AMAs are allowed on the subreddit, as long as they meet the following criteria.

1. The AMA must be from someone currently or previously employed in the gaming industry.

Meaning, Game developers, Writers, Designers, Voice actors, as well as those with prominent roles in relevant gaming related companies.

AMA's based solely upon having a youtube or twitch channel are not allowed, regardless of their popularity.

2. The AMA must be about something you have already done, not something you plan to do.

You can't do an AMA about being in school to become a game designer, you have to already be a game designer.

You can't do an AMA about a game that isn't completed yet.

3. Asking for money or crowd funding is not allowed.

Please do not do an AMA for the sole purpose of asking for money.

Please do not link to your kickstarter, indiegogo, or steam greenlight page.

4. Public proof is required for all AMAs.

AMA's without any proof, or without adequate proof will be removed.

It is highly recommended that you contact the moderators first about your desire to do an AMA so we can iron out any issues that may arise, such as not having adequate proof.

The easiest way to provide proof would be linking to a tweet from a verified company or personal twitter account stating you are doing an AMA.

Linking to a post from a verified facebook account would work as well.

If there are public pictures of you available on the internet, then taking a picture of yourself holding a piece of paper with your username, the current date, and AMA written on it could also work.

If none of these options work for you please contact the moderators and we will try to work something out.

5. Giveaways and contests are not allowed.

Please do not have giveaways or contests in your AMA.
