This is either a strange coincidence, or a genius callback in PeepShow.
I decided to start another run and noticed in S01E01: Warring Fractions, at 2min 40sec there is a girl with an Australian accent on the TV that Mark is watching. Her name shows as Lindsey and she says "I'm basically looking to meet someone like myself" and mark's inner monologue replies '“That’s exactly the opposite of what I’m looking for" - https://imgur.com/a/1QQpsUL
Fast forward to S05E3: Jeremy's Broke, and Saz says "Mark! Come and lick Lindsey's asshole, it's cleeeaaan!!" - https://youtu.be/y83l9TNgQS8?t=2m28s - It's clear in this episode that Saz and her friends are the opposite to Mark, even though he thinks she may be 'The One'.
This could be totally random, but would be great if the writers set this up. Or maybe they just know a really annoying Australian called Lyndsey...
I noticed today that Jeremy references a "porn film with a proper story" in Season 1, Episode 1, as well as Season 5, Episode 4. Are there any other episodes where this is referenced?
What is there relationship they are in my opinion the best supporting characters. They generally seem to get on as they both consider themselves alphas, Johnson normally laughs at Jeffs jokes and Johnson has relied on Jeff more than enough times so in work he seems dependable. Wondered what other people thought
I know Peep Show's mostly a rapid-fire succession of irreverent jokes, but weren't there a few quasi-serious or somewhat stirring scenes here and there? For example, I'm thinking of the scene between Mark and Sophie towards the end of Season 2, Episode 6 ("Wedding"), where Mark is saying he liked Sophie's friend but she's just "not you," then Harry Nilsson is heard in the background as Jeff cries into Sophie's clothing.
Maybe they were few and far between, but I always liked to have a genuinely touching moment here and there to sort of counterbalance the show's otherwise caustic nature. Are there any other scenes like this you can remember?
