So what ever happened to Earl Guthrum?

I know he converted religions and became king Athelstan of East Anglia. He is mentioned a few times in season 2.

Will we ever see him again? I liked the actor

I have read the series by Bernard Cornwell, and have interacted with cast and crew, I can honestly say the fan base in incredible and global, and the cast members are so connected as are the crew. Check out the facebook fan group TLK-TV. I would honestly like to see Netflix put promotion behind this series and draw it out to complete the entire series. The story is pretty factual with slight deviations for screen, but true to history for the most part. The acting is incredible as is the foresight of the production crew. Hey Netflix if you read through this, we need to have a season 3 premier in Los Angeles and also in the UK...I look forward to connecting with like minded TLK fans.

I recently finished my third rewatch and am now re-listening to the audio books where the series left off, currently at the beginning of The Empty Throne. It got me thinking, if the series continues, who plays older Uhtred? The current actor is great but I am never a fan of aging a younger actor to seem old.

I thought Netflix would be giving this series the treatment it deserves once they took over from the BBC, but they aren't. They're not doing anything to advertise it and most people I know have never even heard of it.

In three years, there have been only two seasons of 8 episodes each of TLK while shows like Vikings and Game of Thrones manage to put out 10 to 20 episodes each and every year to keep their viewers hooked.

They haven't put out a season 3 trailer yet even though they've completed post production work on at least four episodes, and there is no mention of season 3 on any related TLK websites.

What gives I wonder?

Is it books one and two in season one. Books three and four in season two? I am wanting to do a reread but I just finished a rewatch of the first two seasons.
