Does anyone remember, third age? (I think thats what it was called). It was turn based like final fantasy. I enjoyed it. But I couldnt figure out how to get through. No breaks from battles to find items or somehow recover characters health I remember.

[–]title9survivor 70 points71 points  (7 children)

Yeah! That’s a fun one. I still don’t know how it was supposed to end because I got to the eye and it would always reset me every time. Had to do the revive spell with the elf every time it was her turn.

[–]Fangorn_Stark 81 points82 points  (5 children)

Idrial was her name, some respek is required.

[–]True_Dovakin 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Respek everything besides that water horse animation, took only bout five years to cast

[–]Beastage 27 points28 points  (3 children)

Idrial was OP once you got the preemptive revive spells and the polished water elf stone that made her water attacks insta kills.

[–]AthenaSharrow 13 points14 points  (2 children)

I don't think I knew about that last bit, but yes, buffs in that game were OP. I seem to remember having one character who essentially did nothing but put shields and preemptive revive spells on the entire party.

Actually made the game super boring.

[–]ThomasHL 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's Idrial. She can cast auto-revive on herself which upon reviving restores her mana and immediately allows her to cast two spells - including the auto-revive again.

You literally can't lose with her of you choose

[–]connorz18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Berethor was the buff God. He was great at setting up the whole team

[–]Julius_Siezures 43 points44 points  (2 children)

I asked my parents to buy that by mistake after playing the game in the OP's picture thinking it was the same game. I still loved it. I loved the mode where one you beat a level you could play it again but from the enemy's point of view, I remember many a session of doing that mode to play as the Balrog and just fuck shit up. I also remember never using a single item until I fought sauron because I was one of those kids where every item was part of the too good to use syndrome, when I got to sauron I blew every single item I had and absolutely face rolled him. Good times, good times.

[–]CaptainTrips1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Great game. It was called evil mode or something right? Was a lot of fun playing as some of the tougher creatures and getting extra goodies for the main campaign.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Completing evil mode gave you ancient items usually jewelry I think. I remember me and my little brother played our older brother's save so we could use the new items on our first co-op game.

[–]CaptainTrips1 17 points18 points  (2 children)

I beat third age multiple times. Oddly enough it was the only video game my sister ever played on console. I don't recall it being particularly difficult besides some points later in the game, particularly Rohan.

[–]dibs234 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Man trying to power level those last two characters was so hard after you'd spent ages getting the first four up.

[–]CaptainTrips1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah you get them so late. The Rohan lady was so hard to level in that area because she would die instantly. Never used her because of that.

[–]msaik 7 points8 points  (4 children)

With Idrial (the elf), you rush her spell craft until you get an ability that lets you cast a spell on your own team. It will revive the character automatically when they die with full hp and full ap. It also becomes that character's turn after they're revived.

You can cast this in Idrial herself making her invincible. She can also revive other players so you really never lose.

I still have the game and replay it every couple of years.

[–]josearcanjof 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was THE strat for that game.

[–]Cheesedoodlerrrr 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yup. If its cast on Idrial herself it gives her full Mana, immediately makes it her turn, and allows her to cast TWO spells, to include casting auto-receive on herself again.

Once she has that spell it's literally impossible to to lose the game. Exceptionally poor game balance.

[–]msaik 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yeah that's right, once you unlock the double turn thing she can cast two and that way you can't even get caught in a loop where you keep dying repeatedly. Spell one, make herself invincible. Spell two, revive another unit. It then becomes their turn and they can attack.

[–]Flumbooze 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really wish they'd make a new Third Age style game.

[–]CMDR_Gungoose 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I came here to say this.I loved the Third Age. IIRC the main character was Belethor.Had a ton of fun playing that game. Especially helping Gandalf fight the Balrog

[–]kaetror 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I loved it. I was grinding the shit out of that game when I was younger to get all the high level abilities.

Then my brother threw a tantrum and wiped the memory card... yeah couldn’t face going back to the beginning.

[–]Lucimon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember the elf mage chick that got an item that boosted her spell damage by a percentage, once you beat the game once. She ended up AoE one-shotting every encounter outside of bosses.

[–]Ricken_T 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had the BEST time with this game. Played it as a kid but got stuck on the six-goblin battle in Moria where you’re completely surrounded. Revisited it a few years back with my freshman year roommate and we had a fucking BLAST. One of my fondest gaming memories, and a truly fun game!

[–]barcht 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gameplay was great but I never truly understood the story. Also it was really easy!

[–]bindingofandrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Game is god tier, but got really easy once you got past Helm's Deep.

[–]ascii42 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yeah, the gameplay was essentially the same as Final Fantasy X.

[–]Cheesedoodlerrrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always wondered about this, as I was a pretty big FFX fan in the day. Did the two studios have any crossover? Was it an authorized adaptation or something?

Third age is quite literally FFX with a coat of LoTR slapped over it.

[–]Jaesch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that was the one I had on my PSP when those were just taking off. Good game!

[–]lolklolk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesssss. I've replayed that so many times. Best fun IMHO. Hell of a grind if you wanted OP skills but fun.

[–]jc3833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

had a copy on the Xbox briefly recently, dont have it now though

[–]SecretusAccountus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't get past the balrog. :(

[–]WilliamWaters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was stuck at the Balrog for the longest time. My current set up wasnt able to beat him no matter what I did. Still never beat him

[–]Connrar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ThT was the only turn based game I got into! I remember Moria so well. And so desperately hoping to catch up to The Fellowship

[–]Healing_touch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fiancé and I are playing it on GameCube right now!!! Holy nostalgia Batman.

[–]Josiah55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I was playing this a few weeks ago, still holds up.

[–]TacoTuesdayGaming 1 point2 points  (1 child)

third age was amazing. I want a HD remaster of that game

[–]Medveitsi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try emulators

[–]Omaren_The_Fearless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite LOTR game. I bought a new, unopened copy last year for my Gamecube. It holds up surprisingly well! The spell animations are all awesome.

[–]Shad0wF0x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like they didn't even bother to change from the layout of FFX

[–]I3ass 272 points273 points  (15 children)

Who remembers running the gates of gondor mission over and over again to level up? So much fun

[–]Slipsonic 85 points86 points  (1 child)

Yep. Favorite level.

"Up here, quickly! We must climb the rubble, quickly! We need to reach the gatehouse!"

[–]unseenforehead 17 points18 points  (0 children)

ahhh holy shit! i can still hear it!

[–]habeeb51 67 points68 points  (8 children)

You could literally kill the entire army. Eventually they just stopped appearing....

[–]Persia029 28 points29 points  (4 children)

I literally replayed this level with all characters just to get them to level 20.

I also made sure to have only perfect kills. There was a combo that got you to perfect instantly. Like parry-kill or smth

[–]theguyfromerath 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just stand between 4-5 enemies only parrying and you’ll get perfect in a few seconds.

[–]bowlofspider-webs 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Uruk’s bane, orc’s bane, goblin’s bane

[–]Persia029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah those! Awesome times

[–]habeeb51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. Lol

[–]GlowInTheDarkNinjas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nah, pelenor fields was the way to go for easy leveling, especially for someone with magic/a bow.

[–]RoboTron-a-Matic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Me and my brother would compete to kill the most. The most frantic/intense mission ever.

[–]bronzebeardd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of sad that I was never able to finish that mission. In my head my 12 year old self played like John Wick but my brothers always remind me that I was really bad at it

[–]cbagainststupidity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was playing the orc tower to level and rushed trough it using all the trap for massive perfect combo in a short amount of time. Pretty good for leveling those useless hobbit.

[–]beastcore13 158 points159 points  (9 children)

I played those games sooo much. So much nostalgia. The new open world LOTR style games are okay, but.. sometimes I just wanna smack a fool with gandalfs staff

[–]Sparrowsabre7 10 points11 points  (4 children)

Yeah they're fine if you want to be a ranger but where are the wizardy LOTR games? Much rather play a Gandalf spin off than the fanfic ridiculousness of the Shadow series. Don't get me wrong I love the gameplay but the story is hot garbage. The nemesis system is where it's at.

[–]IAMG222 9 points10 points  (2 children)

The one after this with the turn based battles killed my enthusiasm for the series.

[–]NightHawkRambo 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Third Age was pretty decent.

[–]untakenu 404 points405 points  (16 children)

Surprisingly, this is one of the games that IS as good you remember.

[–]makeshift98 51 points52 points  (7 children)

My friend and I played the game before we saw the movie. It kind of pissed me off that we had to slog through a fucking cave for an hour fighting off ghosts while in the movie they just fucking walk 20 feet.

[–]Lord_Trivinity 18 points19 points  (3 children)

It was the only game I played with my dad

[–]I_RARELY_RAPE_PEOPLE 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Shit, same here! My dad loved LOTR and was NOT a game player at all. Like, anything.

But he sat down with me seeing me love that shit, and played Gates of Gondor with me. Guy just mashed attack and moved the stick, and did just fine lol

[–]Lord_Trivinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! Smashed X (PS2) as Aragon only

[–]untakenu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the only game I played with my brother, too.

[–]NabsterHax 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Ah, I really felt fighting the ghosts wasn't the best start for the Aragorn ("Path of the King"?) path. They didn't provide the same meaty feedback as cutting up an orc or two.

Best level was the one with the gate where you could fight orcs for ages as they just kept coming. Which, actually, I always remember was odd because I'm pretty sure that never happens in the movie.

Oh, also the "post-game" challenge levels were sweet as well. IIRC it was just something like 20 waves of enemies to survive through. Good times.

[–]Tr0nCatKTA 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Was that the level you has to protect the people and get them inside the gate for like 20 waves? That level was a nightmare.

[–]normalityisoverrated 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah he is talking about the one where you’ve got to fire the catapaults and get on the gate to open it.

[–]RedRageXXI 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It was good - I think I played two towers but these were both pretty damn good.

[–]DapperDanManCan 21 points22 points  (3 children)

Ive never played it. If i did pick it up one day in the future, would I enjoy it as much as the people with nostalgic memories?

Side note: I don't mind old games. Gog.com is one of my go-to sites for older pc games. I just replayed the original Homeworld, and it's still really good.

[–]TheHunterTheory 85 points86 points  (0 children)

You won't have as much fun as my brother and I had sitting on the carpet eating cereal, laughing at the fact that the final level is called The Crack of Doom and making fart noises.

However. If you grab a friend along for the ride today, you may just find yourself enjoying a tight and accessible action game set in some iconic set pieces. The friend is not mandatory, but 100% preferred. I give it a recommendation.

[–]kaetror 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s a brilliant game - graphics are pish by today’s standards but it’s still fun. Every time you played it you found a new favourite level

My favourite bit was a survival mode you unlocked after completing the game. Either try and see how long you could last as a particular character, or put the cheats on and feel like a total badass slaughtering everything as a hobbit.

[–]Limitedcomments 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and a few friends picked it up last summer to replay. Was just as fun!

[–]Skabonious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it Really though?I mean I played with my friend on his GameCube a couple months ago and it wasn't bad but the damn skeleton level is horrible, no camera view changing and you can't see shit.

We didn't have the patience to get to the memorable levels from my childhood

[–]LordMugsy 688 points689 points  (46 children)

Top fucking game. This would be a fantastic remake on our new gen games

[–]WhiskeyJack111 316 points317 points  (40 children)

Na they would just butcher it. Better to live with fun memories

[–]Randooly 44 points45 points  (30 children)

How would it be butchered? Most remakes are purely graphical updates

[–]exoscoriae 54 points55 points  (3 children)

Each character is dlc.

[–]relamaler 11 points12 points  (0 children)

But, you mean, you won’t feel any sense of accomplishment with those characters?

[–]Dikai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And you better pay for your additional save slots!

[–]Ralathar44 27 points28 points  (5 children)

Look at Modern Warfare Remastered. Originally only able to be purchased as a bundle deal with another game, it got lootboxes and microtransactions, and then you had to pay for really old DLC.

So yeah, things like this have been royally fucked before. Keep in mind that the game industry has successfully rereleased TETRIS with microtransactions, a low frame rate, and crashing. Do not underestimate their fuckery.

[–]smclin88 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Jokes on them. I only bought it for the campaign.

[–]jc3833 2 points3 points  (1 child)

how the fuck do you manage to release Tetris with all this crap? Microtransactions, I can see, given the nature of today's casual (Read: mobile) gamers, but how do they manage that AND these problems?

[–]Ralathar44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Greed :(.

[–]Snapop23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've decided to remove story mode and replace it with multiplayer.

We've decided to change the perspective from third to first.

We've decided to remove magic and swords and replace them with more realistic and modern weaponry such as guns.

We've decided to get rid of all the races other than Humans, and update the maps to more realistic looking settings.

[–]Thaelite1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s called a re-master (where they update textures), a remake is where they start from scratch with moderately the same end goal

[–]Travesty9090 2 points3 points  (4 children)

I mean... it's not like a remake will extract and destroy your memories. You'll still have them even if a remake sucked. And it might be good.

[–]Tsobaphomet 10 points11 points  (0 children)

100% chance that you would have to pay for loot boxes to unlock characters

[–]gilbeythebeast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No it won't. It'll be made into an MTX whore like everything else EA makes

[–]Bolts_and_Nuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it on PS2, but the console is broken. Last year I emulated it on PC and played through it with a friend. Still amazing game. No need for a remake, graphics don't matter in this one.

[–]francis24k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would, but it is EA, so they’ll find a way to fuck it up with some paywall.

[–]MaxKasch 118 points119 points  (26 children)

This and Xmen Origins Wolverine were hidden gems in a sea of shitty movie games

[–]tommytomtommctom 110 points111 points  (10 children)

IMMA LET YOU FINISH BUT Spider-Man 2 is the greatest old movie game of all time...

[–]CalTCOD 16 points17 points  (4 children)

Harry Potter and the Chamber or Secrets, Order of the Phoenix and LOTR Return of The King were the shit

[–]Korrathelastavatar 8 points9 points  (1 child)

I loved the narrator in that

[–]Sparrowsabre7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bruce Campbell? So sarcastic.

[–]whackadoo47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Warriors disrespect in this thread is real

[–]Throwaway329271 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Jesus that game, i played waay too much of it for how fucking bad i was at it.

[–]title9survivor 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Force unleashed kinda played like wolverine also! Recently replayed the 2nd one. Fun gameplay, bad story.

[–]SansGray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And insanely short. Finished the whole game in like, 3 hours tops

[–]MaxKasch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tearing people apart with Wolverines claws was way too satisfying

[–]Dejected-Angel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Also the Spongebob Squarepants Movie Game

[–]jc3833 6 points7 points  (1 child)

dont forget the Riddick games, Vin Diesel himself opened a game studio just to oversee the production of a not-shit Riddick game

[–]IAMG222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhh shit I remember that game! I got almost all the skins and my little brother soon after overwrought my save file. I cried

[–]Topherkief 2 points3 points  (5 children)

I would like the add The Matrix video game to that list. Had it on GameCube and I remember it being awesome.

[–]RedRageXXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recall that being pretty awesome although I did not finish it.

[–]CrispyyCreamm 71 points72 points  (10 children)

This game was hard as shit

[–]drummer1059 26 points27 points  (8 children)

I never beat Helms Deep in two towers :(

[–]Wes___Mantooth 42 points43 points  (3 children)

The part where you have to hold that door is hard as fuck.

[–]Sly142857 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's all Bran's fault.

[–]WittyDestinyUsername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely agree, that part is absolute nails. Always gave me trouble!

[–]Refinedkaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original Hold the door But yea for real fuck that mission

[–]CrispyyCreamm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s the one I never beat it myself lol i remember raging on that part every time

[–]theguyfromerath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appearantly it was when we were kids, at least for me. I recently downloaded and only 1 or 2 missions were a little hard ( i died a few times, it’s all) and could finish the game like 8 hours after i installed.

[–]UncleFoster 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Very well done game. I had it on GameCube

[–]TopOfTheWhirled 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Time spent playing this game was never “lost”

[–]tm00110 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Freaking level 20 Legolas with that triple white light arrow attack.

[–]NevCee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP af!

[–]xerxerxex 25 points26 points  (3 children)

Man Gimli was such a chore to play. Aragorn was the tits though.

[–]ThomasHL 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Complete the game with Aragorn unlocking the ability to replay levels for experience so you can level Legolas to his kill-everything arrows.

And then there's Gimli

[–]maniek1188 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I loved playing Gimli in palantir challenges. He was not OP like Legolas or Gandalf was, but he was fun to play (in my opinion).

[–]xerxerxex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh he was enjoyable to play as but some parts were frustrating.

[–]greytide_worldwide 25 points26 points  (3 children)

Where's the love for LOTR conquest?

[–]Wasting_L1ght 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Don't forget BFME

[–]darkmuds 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't worry buddy, I got ya

[–]Sonicon2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never knew about that game until maybe 7 or 8 years ago. My friend had a big party and we had a star wars battlefront tournament. Then after that, he whipped out LOTR conquest and my mind was blown that they made it. Such an awesome game.

[–]Perfect_Fry 17 points18 points  (2 children)

Co-op with my big bro was amazing

[–]SpawnOfJohnD 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Same! This and the star wars battlefront games are easily my favorite memories with my brother growing up.

[–]sharry2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! And also that solo challenge in pepsi man and crash

[–]mapleglazedcanadian 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Oh fuck yea dude

[–]Pacster14 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Playing as Faramir was my personal highlight, he was pretty over-powered though. I also liked the South Gate of Pelennor fields mission where you'd pour the oil on the reinforcing orcs as well as pick up and throw spears at them.

[–]ThomasHL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the one I always replay on coop with a friend and we compete to get the most perfects.

[–]cpirani 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Jesus I thought me and my home boys were the only ones that ever played this, how does everyone on this sub love it?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost everyone I know owned this game. Wild times.

[–]wolflikehowl 10 points11 points  (3 children)

I remember throwing on unlimited ammo and max damage cheats for Legolas and just running train through some of the levels. Just an absolute blast, and even better in co-op.

[–]Datkif 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Shame cheats are not in modern games. There is so much fun to be had with cheats when you just feel like messing around

[–]TwitchOhSoReclusive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They need to make remastered versions of all 3 of these games!!

[–]Cobrakye6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it was the level that you had to kill a troll right in front of the gate that took me forever. Love this game

[–]uatuba 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I honestly liked the two towers game more than this one

[–]ThomasHL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Two towers was more visceral, but this one had co-op

[–]sinetybrit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remember this game being so hard!

[–]unholymanserpent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last night I realized I could connect my ps4 controller to my laptop and run a ps2 emulator and play my entire childhood again. Cant wait for this game to finish downloading

[–]ShadowXJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did anyone else find this game impossibly hard like I did? 😅

[–]theliyonkang 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Haha yes old game give upvotes

[–]StaplerLivesMatter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh hey, I haven't thought of this game since it was posted yesterday.

[–]TheDevilsAdvokaat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got to play it with my kids. Tremendous fun was had until we got to near the end and there's an infamous bug that traps you and in addition it was never patched.

Still a fun game though.

[–]ajose001 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Anyone know any games that have similar play? God damn love this game.

[–]rensch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great game. The Two Towers, which is based on the first two films, is great as well.

[–]Smuncherr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did anyone else play The Hobbit on Gamecube? That was my jam when I was 6.

[–]jc3833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That still only counts as one!

[–]johnjohn1913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was always so scared when the boss spider jumped at me.

[–]Quintilllius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So hard =(. Never could get past the boss at Helmsdeep.

[–]Inimene3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was JUST POSTED LIKE 2 WEEKS AGO

[–]Needawhisper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loved how great the gameplay was but every different character was exciting, challenging and fun!

[–]Pooptruck5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a good game but it got pretty difficult toward the end. Or I just sucked. Plus I loved all the characters you got to pick from.

[–]Jeddor3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please remake this.

[–]MikeInYtown 2 points3 points  (1 child)

My friend and I spent countless hours of our childhood playing this game. We would just try and kill as many as orcs as possible and skip over the objectives (the ones that we could). Such great memories.

[–]jaythaprxphet 2 points3 points  (2 children)

When I was a kid, we weren't allowed to play video games on a school day. I remember waking up early before school and waiting for my dad to take my mom to work. I would take the kitchen timer and set it to exactly 34 min every morning, sneak out the GameCube, and play co op with my little brother until the timer went off and we stuffed everything under the bed and pretended to sleep before our dad would wake us up for school. I miss those days.

[–]SpawnOfJohnD 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Our parents hid our Xbox in a shoe box under the spare bed. They didn't think we knew where it was. The first time they went away over night without us, we played all night long and didn't do the chore list they left us. They came home the next day at like 2 pm and I was still sleeping. Mistakes were made.

[–]CinnamonFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By your parents, not you!

[–]scorenson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dropping the bridge on my friends was a classic past time

[–]Mothballed523 4 points5 points  (3 children)

It's one of those weird games that somehow managed to be incredibly fun despite being kinda shitty in retrospect

[–]jarlaxle46 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Maybe it's on psnow for PC gamers

[–]jarlaxle46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't find it in the list.

[–]BarteY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's on PC for PC gamers, although you can't (legally) get it easily. I still have my old CD somewhere.

[–]RaccoonRazor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have many great memories of this game

[–]ArcherChase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would love to have this mixed with my favorite Shadow of Mordor/War games. I still have this one on Xbox. Will play it sooner or later once I get my retro system set up all running.

[–]berreth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit yes a large portion of us loved this game, ik I did, but the circle jerk about it in Reddit recently has been abysmal

[–]Michael97035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always too nice to play as Legolas because my friend always wanted him.

Think this was the last game I ever had to "defeat". Took a night long session with two friends but I finally beat that trial tower on super hard or whatever. Why don't we have DL content like that nowadays if it is so common? You don't even see challenges or different play modes nowadays.

Frick. I never got this but as a kid my parents surprised me with Two Towers and Legaia 2. Two games I never asked for but I played over and over again.

Do you guys remember the Fellowship of the Ring game? Was it as good as I remember? I was a kid, reading the Tolkien book and it totally hooked me up to his universe.

Two towers was more fun tbh, the animations were so much more fluid.
