Just passed CCNA now for CCNP!

Hello All!

I'm new to the group, I recently passed my CCNA and I just purchased OCG + INE Videos to get me on my way studying for CCNP. I am doing this in a group setting with other coworkers and I was trying to figure on a timeline. Is 2 chapters a week too aggressive? The goal is all 3 tests passed in ~9-10Months

Totally doable. Supplement the material with labs, though. Assuming you actively work with the gear and have become accustomed to troubleshooting, TSHOOT should be a breeze after the route and switch. Make a point to also review the white papers for topics you feel that you struggle with.

Personally, I set a goal of 3mo per exam (ended up taking tshoot a week after the route). It's all about time management and how much you REALLY want that cert/pay bump. :)

Edit: Also, gratz on the NA!

good luck! and yes 2 chapters per week might be a tad aggressive but then again, you might be einstein and then you should finish the book overnight.

My goal was 10-12 pages per days. Finish the ocg switch last week. I’ve passed my ccna 2 month ago.

Don’t stop; keep up your momentum. If you’re not married with kids, your timeline is possible.

Uh oh. I am literally at the hospital right now, my wife is giving birth to our second child lol.

We’re in the same boat. Has taken me 1-2 years per NP exam with all I’ve got going on. Good luck my friend, and CONGRATS :)

It's really hard to gauge the timeline. I did one week of study for each exam but that was dedicated and I had a fair bit of experience.

Enjoy the time with your little one, found the eldest was hardest work once the new one rocked up.
