The 306P has a really low crossover frequency for a 1in dome (1425Hz). Hopefully it doesn't have problems with distortion at high volume levels.
near field monitors are not designed for high volumes, thats what main monitors are for. most near fields sound crap above about 90 db.
This is especially true for me; I don't need high output because I like to strap them directly to my head and wear them like ultimate hipster headphones. I rarely go over 2 on the gain control.
But you can't plug them into a tube amplifier so nobody in the headphone world would buy them.
