This might slow Xbox one sales.

It's like having sex and getting herpes for free.

level 2

The best things in life are *free.

*Microtransactions included.

*Microtransactions insisted.

level 3

The best things in life are freemium

level 2

Came here to say this. Was not disappointed.

level 1

If I actually wanted an Xbox and got this deal, I would probably trade in Star Wars and buy another game.

level 2

Good luck with that. I have a feeling they're abandoning a sinking ship.

You'd have to trade it in somewhere else that isn't trying to clear their inventory of it, though I'm sure that wouldn't be hard and I'm mostly just guessing.

level 3

Well... good thing I won’t ever want an Xbox then

level 4

I'd probably have gotten one if I ever found one for like $100, but now that I've got my PC built, I don't honestly care all that much. Halo has gone downhill, so it doesn't interest me like it did during the Xbox and 360 years. The Fable series is basically done with, too, so nothing worthwhile there.

Just can't think of any exclusives on the system that I would really want to play. I'd be more likely to get a PS4 if I wanted a console at all, mainly for Bloodborne. Even then, I can't think of much else to interest me.

level 5

The only exclusive/semiexclusive titles that I would look forward to playing are Sunset Overdrive and Cuphead but even then I could get Cuphead on a decent PC.

level 6

I checked out Sunset Overdrive, but couldn't figure out if I liked it or not. I think I need to play it to know how I feel.

If I were ever to get Cuphead, it'd be on the Switch, which I do not own yet, either. Now that Super Mario Odyssey is out, I'm feeling more inclined to get one. Plus the Pokemon RPG that's supposed to be in the works and the Shin Megami Tensei game that had a brief announcement sound intriguing.

level 7

I would be thrilled if Cuphead came to switch. If it did, that is definitely the version I would get. Did Microsoft help fund Cuphead? If so it may not get beyond where it’s at now.

level 8

Dunno. I would agree with your assessment mostly, but if Minecraft can make it to the Switch, I don't see why a game like Cuphead couldn't, too.

level 9

I sure hope you’re right because I’m itching to play it.

You dont need a decent pc to run Cuphead. I recently went a month with a substitute PSU (my one had to be replaced under warranty) and did not have enough cables to have my gfx card installed, and it played Cuphead just fine :)

level 2

Burn the game, film it, and post it on Reddit for free karma instead.

level 1

Still will cost you $2100 to win a match.

level 2

$2040

level 3

Oh, well that's a steal then!

I mean, I'd take it just so I can log into Xbox and talk to friends I haven't spoken to since I made the leap to PC.

¯_(ツ)_/¯ ...but I would throw the game in the trash. where it belongs.

level 2

Doesn’t windows have xbox kind of built into it now?

level 3

Only if you have windows 10, many people are still on windows 7 or 8

level 3

It does it’s just frustrating to deal with

level 1

Sooooo now it's literally a freemium game..?

level 2

This "free" stuff is just marketing. You're buying a bundle of Xbox + Game, it's not possible to know from which of them (and in what amount) the $60 discount is given.

I don't think the game is really free, and wouldn't be impressed if all the discount was given on the console only.

level 2

The part that pisses people off is that it's $60 for entry.

level 1

Warehouse New Zealand?

Correct :)

level 3

I keep seeing it on TV for $95, I laugh

level 1

I swear I would refuse the game.

level 1

Stores include a free new release with purchase of a PS4/XB1 all the time, this isn't them just "trying to give it away".

level 2

They give away titles that are expected to tank right away, and Battlefront just happened to have the wrong PR going for them. Expected to be a bad game and negative consumer rep means this will be a bundle item throughout the holidays

level 3

Best Buy has deals once and a while where you can practically get any new release with your console, I got Destiny free on day 1 when I bought an Xbox.

I see it in their flyers all the time.

level 3

Yeah this is the opposite of true. There are bundles with Ass Creed Origins, Battlefront 2 and Cod WW2, unless you think all major releases are expected to tank?

level 1

The real good game is that Lego marvel super heroes 2. Game is fun as hell.

level 1

This is like how they give away free printers with a new computer - the printer isn't worth much, but the ink is outrageously expensive.

level 1

Major titles are bundle with consoles in the weeks following a titles release all the time, it's not just bailing on a sinking ship.

level 1

Ehh... I'll still have to say no.

level 1

What a deal! I might consider buying if they take away the game.

now the F2P model makes sense

level 1

I'd take it for free just to play the single player campaign and then uninstall it.

level 1

If it was free that might make the micro transactions forgivable!

level 1

With the micro transaction model the game is now coming in at the correct price point.

level 1

Mighty Ape are chucking it in with their Xbox One S bundles as well, and shops near me are selling it at a 35-50% off.

level 1

Buy it and just return the game making the Xbox cheaper lol

level 1

Like I said yesterday, they trying to raise up the number of sales so they can show it to investors. For what I read, they're expecting to sell 14 millions.

level 1

If it were free I would certainly take it
