From what I understand, the airline traffic is disproportionately heavy around 11am to 2pm-ish, since flights from Asia and Europe like to arrive/depart during that time. Apparently buses/stairs had to be used last summer (when there were more flights) for boarding.
Could flights be rescheduled to less busy times instead? Honestly, I have no idea. I'm not an industry expert 🤷
Rescheduling flights affects more than just YVR - the other airport at the origin or destination also has to re-schedule. Which means that they have to change other flights, which means even more airports are affected, and so on and so on...
I'm sure it's possible, but I'm not sure it's practical.
Anyone know if once the 99 stop reopens in its old spot, will the 9 stop move back over in front of A&W too? Or does that stay west of Commercial permanently?
I haven't dropped by a game thread in a while, but I've been watching. Had to come back to say this though.
Oh, this explains a lot. I was trying to book an evo last night around 6pm and it was running really slow. I managed to reserve it eventually, and then it took about 3 minutes for the car to unlock once I got to it.
I stopped carrying my card around recently, but I think I might put it back in my wallet.
I love hearing directors make their calls.
This Super Bowl one is great because it's also counted by song measures.
The difference with that one is that the camera moves and cuts are as choreographed as the performance is. It's still super impressive but it's a different kind of impressive IMO.
Doing the actual live sport is just seat of your pants trying to anticipate what's going to be needed, seeing if you've got the shot somewhere, and taking it before it's too late. It's all gut feeling and instinct, as well as drawing on years of experience to be able to make those decisions almost subconsciously.
I loved how in OP's video they had a camera on Ovi because they absolutely knew that him coming over the boards was the money shot. You hear them saying "frame it up Joe, watch for camera 4, aaand take 4, GOOD!".
God I've missed Ozzyman.
I used eagerly wait for his GOT videos within the hour they were uploaded.
I know.. I know that's sad =D
Why have you missed him? He's still uploading on a fairly regular basis. Just did the female version of the slippery stairs a few days ago.
I'm subscribed to his channel but I generally only click on subjects that interest me.
Usually there will be a few videos on that front page that will get my attention more. Can't watch them all sadly.
Ah yeah fair enough. Watch his royal wedding one too if you want to catch some of the better recent ones (and the male slippery stairs as well). I'd link them but I'm lazy and you already have his channel. ;)
I used to work with the lighting, sound, and pyro equipment at my church and this is how they taught me to coil cables, although they said it helped prolong the life of the cable by reducing stress/twisting on the wires inside the cables. Not sure how true that is, but that's what I was told.
It's true... if you've ever seen an old power cable that's got a permanent but subtle spiral to it even when it's laid out flat, it's usually because it wasn't coiled properly over the course of it's life and the metal inside has slipped and twisted inside the outer sheath.
I walked on a treadmill once does that count
Depends if the treadmill gave you bone spurs...
london drugs does this
Does the decent quality or the shitty quality?
all my experiences have been very good but i am no pro
Cool, yeah that's what I've head too but it wasn't clear cos the post above mentioned both good and bad. Thanks!
It’s not exactly very high up, but Gallery Cafe might fit your needs. Not sure what their policy on outside food is though...
Can global news chick lose that annoying accent already.
God damn foreign workers taking all our news anchor jobs. When will the madness stop! I bet she owns an empty condo too.
Already done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9mc4PsXU5E
I didn't watch that all the way through, but it doesn't look like Tom Scott had anything to do with that at all.
I think he's just saying there's already been a documentary video made about it recently
Yeah, my point was that I suggested it because I'd like to see Tom Scott's take on the story, not because I was looking for general info about it.
Oooooo fuck my blood started to boil for a brief moment there.
You'd damn well better be jk........ lol.
That's a double play only because of how fucking slow Morales is. Anyone else beats that out.
What's their legal argument against this? I'm not sure "I don't like paying taxes" is a very strong case.
One thing I have to watch out now is if my backpack happen to touch the card reader by the back door of the buses, i've had that thing make noises a few time since I keep my credit card and was probably trying to read it, i'll probably end up with charges on there eventually.
Guess that's just one more reason why people should take their backpacks off on the bus. In fact, this seems like a good feature - don't take your backpack off, you risk a $2.85 fine!
The the biggest reason im glad MP has a roof. I live 3.5 hours away, so driving down with the possibility of a game getting rained out would make it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay harder to justify buying tickets.
Yeah, I'm a Jays fan living in Vancouver. Try to make a trip over to Toronto once a year for a weekend of baseball. No way I'd be taking that chance if the game wasn't guaranteed (rogue chunks of falling ice notwithstanding).
First time I've really watched McDavid closely and wow this guy is an absolute stud
Yeah he really came out of nowhere. Hopefully he gets a little more media coverage and exposure soon. /s
It used to be brilliant when it was just Gav and Dan in their backyard. YouTube have managed to take something organic and turn it into a factory produced bore fest.
You missed the most recent one then. That’s over now and they’re back in their yard on their own again. So if you unsubscribed, you should get back on board.
There's not much worse than getting scored on while you're slow chanting the other team's goalie.
What if you spilled your beer at the same time
Spill your beer all over your phone and pants (crotch area).
I missed Game 1 and just tuned in to this now. Are they serious that CBC has Paul Romanuk doing play by play? He's their fucking number 2 guy?
Holy shit. What the actual fuck?
Morales is like the guy who shows up late to a keg party when everyone is having a good time, and breaks the tap.
He's the guy who is supposed to bring the keg to the keg party, and never shows up.
And everyone's already paid him for the keg.
Tonights forecast... it's going to rain goals. Strap in motherfuckers.
I appreciate the ref giving us the heads up of what's going on - they should do that - but they have to stream line this.
Maybe choose your words a little better though. Don't say "good goal" unless that's the final result, LOL.
I'm going to sound like your Mom here, but you shouldn't be carrying your SIN around with you. They specifically say that you should not do that. https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/programs/sin/protect.html
That said, go back to the Pint and ask if anyone handed it in. Going there in person is better than calling, because it's too easy for someone to dismiss you over the phone and say they'll have a look then totally forget to look.
Also check with your bank, because if it's been handed in somewhere they will probably look at your banking cards as a way to get in contact with you.
Art gallery really needs a new acronym.
