There are problems with Europe, immigration, etc.

Correction, there are problems with the UK gov enforcing the rules provided by the EU.

So... ETA on that custom CSS for the redesign? by -Ladner- in ProCSS

[–]qtx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right, I'm not. I have a lot of defaults I need to take care of.

So... ETA on that custom CSS for the redesign? by -Ladner- in ProCSS

[–]qtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is because some people (like myself) like to move around a lot of elements, if suddenly they decided to move a default one around and I used an absolute or relative position on that or an element below it, my whole design would go bust.

Either do it right or don't do it all. And they are hopefully waiting until they have a final design and only then give us the option to style it the way we want.

Nah, they'll continue to go on.

This is all part of the new Software Upgrade Offices that LG has set up recently. They've really started to improve updates a lot as seen by the comments on all lg phone subs recently.

Sure, but the redesign is still changing, adding and removing stuff constantly. It would be useless to add css support right now if tomorrow some elements might just disappear.

My guess, and that would make perfect web-dev sense is to add it right at the end when all bugs and features are implemented.

Right now there's still so much more to be done on the redesign that adding css will just lead to more bugs.

British cave diver considering legal action after 'pedo' attack by Elon Musk by DeathHamster1 in unitedkingdom

[–]qtx 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think the vast majority of them are fans because of SpaceX. Travelling to far distant planets is so futuristic and dreamy that a lot them get suckered into it. And anyone that tries to destroy their dream of going into space is a direct threat to them.

British cave diver considering legal action after 'pedo' attack by Elon Musk by GuessImStuckWithThis in worldnews

[–]qtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well be honest, worldnews isn't really the sub for this.

It's perfect for /r/news and falls within their rules. It doesn't for /r/worldnews.

edit: damn, your whole comment/post history is about Musk. You have some serious Musk issues.

Justine Greening calls for second Brexit referendum. BBC 16th July 2018 by SupaZupa in ukpolitics

[–]qtx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You see, for me, that sums up exactly why the country voted to leave in the first place. As a nation, we didn't see ourselves as having enough influence on the political direction of the continent

I suggest you read this thread and you'll understand the UK had all the influence in the world. https://twitter.com/EmporersNewC/status/1016761275295191040

It's just that the media misinformed you and made it look like you hadn't.

What don't you understand about contracts? If you leave while under contract you need to pay restitution for the things you signed up for.

How to Backup Specific iPhone Folders to PC? by WILK23 in photography

[–]qtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google Photos doesn't seem to have that option to backup specific folders.

You can select which folders to backup on the Android version so I'm sure it's possible on the iPhone version as well.

The moment it notices a new folder with pictures I always get a msg asking if I wish to backup that folder as well, so maybe try and make a new folder and move the photos in there to trigger it.

Why use OpenStreetMap instead of Google Maps? by achook in technology

[–]qtx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, Wikipedia is so trustworthy that it's banned from being referenced as a source in academia.

People who say this don't understand how Wikipedia works. You need to source everything. So using the sources that have been used in a Wiki article are perfectly fine to use.
