Hi, I'm a newly dinged 110 and I feel a bit disorientated.
All i want to do is be relevant and competitve in PVP. What should i be doing to get pvp gear so i don't get absolutely rekt by other players in BGS and world pvp?
I thought there was some big event happening as of yesterday but i don't feel like anything is happening? Last time befor leigon hit there was big fights happening in Westfall and outside ironforge where we bought big leigon ships and demons.
Whats happening this time and how do i get involved?
How do I level old expac's professions? Right now I want to purchase a recipe from Classic and it requires 250 LW. I don't recall what my LW skill was in Legion but it is 1/100 now. I also have to farm the rep required for this, but do I have to farm LW too?
Why is Sephuz the most used legendary across multiple specs in Antorus, replacing spec specific ones? Is it just the base haste? Most raid bosses are immune to the CC required to proc the extra haste, so why?
I understand using on adds, but on a single target raid boss?
Hello! I've recently picked WoW back up. I've played here and there when legion first came out but only got a Demon Hunter to 110 and a Hunter to 50ish. So recently I came back and picked up Blood Death Knight as I usually like tanking in MMOs and I was really enjoying it. The issue is, I got to a dungeon, Utgarde Keep and cleared it effortlessly on Sunday, then did it again yesterday and had an awful time, which was partially the healers fault but also the last boss was hitting me like a truck.
Now I realize part of the issue was that I didn't know his mechanics as I guess we were just out-dpsing him pre-squish, but I had a lot of issues outside of that. Enemies hit VERY hard, I was using death strike as most as I could and was still dropping low, which the healer themselves took some blame for. I also seemed to have been losing agro a bit more, once I got it back I was fine but it dropped quickly early into pulls. So my question is mostly, does the stat squish effect things like these or did I just have an unlucky time? Also the party members were linking mechanics that the boss did, where can I get access to that info on my own? I would love to study up beforehand.
Is it possible to avoid showing the items each of the 30+ people in a group got and only showing my own loot in chat? Its kinda messed up because my loot is lost in the middle of all that stuff I dont really want to see
the release of bfa raises alot of questions to me. I played wow a little bit during legion and wanted to get startet with a new charakter in bfa. So I am basically new to the game. I hope you can help me with a couple of problems. Thanks in advance.
Do i need to play through legion to be able to play bfa content?
Does the purchase of the bfa addon include the other addons too?
Does it even make sense starting a new charakter with the 110 boost right now? I read that the artefact weapons are going to be removed anyways.
Is the fury warrior a good choice for a new player?
What things should I do before bfa goes live?
Hope some of you can help me :)
Greetings from Germany
What did they add for the pre patch? I'm not sure if I'm just not seeing it or whatever, but I'm kinda confused what is even new right now
Hello, everyone. I’m new to wow and so far I’m liking it but I have many questions. I have tried warrior, paladin and hunter and I’m liking a lot my hunter but I’m totally lost with what gear to wear and what quest to do. Oh btw I’m lvl 21.
Also, should I join a guild ?
Thanks for the help !
I have some questions about MW monk.
What is the proper rotation? Right now what I do is start on one person, get Renewing going on them, Envelop/Vivify as needed, then channel Soothing until Renewing is recharged to that I can move on to the next guy and restart the process. I think this way is all right but I don’t know if it’s correct. I feel like keeping Renewing on a bunch of people is difficult.
What should I do during raids? I feel like I’m better at concentrating on the tanks/melee DPS since they’re typically bunched together with makes it easier for me to keep topped off. If I can stand near the back line and catch them in my passing procs, great, but as it stands I feel like Priests and Druids are better suited at healing the back line/raid as a whole.
What is Revival even for? I’ve yet to encounter a time when it actually does anything. It seems like its healing is mediocre and I guess I’m completely missing the opportunities in which to use it. Problem is I can’t tell when that is.
What legendaries should I be using? Right now I have Insignia of the Army, Doorway to Nowhere, Unison Spaulders, and 1200 Wakening Essence.
i am using a very simple macro in my protection warrior:
/cast Shield Slam
if enemy is in distance i can charge and ss it in the same button. if enemy is too close to charge i can use the button to ss it.
but now its not working anymore, anyone could enlighten me what been changed and how should i change my macro?
This is honestly not meant to be a complaint. I’ve been a casual player before but I took a break years ago and only recently came back.
With professions being split by expansion, what is the purpose of leveling up the skill in old content? The only things I could think of was transmog, pets, and mounts?
I have a ton of alts and I’m starting to wonder if I should even bother with skills before entering the newest expansion zones
So I'm thinking of rolling a healer and need some help. Last time I healed was some tree in WOTLK. Since I've been mostly dps... Is holy/disc priest a good look and would it be easy for me to get back in with those? I miss my paladin but I fear holy paladin it always seemed high stress.
I was wondering if these cities are cross realm. The reason I ask is because BFA encourages pvp and I'm assuming that means raiding cities as well. However, some realms are absolutely desolate on one side and overflowing in the other.
I am trying to wrap my head around, what do I open up with in my rotation that generates holy power? every rotation guide, keeps telling me to start with inquisition. I understand that will be needed down the line. but I cant get any straight answers anywhere. I Am being a big noob. any explanations or rotations ? Thanks in advance
I'm trying to get the Radiant Lightbringer set from the Tomb of Sargeras, and I wanted to know how the resets work. Can I only play the 4 raids once a week for the armor drops? Or can I re-queue the 4 raids and try to get the drops over and over?
Hello, I just started leveling a warlock, and so far I'm loving this game. It's easy to see why this game has been around for so long. I'm nearly level 20, and I definitely want to keep going, however, I don't know if I should just buy 30 days of game time. Or upgrade my account to the complete edition. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I tried to make a Druid Class Trial character, but it says login is restricted on this character. Are class trials only available if you have the latest expansion? I assumed that they would be unlocked since Legion is included in the base game now.
I've been playing this game a little recently, having reached lvl 50 on a shaman, and was thinking on finally using my boost on a lvl 36 paladin I have. Do you guys think is worth it?
I've enjoyed the class a lot while leveling, and compared to other classes I don't think I'll have any kind of trouble while leveling with him. Was thinking on using the boost on something like a mage or a warlock which, supposedly, can be hard to level sometimes. Whats your opinion on this?
Was thinking on using the boost on the shaman too, but I want to experience the whole thing eventually. Also, is it worth it to level to 70 to get the proffesions?
I have never before played WoW and the game is just finishing downloading so I'm wondering which class should I pick. I watched some youtube videos which really didn't make any sense at all and they said that there might be quite a lot of nerfs coming in the future weeks before BFA, so yeah.
I understand talents and stuff changed drastically in 8.0, but now my warlock is getting fucking demolished by basic mobs. Did the stat squish significantly weaken currently level players? I feel like not being able to fight two basic enemies in OG silithus at level 51 should be nearly impossible. Is this a bug as a result of the pre-patch or what?
Am I supposed to solo WQs now, with no group-finding support? Otherwise, what is an efficient way to get into groups? I had zero luck using the custom group finder.
More specifically, I don't understand how to do invasion points now. Every group I joined the instance was already cleared and I can't solo them. I tried the LFG addon and it never found groups.
If the answer is along the lines of "tough luck", I'm quitting. This has doubled to tripled the time taken for dailies. I joined wow late and was grinding argus rep. This is now time-prohibitive and even less fun.
