I believe vechain has said that generated Thor isn't meant to be held long term. I am looking forward to the passive revenue, but will i have to be taxed 30%+ because it's generated fresh every month?

Come on, you all love a bit of CCK chat...

So we don't know too much about NDCode technology yet. But we do know that it's very small, invisible to the eye and can be applied to any material- even curved surfaces or something as thin and flexible as paper.

I wondered if the NDCode 'tag' might actually take the form of a liquid kind of like SmartWater that is painted/dabbed/printed on.

Given that the NDCode tag can only be read by shining a laser at it, could this be 'hazed ink'? And if so, what are the 'old scrolls'? 🤔🤫

Twitter is blowing up that MEW has been hacked.

Sorry for the noob question. I Tried searching couldn't find an answer. Just wondering what's the time frame for Thors release?

Charles Walton awarded patent for RFID

The global RFID market was valued at US$ 12.03 Bn in 2016 and is estimated to reach a market valuation in excess of US$ 47 Bn by 2027 end. The global RFID market is expected to represent incremental opportunity of US$ 30.80 Bn between 2017 and 2027.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Walton_(inventor)

Now, fast forwarding to the beginning of the millenium, Sony and a company called NXP Semiconductors invented the new NFC technology in 2002. This technology was initially inspired by RFID. By 2004, many major cellular telephone companies had committed to the idea of incorporating near field communication and many of those had already begun incorporating it in production.

http://www.nfcnearfieldcommunication.org/history.html

So here we are,

Who holds the patent for NDCode?

In reference to Sunny speaking on the future in 3 years of being apart of something that would be in everyone lives is it safe to say we just witnessed history in supply chain?

How much NDcode tech will cut into RFID market by 3 years time?

https://medium.com/@vechainofficial/vechain-and-inpi-asia-incorporate-nanotech-digital-identity-solutions-within-the-vechainthor-cae293b8a8d3

I have a strong feeling we will be seeing all the IBM's, Sony, Samsung and many more huge brands all deep in this new tech I get it CCK! go VeChainThor Blockchain!

Mentioned by sunny in the telegram group.

About 100 pages long and it’s taking time to proof read as it’s so long and English isn’t his native language. He has been working on it for over 1.5 months.

It will come out end of May or early june before launch of public testing.

Edit: Screen caps of Sunny's messages

Sunny Lu dropped by the Vechain Serious Telegram and was engaging with the community. Here are his thoughts on the community:

Sunny Lu: VeChain’s community is the BEST and I actually feel bad I couldn’t come more

Sunny Lu updates about Mainnet:

Anyway, again, mainnet is well in progress and we have been testing for a while and public testing should be very soon. At this stage, we are focus on mainnet launch with some unique and really innovative features. MPP is just first release and there will be more to come. I guess you guys will love those new features. Honestly; I am pretty exciting about the white paper I have been working on for 1.5 months including those new features. But sorry for my poor English, it still needs more time for wording proof and it’s really long like 100 pages already. The upgraded white paper is actually the right thing to do since there are many new developments since 9/10 months ago. The vision is nothing changed - let Blockchain serve the real world for new values. I will say end of May or early June like when public testing launches.

More on the White Paper:

White paper is just like coding which needs to be iterated all the time. The last version from Chinese was based on what we have done and the ideas from 2015.11-2017.5. Now it has been almost 1 year, and it should be upgraded as well.

And white paper will be continuously upgraded along with VeChain actual development.

White paper supposes to be released before the public testing.

In terms of payment services, since we are receiving more and more enterprise requests, we have been talking to more partners in US, SG, TH and etc.

Sunny Lu updates on BMW:

But what I really can confirm here is we got the official order from BMW like 2 months ago and the work has been progressing well in terms of technical and product development.

Needless to say, things are happening in this project and it is amazing that we all get to be apart of this. Be patient, be vigilant, and enjoy the ride.

Viva La VeChain

I've been trying to find out more about the NDCode technology.

Facts I've gathered so far

  • uses 980nm laser to view identification mark (classified as near-infrared)
  • uses nanotechnology and photonics = field of nanophotonics
  • research, product development, intellectual property is based in Sydney Australia
  • has Singaporean contacts

So what I'm looking for is scientists in Australia interested in nanophotonics (especially near-infrared) and digital identification methods who also have a connection to Singapore.

So far I've found some interesting articles

http://sydney.edu.au/nano/research/flagship-projects/nanoscale-photonic-circuits.shtml

http://www.abc.net.au/science/articles/2013/12/16/3910603.htm?site=science/tricks&topic=latest

https://www.mq.edu.au/research/research-expertise/Research-innovation/nanophotonics-for-health-and-security

https://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/nl0259333

I suspect the technology is based on time coded nanocrystals which respond to near-infrared wavelength laser. Would love to see what others think of this theory...

Since I've entered the crypto space, and it's been some time now, I felt like most of the projects will fail, and that their success was based on hype. The correlation between BTC's price and the whole market trend was almost surreal.

My #1 criteria was that the project I'm investing in has a real world purpose, and will actually be used by people and businesses.

In my opinion, VeChain is exactly that, and I have invested considerable amount of time and money in it since the very beginning. VET is the biggest bag in my portfolio, and the only project I've been totally calm with, holding through this shitstorm without doubting for even a second.

I feel like they have the most meaningful partnerships in this space, and enterprise mass adoption already on the way. They are constantly checking their roadmap boxes, on expected time, which is truly rare. I also think they haven't made a single wrong move, while anyone else has made at least few mistakes, hurting their reputation and credibility.

What I'm wondering is, if there's anyone here who has invested in Amazon or Apple early in the day, what was the feeling like? Could you compare it to VeChain today, or was it different?

It sounds almost too good to be true, especially when comparing to other hyped or overhyped blockchain projects, but my gut tells me this could be one of the leading incoming technologies, and that this is the project where long term means 5-10 years, not half-1 year like most of the cryptos out there.

Anyone here who invested through the dot-com boom, I'd love to hear your input and comparison, try to see a bigger picture on what we might expect.

I wrote a post a while ago on why I think VeChain might be the biggest crypto of 2018, if you'd like to read it.

Hi VeChain, I am a 20 year senior developer and I plan on developing on the VeChain platform. I have been developing in JavaScript for the past 10 years and have been contemplating learning solidity for the dApp I plan to develop.

However from what I can sense, VeChain will have SDKs and tools that may not require solidity development.

Will someone from the VeChain dev team please let me (us) know if there are any benefits to learning solidity or will VeChain have some sort of interface via SDK to use existing dApps and build around these via APIs (i.e. in node.js etc)?

would hate to spend all the time learning solidity if I don't need to...

Thanks for a great future!

When a large company decides to partner with Vechain, or just invests in VET both as an investment and to produce Thor for future use they win not only by using an incredible technology that will enhance their business, reputation and reduce operating costs etc.. but if theyre a well recognized brand itll help to increase the value of VET when the partnership is announced ensuring their initial investment in VET increases in value. There is so much potential upside for every company that becomes a partner... im not surprised theyre having so many enquires.

Not just a win-win Vechain is a win-win-win!
