I feel like it's such a stupid concept Why would you combine a clothes store next to a jiu jitsu gym

I buy all my rash guards online. This feels like a big sellout to make money off clothes

It's cool and unique. But distasteful

level 2

Isn't making money off clothes the entire goal of a clothes shop?

level 3

exactly, so don't pretend to be a cool hip, yoga, surf bjj all inclusive type of thing when you goal is to sell clothes. It's like massage parlours advertising massages, but of course the men who go there do so to get hand jobs.

level 4

lol it looks like its in a shopping mall. I don't think it's any secret that it is a store that wants to sell things...

It’s not a gym. There’s no classes or instructors. There’s no membership fee. It’s a store that also has a space for people to come together and share a hobby, with no strings attached. It’s not like you can only roll if you buy a shirt. I don’t know how that’s distasteful or stupid.

Going to an outdoor;s equipment store and testing the equipment on the rock climbing wall. This makes sense, you are testing the equipment. But here it's just doesn't make sense to have a rolling mat in a store lol. There is no logic to it, how can you not see that.

level 2

It's not a full fledged BJJ gym with an instructor teaching classes. It's primarily a surf shop/hangout, with comfy couches and a huge TV playing surfing videos or documentaries. A lot of people just come in to sit down and talk story with the owners. The mats are open for people to drill whenever.

level 3

Yeah, but it still makes no sense to have a rolling mat in a store

How can anyone either misunderstand a concept this badly or be stupid enough to derive their logic the way you do, assuming you did not misunderstand it?

Can you elaborate on this? How does this apply to the central point?

You go to a gi shop to buy a gi, but of course you also get to roll in the store. Is that somehow a bad thing? Hope you can clarify.

level 2

Distasteful. Pfff.

level 3

exactly

Aloha homie! Check out some of our vlogs and I think you'll get a better idea of the concept of our store.

I mean this is literally the same concept as a gaming store with tables so people can play games in the store? How is that distasteful?

level 3

Yeah, it's totally different, In game store you get to play to game and see if you like it and wanna buy it. Here you don't get to test the clothes on the mat LOL. It's like massage parlours advertising massages, but of course the men who go there do so to get hand jobs.
It's stupid, no one will go to a store to practice bjj

If you look at some of the comments in this thread, you’ll see that your last statement is incorrect and that a lot of people DO frequent the shop to practice jiu jitsu.
