spider-Man suits. Kingpin reveals himself, his body is huge. He is going to hunt Spider-Man. The two flee from a lab and use trees in the woods to run. They are pursued by armed scientists with laser guns. After getting caught in webs, Gwen Stacy saves them, and says she is from another dimension.

[–]TokyoFoxtrot 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Oh thank god, that hairdo looked awful. Glad it's not permanent.

[–]ShiningOblivion 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I dunno, seems to match the eyebrow piercing

[–]-Mountain-King- 35 points36 points  (5 children)

I disagree, undercuts look great.

[–]digidado 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I like it

[–]AoO2ImpTrip 132 points133 points  (17 children)

I really hope this is the beginning of an age of Marvel putting out animated movies that come close to the quality of the DCAU movies...

It would be the best of times

[–][deleted] 43 points44 points  (5 children)

This is more Sony than Marvel.

[–]NGMajora 21 points22 points  (3 children)

Yeah Disney seems a lot more interested in making Hero cartoons aimed a young kids sadly

[–]suss2it 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I think that’s entirely Marvel’s decision. Disney aired Star Wars Rebels which is more mature than any of the recent Marvel cartoons and they’re about to bring back The Clone Wars.

[–]TheRealRaiden 9 points10 points  (1 child)

I highly disagree. While there are certain episodes that are absolutely aimed at a more mature audience, the majority of Rebels is extremely kid-friendly. Unlike the Clone Wars which, if memory serves right, was mostly mature with a couple of kid-friendly episodes.

[–]suss2it 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s kid friendly and overall less mature than Clone Wars but that wasn’t my point. Compared to literally any current Marvel cartoon, Rebels is mature. They had a villain offscreen decapitate someone in the first season, they legit killed off a main character in the last season and another was responsible for creating a deadly weapon for the Empire and had to cope with that trauma.

These are not things or themes you’ll see explored in any of the Marvel cartoons which leads me to believe it’s not a Disney mandate but merely Marvel’s choice.

[–]zUltimateRedditor 7 points8 points  (10 children)

But honestly, I miss 2D animation. There’s something that’s just so rustic and awesome about it. Isn’t it cheaper also?

[–]NGMajora 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Genndy Tarkovsky said something about want to revive 2d a while back I wish him luck

[–]zUltimateRedditor 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Hmm... but also like high quality animation like you see in the DCAU. Can you imagine that level in a tv series?? Legendary.

[–]NGMajora 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I wish Disney/Marvel would put actual effort into their cape cartoons so we could get more EMH type shows but it seems they aren't interested

[–]zUltimateRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t 2D also cheaper than 3D?

[–]suss2it 1 point2 points  (3 children)

That’s why you gotta become a DC fan so you can grt the quarterly animated movies, and the upcoming 3rd season of Young Justice. Or you could always start watching anime.

[–]zUltimateRedditor 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I guess you missed my other comment where I was raving about them.

I want the type of animation that they used in Superman/Batman Apocalypse, Under the Red Hood and Flashpoint Paradox; I know it isn’t realistic, but my God it’s amazing!

[–]suss2it 1 point2 points  (1 child)

That Wonder Woman & Big Barda vs the Female Furies fight in Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is amazing and has some of the best fighting choreography and animation I’ve ever seen.

[–]zUltimateRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup!!! And the Darkseid fight at the end!

[–]TheRealRaiden 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If Don Bluth is to be believed, no. I guess it essentially boils down to 3D assets being extremely easy to reuse (it's not uncommon to hear of a Disney movie undergoing major rewrites mid-production), while the assets you can reuse for 2D (like backgrounds) are quite limited, which is why at the end of the day a CGI flick is faster and cheaper to make.

[–]zUltimateRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope it does come back!

[–]Jakeremix 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Spider-Man is bigger than ever and it makes me so happy

[–]__PM__ME_YOUR_BOOTY_ 406 points407 points  (35 children)

I like these looks, I appreciate how they are doing there own thing with the character design, particularly Gwen and Peter.

The shaved head suits Gwen’s character and Peter’s beard and height really emphasize Peter’s and Miles’s age difference.

[–]KatjaaRa 170 points171 points  (34 children)

but why does Peter looks washed up? Even in the trailer he asked Miles to pay for the food

[–]__PM__ME_YOUR_BOOTY_ 236 points237 points  (12 children)

I haven’t seen the trailer, so I can’t really say for sure, but Peter being broke is usually a typical Spider-man trope apart from some of the recent comics where he ended up being a CEO of his own company, so that doesn’t really sound that off the mark to me.

[–]DaJokur10 64 points65 points  (10 children)

Yeah I agree. I remember reading and watching some shows where Peter Parker turns out to be the CEO of Parker Industries or something like that. Peter was exceptionally smart for his age in high school.

[–]_Valisk 71 points72 points  (9 children)

Parker Industries was the result of Doc Ock making some smart investments while he was inside Peter’s body. I’m pretty sure he’s since lost his good fortune.

[–]MushroomBot 54 points55 points  (8 children)

Doc Ock making some smart investments while he was inside Peter’s body.

[–]painfool 7 points8 points  (7 children)

No that's literally what happened. The Superior Spider-man series is entirely Doc Ock's brain transferred into Peter's body.

[–]MushroomBot 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I know haha I was just making a joke

[–]Gonzzzo 30 points31 points  (0 children)

One of the first Spider man comics I remember reading starts with Peter debating on how much food to steal from his roommate because he has no money. Singing Bohemian Rapsody. Naked.

Really impacted my view of what adulthood is all about

[–]Highcalibur10 55 points56 points  (11 children)

There seems to be 2 Peter Parkers at least in the trailer. One's the John Krazinski one who saves Miles and the Jake Johnson one who seems almost homeless level disheveled and poor who'll train Miles, I'm thinking likely after the first Peters death.

[–]Corvo_DeWitt 18 points19 points  (10 children)

John Krazinski

I'm pretty sure its only Jake Johnson

[–]PhilDunphy_ 35 points36 points  (8 children)

There’s multiple Spider-Man’s in the film. John will voice on of them. Nic cage will also voice one.

[–]Corvo_DeWitt 14 points15 points  (7 children)

I haven't seen any news regarding Krasinski

Maybe you're thinking John Mulaney as Spider-Ham?

[–]Gonzzzo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

John Mulaney as Spider-Ham

[–]PhilDunphy_ 22 points23 points  (5 children)

First link on google.

I am excited for mulaney as spider jam.

Edit: it was a rumor. My bad!

[–]neoshadow1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bitten by a radioactive raspberry?

[–]Gonzzzo 29 points30 points  (0 children)

When you first see Spidey in the trailer he says "Hey kid...you're like me...how?" and it definitely isn't Jake Johnson speaking

[–]King_Nomarch 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This version of Peter is 40 years old so he's been Spider-Man for 25 years. Jake Johnson mentioned that his version of Peter doesn't really want to be Spider-Man anymore. Being Spider-Man for so long likely ruined his personal life.

[–]isaiah_rob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Emergency Awesome pointed out that Peter is 40 years old in this movie

[–]Xero0911 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Here is my guess.

This is a different peter. He seems older than "our" peter. This guy just feels too old to me. Also theres a scene where miles looks at a suit inside a tube (kinda like batman has his stuff out for show). Which isnt something peter did so thinking hes different.

Plus and potiental spoiler. We know Peter is dead or dies, that was already shown in the trailer. In miles world Peter dies. Then he becomes spiderman. So this one is a different one right off the back. Hence why he isnt what we are use to.

The way I see it. The peter of this world is dead, or dies early on. Miles decides to replace him. Meets this older peter who trains hin

[–]Mexipino56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I feel like a lot of people didn't notice the gravestone in the first trailer. Spidermans voice is also different the first time you hear him say, "You're like me." in the second trailer than when you hear Jake Johnson's voice in the rest of the trailer.

[–]Dapper-Rowlett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure he asked Miles to pay for the food because he came from a different universe/dimension. Probably had some sort of different currency in Miles's dimension.

But yeah Peter being broke isn't anything new.

[–]TheMattInTheBox 2 points3 points  (2 children)

We see two Spideys in the trailer. One voiced by Jon Krasinski and one by Nick Miller.

I'll be Krasinksi voices Miles' Spider-Man who dies, and Nick Miller is from an alternate universe, and Miles learns from him

[–]BEAR_DICK_PUNCH 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Krasinski isn't in the movie though

[–]TheMattInTheBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw that just after I posted lol, sounds like him in the trailer though.

I still think there's two Spider-Men (maybe both voiced by Miller), since we do see Peter's tombstone in the first trailer

[–]Rynvael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe he asks Miles to pay in the trailer because he doesn't have any money on him at the moment. In the trailer you can see his Spider suit below what he's wearing when he's eating the burger (if I'm wrong about this some correct me)

[–]CitizenKeen 244 points245 points  (20 children)

This looks awesome. Just showed my wife the trailer, she's super pumped.

Is something off with the animation? Is it, like, 3D'd or something? It feels weird.

[–]Nix_Uotan 184 points185 points  (2 children)

CG animation plus some other unique techniques that I can't remember.

[–]Ieatpwns 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Chromatic aberration.

[–]ouroboros-panacea 30 points31 points  (0 children)

[–]lolbat107 40 points41 points  (8 children)

They made the framerate intentionally lower than the usual 24fps.So the picture doesnt flow smooth like normal movies. The low framerate combined with the art style give you that wierd feeling.

[–]Astrokiwi 19 points20 points  (1 child)

They also added some chromatic aberation as a focusing thing

[–]black6211 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a technique used in some comics for making background things like faraway buildings look out of focus. They red-blue shift them, a little like old 3D movies. The farther something is from the focus point, the more red-blue shifted it is.

it's a really cool effect.

[–]imakefilms 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's still 24fps, it's just that certain parts are animated in twos, sometimes threes. Which means a frame stays on screen for the length of two or three frames instead of just one. It's used a lot on 2d animation

[–]-_-Crazy-_- 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Did they? I thought they just used this in specific motions, like the lip syncing, but in the trailer there were definitely smooth motions. Its a mix of the two right?

[–]lolbat107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont really know.I just posted what I understood from other previous reddit posts regarding this movie.

[–]Instantbeef 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Arnt most movies 24 fps. I don’t feel like looking it up so I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure

[–]Electrorocket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most US produced theatrical films are 24 fos, though there have been a few experiments in high frame rates, such as the Hobbit.

[–]eharper9 65 points66 points  (3 children)

Its 3d comic book style

[–]tehawesomedragon 16 points17 points  (2 children)

I think it's awesome and I'm looking forward to it, but I don't think children will pick up on that really, since current comics don't look like that.

[–]eharper9 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Im stoked for it. If it works out maybe we could get comic book style movies. Aside from the ones we got.

[–]413612 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i think that even if they don't "get" the animation, they'll still fuck with it. this movie is stylistic and colorful and full of life and so amazing and i'm so excited for it

[–]Matthawk821 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's very unique animation style, but rest assured it's what they want. It's like a hybrid 3D/2D animation style, but it mostly reminds me of that newspaper love story short from disney.

[–]HerpesBurpes 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Low-key reminds me of the way they did the peanuts movie

[–]shankspeare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they're using fairly similar animating style. 3D CG Animation combined with an intentionally low framerate to give a stop-motion-esque vibe.

[–]monkeymanod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully the movement isn't weird, reminds me kind of the Neil Patrick Harris Spiderman cartoon which made me sick because the motion was just awful.

[–]TamatoaZ03h1ny 137 points138 points  (0 children)

Oooh, unmasked Gwen.

[–]jGatzB 22 points23 points  (2 children)

I'm honestly surprised more people in this thread don't know about Spider-Gwen. People in the comments are getting their continuities crossed up.
The Spider-Verse comics introduced an alternate Gwen Stacy, who was bit by the spider instead of Peter. Peter intentionally gave himself superpowers to impress her and became this universe's version of The Lizard. Gwen was forced to fight him, and he died as her "great power, great responsibility" lesson.
All this "mnehh she's supposed to be Peter's GF" shit is clearly coming from people who haven't pieced together the huge "alternate universe crossover" part of this puzzle.

[–]-Thourne- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They be newbs

[–]suss2it 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s too surprising. Comics have the smallest audience of all the mediums Marvel touches and outside of comics she only appeared in one episode of the Spider-Man cartoon before the current one.

[–]yummycrabz 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I’m in love with this art style. More please, more haha

[–]GalactusAteMyPlanet 17 points18 points  (17 children)

So this Gwen isn't in college or what?

[–]Nasalhorse 9 points10 points  (16 children)

I saw earlier on the thread that supposedly shes miles age

[–]marccoogs 22 points23 points  (12 children)

Peter will be 40 years old in this movie.

[–]coool12121212 5 points6 points  (11 children)

It's gonna be a bit awkward that gwen is 15 here. I wonder what there relationship will be like?

[–]Rockin_Dead 19 points20 points  (2 children)

Like uncle and niece

[–]coool12121212 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Weird. Assuming this Peter already married and lost his orignal gwen.

[–]suss2it 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think House Of M Peter is the only one that actually married her. Plus they could easily just not bring it up or make him overprotective of her given what happened to his Gwen.

[–]lostinkmart 2 points3 points  (7 children)

I’m betting the relationship will be between Miles and Gwen.

[–]coool12121212 5 points6 points  (6 children)

Which makes it more awkward

[–]J0SE777 55 points56 points  (2 children)

Gwen sort of looks like Benedict Cumberbatch

[–]HIGHIGHIGHIGHIGH[🍰] 44 points45 points  (0 children)

My goodness why did you have to say it

[–]Kurwasaki12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But can she say penguin?

[–]AobaSona 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Daddy Peter is just <333

[–]Lupinthrope 6 points7 points  (4 children)

Gwen looks older than miles here no?

[–]King_Nomarch 23 points24 points  (1 child)

She's 15 in this and he's 13.

[–]suss2it 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Makes sense, that’s how it is in the comics too.

[–]Lupinthrope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just seeing what the age difference was, they were shown to have a possible future together

[–]Ranger447 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Still not over how amazing the animation is. So stylistic

[–]2fast2fat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It makes me sad that the one time in media we appear to be getting a good representation of Miles(Counting current comic books), he has to share his movie with a plethora of side characters, hell, he won't even be the only current Spider-man in his universe considering Gwen goes to his same school and also has spider-powers now, he basically lost his main drive to becoming Spider-man.

At least i hope Spider-ham, Noir, and specially Gwen who now appears to be one of the major characters are there for one or 2 scenes and let the rest of the movie be a Miles-Peter movie, Miles deserves some good content for himself, specially considering his last good comic book was back in his original volume. I mean, they hamfist him into any Spider-man related media even if it doesn't fit at all, and now that he has his own movie they make it Spider-verse 2.0?

[–]slippingparadox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Imagine being so against anything "SJW" or anything slightly liberal/young that an interesting hairstyle in a comic book movie triggers you.

[–]TheEndlessSummers 14 points15 points  (6 children)

Is it true miles venom blast puts miles streets ahead of the rest of the other spiders if he was to go all out?

[–]whiskerbiscuit2 28 points29 points  (5 children)

Not really. It’s a power the other Spidermen don’t have but it’s not gamechanging. It might give him a slight advantage, but similarly Parker’s age and experience would give him a slight advantage too. So no I don’t think it would put him “miles” ahead of the others.

[–]INSAN3DUCK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He has invisibility if he gets shield training like in ultimate spiderman he will have way more advantage than peter considering he became spiderman at such young age

[–]imaxwebber 29 points30 points  (1 child)

i like gwens hair it looks like the hair a rocker would have

[–]laughin-man 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same, i think the hair and piercing really fits her Spider-Gwen personality.

[–]frosti_austi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not one for "updates" but I'm really digging this look!!!

[–]warcroft 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Why do I get the feeling Parker is going to be portrayed as a doofus?

[–]YodasFreeBoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is Parker ever not a doofus?

[–]AthleticNerd_ 2 points3 points  (4 children)

What is Gwen’s superhero name?

We refer to her as Spider-Gwen, but that seems like not an optimal superhero name to keep a secret identity.

[–]EpicD0m 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Originally Spider-Woman but now apparently Ghost Spider

[–]DoctahZoidberg 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Recently the push is "Ghost Spider" but I think in her universe she's the OG Spider-girl?

[–]sapphicromantic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She's Spider-Woman in her universe, but her comic is getting renamed to Ghost- Spider, so I assume that will be her in- universe name.

[–]GoSkers29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Their collective spider sense is going off in reaction to the ridiculous (-ly amazing) casting news that was confirmed.

[–]MaximumFlux 2 points3 points  (2 children)

These are going to be clashing universes right? Like everyone is entering the Ultimate universe somehow because isn’t Peter dead in the Ultimate universe hence Miles origin story ? Plus that look at Peter Porker as Spider-Ham had confused me too lol

[–]suss2it 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yeah. Hence the “Spider-Verse” part of the title.

[–]MaximumFlux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this whole time the title completely flew over my head lolol

[–]DarkAlphaZero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who’s reminded of a little kid dressing like their dad when they see Miles and Peter in this picture?

[–]AHMilling 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Why does gwen look so young, why does she look the same age as miles?

[–]suss2it 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because she’s young and around the same age as Miles...

[–]stevenpooniverse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact they straight up said this isn’t supposed to be in the normal multiverse and it’s their own story makes me more excited. I was apprehensive on the older wiser Peter but since he’s not supposed to be our regular Peter it helps me buy in to it.

I can’t wait for it to come out. I remember when Miles was supposed to be played by Donald Glover.

[–]altgrave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

whelp, petey does look like a nerd.

[–]avoozl42 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, I love Gwen's hair.

[–]NotTheGuacamole 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[–]Cetarial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All three of them look homeless.

[–]falenanjel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it just me or is there a weird cross-hatch texture to their skin, I understand texture lines on suits and clothes, but the skin is throwing me off...

[–]Mizerous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gwen looks great.

[–]Stopthelemurs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope they dont try to push Gwen and Miles together...

[–]malaywaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]mcrib 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Didn’t Peter and Gwen go to high school together? Why does he look 15-20 years older?

[–]Nathan_Wiebe 17 points18 points  (4 children)

Peter is from a universe in which Gwen died I believe, Spider Gwen is from a universe where Peter died . Simple answer different universe shenanigans

[–]Affectionate_Reason 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Why does Gwen have a piercing? Isn’t she supposed to be the good girl daughter of a cop that the Green Goblin killed?

[–]EpicD0m 9 points10 points  (1 child)

This Gwen’s a drummer in her universe in a band called the Mary Janes.

[–]John-333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I call Group Tingle

[–]Lord_Phoenix95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]torch_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear, when I saw the thumbnail of the picture, I thought Miles was Donald Glover........

[–]Ashybuttons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peter's head looks too small.

[–]awc130 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Kinda sad they didn't include Kaine or Miguel who aren't as popular spiders but that might have made the cast too big for a first movie that might be an introduction of casual fans to alternate spidermen.

[–]suss2it 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Who knows, they might still at least have a cameo. But since Kaine is from Peter’s earth and Miguel is too just further down in the timeline I get why they wouldn’t feel the need to include them.

[–]theavenged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Gwen being played by Ruby Rose or something?

[–]Eman5805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a TellTale game.

[–]Flergenheim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want this to come out already. I won't be in the states when it premieres and I don't want to have to wait a few months

[–]web_head91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This movie looks so fucking weird.

[–]KadenReed 0 points1 point  (0 children)
