Just got a Note 8 and in need of a great case. I work as a cable TV installer so often times I throw my phone in my pocket with tools, metal connectors and keys. I have a S7 and had good luck on my first case (lifeproof) but as the screen protector gets scratched up I needed a new one. Bought a little cheaper of a case and now I have busted the lens glass twice. Anyone here have a recommendation?
I'm looking to get one for my Note 8 but I'm unsure what to buy. I almost got a DJI Osmo Mobile 2 but some reviewers are saying they had to put a counterweight (Moondog sells one for $40) while some say it worked fine without it. Any other gimbals out there you have used on the Note 8? And if you used Mobile 2, did you put a counterweight? Thanks.
I recently dropped my note 8 on the ground and the screen did nto get cracked, only on the LCD started to show black spot i assume its broken pixels. There is a line alos in the middle of the screen, and when i lower the brightness a colors like purple and blue starts to show up vertically. I guess the LCD is broken.
Whats your suggestions? should i fix it for 260 dollars or wait till they relase note 9 and it might get price drop for LCD replacement.
Thank you in advance.
So I wanna connect my elite controller to my phone but it won't work. I have the USB adapter. I'm just wondering if you have to do something to get it to work
Whenever I try and share a photo, whichever app I choose (like if I want to share something through hangouts instead of text) gets set as the default for that file type. And it is a major pain in the ass to go back every time and clear that default. Is there anything I can disable, download etc to give me the option to NOT have it set as a default every time I want to share something?
This is how I've been using android for years, and I never set default apps so it is a major annoyance.
Ok so I was always hesitant to try a Samsung. I was a pretty die-hard iSheep for many years until Apple's greed and lack of commitment to their customers pissed me off big time.
Since I know that the term "lagdroid" was developed primarily for Samsung I had been holding off getting an Android phone and this was part of the reason my first Android was an LG G4...and truth be told it was the BEST phone experience I've ever had. People complain bitterly about the LG UI but I have no idea what they're talking about.
It was VASTLY superior to my iPhones and to this day I prefer the experience to anything else I've ever had. It was FAST and basically completely lag free.
Then it bootlooped just after a year....and bricked....and LG were completely shit towards me so I swore them off for a while, bit the bullet and got an S7 Edge. Overall, I gotta say it's the best phone I've ever had. I've had some lag, but it's not unbearable, and when you consider the sheer amount of features that you get, I'd happily upgrade to the Note 8 if the experience is the same or better.
But the REASON I need a new phone is because of the dreaded pink line that seems alarmingly prevalent in these S7 Edge models. I can't take this shit again. I paid too much for the phone and I think it should last me worry free, given how well I take care of my devices for 3~4 years.
I want to hear what long term not owners have to say. I cant decide whether it's this or the V30 THINQ. Help a guy out pls.
What matters to me is: - the durability of the phone (I hike and fish a lot and this is why I will never not buy a non-waterproof phone) ...which is why I like the V 30 with it's mill cert shock resistance -Usability of the phone....things like the headphone jack and the SD card are also essential. I can live without the headphone jack but not the SD card support -Camera obviously....The LG seems to be a better movie camera and the Note seems superior overall as an all purpose cam -Speed of processing and minimal lag, stuttering and weird shit (you know what I'm talking about)
I'm leaning towards the note as it's got 6MB RAM, has more supported Apps and has a better selfie cam. Would be very disappointed to get another pink line though...that's enough to make me buy the V30.
I've looked all over and I can't figure out how to fix the grainy/pixelated look of videos when I try to text them. When I shoot the video it looks great on my phone but looks awful on recipient's phone. I've tried turning down the setting but still doesn't change the appearance. From what I've read it appears I have to upload to YouTube and then send the link via text. To me that is a ridiculous process to go through when this phone is so expensive. Don't get me wrong I love this phone but this problem is asinine and shouldn't exist. I use textra and Gboard but those aren't the problem. Anyone have any recommendations to fix this problem? It would be very much appreciated. TIA.
My samsung note8 automatically pausing videos I play (fb/youtube) mostly, it even pause multiple times in a single video. Anyone having the same issue and how do you fix it? Bought this last end of december. I was thinking maybe is it because of the screen protector that is not properly applied on it?
