I worked hard on that soup too...
I guess you can be thankful for the fact that you're not a pile of ash?
Yeah, but muh soup.
Been there dozens of times. Spent like $60 on Sunday Sauce recipe. Took like 2 hours making and frying meatballs. Complete with local Italian sausages and inch and a half thick bone in chops, fresh parsley and oregano with san marzano tomatoes. Getting wasted the whole time. Then is came time to simmer for a few hours and I came to 8 hours later with the whole apartment smelling of fried flesh. My stock pot cremated in spent animal protein. I've done it to frozen pizzas and leftover cuts of meats soooooo many times but this was the saddest episode.
You need an instant pot... Like REALLY need one!
I've got one. I've got it all. But I really liked my Dutch oven. RIP.
Um, OK. Go IP if you are drunk cooking. At least it will kick onto warm not burnt to crispy as fuck!
I should. I spent hours making this shit the day before. Roasted a chicken carcass, boiled it with veggies and seasoning. Cooked rice and more veggies in it. And then when I was drunk I decided to warm it up. And, well, it was warm when I woke up. Warm enough to crack my glass stove top and burn the Lodge brand into it...
unrelated: your username is great. i've heard many mixed up drunk words/names (ie. occifer) but never down trunk.
Sorry for your loss.
how was the soup?
DrunkenCoookery: Just like yo' mama used to beat it.
