I wanted to see that arm launch it like a paper airplane.

Do the panels not tuck in for re-entry?

The panels are attached to a part of the vehicle called the trunk. Both the panels and trunk are jettisoned before entry and then are discarded. Only the capsule survives reentry.

Does anyone know why they moved it to windward for the first night?

Normally they just go straight out like the other nights.

Where does the fire com out from?

Dragon v1 only has little maneuvering thrusters visible as clusters of oval holes which look like this when they fire.

And the name dragon is officially earned.

I thought they were going to play jingle bells with those things.
