I believe Claude Puel gave him his debut, I remember him kind of joking about it when we boshed Southampton in 16/17

"Eden Hazard and Diego Costa made the difference today.

"I had the privilege to start Hazard at Lille. He has the same quality. He's a fantastic player. At 16, he was the same."

His always been so good at using his body even at this young of an age. It’s definitely one of his best ASSets

I'd prefer we don't do comparisons and just let him grow as a player. I remember Marko Marin and they called him German Messi and I genuinely believed it at the time. The hype maybe hindered his development a bit.

I understand that but he seems to have so much talent! It's so hard to not get excited! He still have a long way to go but he seems really good at such a young age.

Hype doesn't hinder development, hype builds momentum. The only problem is, most idiots will hype a player up simply because the media tells them to, look at Rashford, severely overhyped after producing and showing very little potential and years of zero improvement.

It's also dependent upon a player's commitment, if you have talent then you can easily be a very good player, but most players choose to work at a level and keep it there without working too hard. The difference, for example, between a player like Nani and Ronaldo is that for Ronaldo, football was his life. Ronaldo has worked tirelessly his entire career to keep improving and trying to be the best he can be. Nani had the talent, was fortunate to be gifted with good speed and body type but he just wasn't prepared to work anywhere near as hard and was very delicate, a bit arrogant and he didn't take criticism well and sulked if the manager wasn't nice to him which is why he was never considered anywhere near the calibre of Ronaldo.

Marin was never that good, he was just small and fast and could do a couple little in steps but watching the players he was against, they were just insanely poor quality. Comparatively, the defenders Hazard is against in these clips are physical and actually do press and tackle him pretty hard.

There are so many things Hazard does wonderfully in this video that even top, top players don't do. An example of he keeps the ball away from the defender whilst driving into them, shielding it beautifully without being too scared to get into space guarded by a defender.

I feel Marin had a couple of bad loans. He also came to the wrong club, Chelsea. He was a massive threat, high potential in Germany youth teams. Starter in Borussia Mochengladbach and Werder Bremen. He could have been one of the best young stars Germany has seen, got called to be part of the 2010 World Cup. He just went to the world club, came to a league where physical strength is demanding which he doesn't have, 5'7 very weak. If he stayed there, his name will be up there with Gotze and Reus. We had way too many attackers to help brand our new system and to help Torres who said our attack is slow. He's more effective in the middle as an attacking mid, playmaker than a winger.

The hatchet wound?

Pretty good signs for CHO, Hazard making these guys look like how CHO made Bellerin look in pre season, and Hazard is only playing against other 16 year olds, not an established PL right back.

Let's hope Chelsea don't send Hudson-Odoi out on 10 loans and makes his progress stagnate...

Hazard much better, the only major difference between here and current Hazard is the strength and little bit of technique. Even more impressive when you consider CHO was picked out at a young age and has been brought through one of the best academies in the world with world class coaches available to him and Hazard did it all relatively unaided.

Everything from his positioning to his vision, from his taking players on to his shielding of the ball, so much better.

That pass at :57 shows that he can not only beat players on a step, but he can make THAT pass.

Filthier than the skid mark in my undies.

Well he is a bit shorter...

Is that what you meant?

to be honest, CHO looks better than eden at a similar age. hopefully, he does well
