Hey all,

Riverdale Season 1 and Season 2 can now be binged on Netflix for the US people so the spoiler period for Season 2 has ended!

You will still need to tag any future casting for Season 3 that can be deemed as spoilers!

Hey all,

We had another contest that ran during the early part of season 2 to guess the identity of the Black Hood for a special flair.

Click here for the contest thread, we also had a similar contest in Season 1 for a special fiar "Zombie Jason".

This contest, there are two winners since there were two Black Hoods.

The first winner that guessed closely that the Black Hood is Hal Cooper is /u/Duckduckpun Click here for his guess & for Tall Boy is /u/hype-iwnl- Click here for his guess.

We will be making a special flair (Probably Black Hood flair) for both of you!

She's too young to be his mom (though she'd be perfect for it otherwise) and too old to be Jellybean, but I thought about this now & she's basically female Jughead. She nails the dark moody angsty loner thing better than anyone. She couldn't play his mom or sister, but if Jughead ever has scenes with extended family, she'd make a great cousin or maybe aunt.

If the show ever needs some kind of criminal or evil role, she'd be great. Personally I think she'd be great as a cult leader or high-ranking cult member- she's great at being deceptively charming/friendly/nice while secretly plotting something. A lot of people can't really do that & have a hard time with the duality/Jekyll & Hyde thing, but she'd be great at it as a cult leader or member. In both Breaking Bad & Jessica Jones she's nailed playing characters who are both kinda nice but also super dark. She's generally known for being perfect at dark characters but if you've seen Jessica Jones (good show btw) you'll know she can also be great at showing a nicer caring side too. Combine that hidden nice side with how good she is at being a dark moody loner character, and she could be fantastic in Riverdale since the whole premise of the show is Jekyll/Hyde seemingly nice but actually dark af. And on top of all that, she's already worked with Netflix and has played comic book characters (Jessica Jones). She's basically the perfect actress to be in Riverdale

It’s on: Audiobooksync as part of their teen Summer Reading initiative.

It’s a coming of age and coming out story with some themes that re-emerged in Riverdale: the horror movies (of course), H. P. Lovecraft, and a writer’s appreciation for vintage typewriters.

It’s genuinely tender and also funny with some really powerful messages about that conflict between family and following dreams. In general, this is just a great Summer deal - they offer 2 free audiobooks/plays per week for 13 weeks.

Alright so I'm minding my own business, binge watching Riverdale again, and I start Ep 12 of Season 1. I quickly notice that FP has fresh grown beard, when supposedly he had shaved his beard in the last episode. Now I get how a week passes in normal shows, but A) this isn't a normal show and B) Ep 11 ends on Homecoming Night and Ep 12 is that same night. So how is it that FP has a beard in less than a day! Can anyone help me?

Think Archie is kinda into Betty?

As far as we’ve seen, Betty is always the one who’s made moves (she literally crushed on him for so long, she’s the one who leaned in the kiss)

I get that sometimes he has longing looks (honestly only once, in the S1 finale) but other than that, he’s pretty much always been devoted to Veronica??

It seems to me like if there was a thing between them, Betty is the only one’s showed advances

I only get to watch an episode every once in awhile and I'm partly through season 2 right after black hood WITHOUT SPOILERS Should I give up on Veronica or does she make a comeback because right now it seems like she's delving deep into her dad's Shady business and is going to screw over the whole town

No I’m not saying break them up. For Varchie there’s no common interests or anything other than physical attraction. They like each other, but in all honesty their relationship seems more like FWBs who caught feelings than 2 people who genuinely wanted to date each other in a serious relationship.

Even for people who say “yea but they both have a passion for music,” Veronica’s not super passionate about music like Josie or Archie. She likes music, but doesn’t really have that same genuine passion for it. She only does some songs to take her mind off what’s going on at home with her parents, & as a favor to Archie. Most of Varchie’s relationship seems to be based solely on physical attraction, & underneath they don’t really have much. They like each other & they have their moments where they can work well, but they’re pretty inconsistent. Both the characters & actors don’t always work well together. You can tell kJ & camila are friends, so it makes the relationship at times seem a bit awkward & pretend. Archie worked way better with Valerie. They worked really well together, both as characters & actors.

Even if you say “yeah but Archie & Veronica have mutual friends,” do they really though? Veronica & Jughead almost never interact, & tbh they’ve never really been friends. By association & proximity they hang out as a group, but they’re not really friends. Jughead actually kinda hates Veronica & her family. Plus how close are Veronica & Betty? They have their moments, but Betty tends to isolate herself from everyone except Jughead. Even though they spend time together, there’s not always a ton of actual friendship. In season 1 there was, but season 2 was basically Varchie vs Bughead. So are they even mutual friends at this point? A little bit but not really as of now. So if Veronica & Archie don’t really have any mutual interests or mutual friends, what do they have in common? Not much honestly. I get opposites attract but you still need some stuff in common. Other then physical attraction, Varchie doesn’t really have anything substantive on a psychological/emotional level.

I know it’s been a while since Free comic book day (first Saturday of May every year) but I just read the Riverdale comic from this year and I really enjoyed it. I was wondering if anyone else has. It definitely has me see Pops in a new light if this comic could be considered canon to the show.

That was pretty much the most active episode. The Ghoulies, Peppa's son attacking Hiram, Black Hood's identity was found and that scene when FP carries Jughead out of the forest, with that music. I honestly thought that ending was amazing. In the beggining of the show you could see that the actors weren't amazing in some moments, but they got better and in that episode you could actually feel FP's anger and Betty's shock. It was a great episode in my opinion.
