For the longest time I was a strong believer in buttering my bread for grilled cheese. Recently, I've been converted to using mayo instead. I've found it give a more even golden brown color, doesn't burn nearly as quickly, and gives more flavor. More recently still, I've taken to mixing strong Irish mustard into my mayo as well. The mustard gives a little kick and enhances the cheesy flavor elevating my grilled cheese sandwiches to a whole new level. Something like a 5:1 ratio mayo to mustard has yielded the best results without overpowering the cheese with mustard flavor. I'm never going back. Try it out and let me know what you think.

See the title. I'm not a fan of tomato soup on it's own but we all know that grilled cheese and tomato soup is God's greatest gift to mankind. The normal cans of Campbell's tomato soup are too big. Are there any smaller size cans out there, the perfect amount for a grilled cheese?
