xD

A friend of mine and me joined a lfg 6 stack.

Rank: 3700 Comp: Me (on widow) Mei Symetra Reinhardt Roadhog Mercy

We won 4 comp matches in a row and lost 0. We absolutely stomped the enemy 6 stacks and always full held them and we pushed all the way through. The comp was great and everybody was executing calls perfectly.

Pls don’t buy a Mac it’s the biggest scam in history. And I came from a Mac Pro, one of the most expensive macs ever to be sold

Why so?

The performance is a joke

Honestly no offense to anyone that has already answered but the correct answer is that we don't know. While it appears the enclosure is bad for the design there are some changes that people have made suggesting a software/bios fix could solve the problem.

Down volting would not help very much, a aggressive fan curves just makes it throttle less and won’t stop it from throttling.

Are you stupid?

You are using it wrong...

Taking Winston as an example, if she is set up on high ground and Winston jumps on her she can jump off. If Winston follows her she grapples up if Winston stays at her old perch then she can grapple to a new one. With the current cool down Winston’s leap and the grapple have the same cooldown, so on some maps she can reposition literally every time she gets jumped. Dva has the the same problem, Tracer can’t usually reach her perches. You can’t force her to move without diving her and you don’t have jump/thrusters to catch her once you jump one her, it’s VERY easy for her to outplay those dives. All this is why currently it’s mainly the other Widowmaker who is responsible for killer her.

I was saying you should only dive her if her hook is on cooldown so she can’t change spots that easily. If a dva and Winston dive her she is dead 100%, that’s absolutely fair because it take coordination and not only a auto aiming Winston to press shift. Overwatch should exactly play like this. If people can’t deal with a character they should counter her and if they can’t do that it’s fair that the better players win. I want this game to be pro skill and not anti skill.

I just pointed out the reason theyre likely making this change. I don’t want to argue. And if anything it’s just going to make widow think about when to use it more and need slightly more help from her team. I see you’re upset about this but I doubt tweaking cooldowns is going to completely ruin the game.

You know that the grapple is used for the most difficult trickshot in this game? So they are basically taking skill out of this game

If your source is one YouTube video where a Vlogger using Premiere Pro 'proves' the i9 is slower, I'm not calling that a source. I don't use Premiere to edit video. I use Final Cut Pro. I see no reason to give credence to that guy's BS until it's a widespread proven fact. I do run my MacBook Pro on an elevated dock where lots of wind passes underneath and work off a 5K display but not in clamshell mode. the MBP screen is usually Twitter and RSS.

We'll see how this all plays out. Right now, Mac users are only feeding the Android and Windows trolls. If you need the fastest Mac, don't buy yet and wait to see how this plays out. If you aren't actively shopping for a new MacBook Pro, I don't see the point of piling on as "apple is screwed" narrative that pops up every time this happens.

Hahaha wtf you dumbass he’s not a vlogger btw. It will still throttle even if you don’t use premier pro. More then 30% cpu load and boom

While it won‘t reach its peak benchmark scores anymore when throttled, it will still blow the processor of the MBP that OP currently has out of the water. It‘s not exactly a downgrade, just not as much of an upgrade as was promised (under load, that is).

The performance is still a joke

With some op hardware I can’t reach 300 fps conistant even though my gpus are chillin on 20% and the cpu about 40%-30%. So i think yes we need an high framerate performance patch.

Is 300 FPS really needed? I cap it on 103FPS because of the loud fans I have.

I have like a 300 fps passion...

Congrats! I think the Mac Mini is the prettiest computer ever made 😄

And one of the slowest for its price ;D

Im a Master widow main with a 76% winrate would love to reach t500 soon aswell

But hes still fucking great

Like every other master

Im a master and I understand what you are saying as that helped me to climb aswell. However on pc you need good equipment to be able to perform good on heroes like widow (my main), for example I got a new pc and climbed one rank in the first 2 days.

I got placed 300 sr higher. I take masters yoink

Pretty much every modern coffe lake mobile cpu in a portable (mac or windows) laptop will thermal throttle, but because we’re talking about Apple everyone wants to get their karma/views/clicks by bashing hard on them. I would argue that not everyone will be affected by thermal throttling as this only happens when the cpu is fully utilised for long tasks. For example I use a MacBook Pro for audio production, here the cpu is not used at 100% all the time, but rather in short bursts. People who need short bursts of cpu power will benefit greatly from the new cpu’s. people who render long videos will also gain performance, but a little bit less because the cpu clock will lower slightly after a sustained workload.

A windows laptop throttles by about 0.2 ghz and a mac "pro" by about 4.0 ghz. That’s why everyone is talking about it!

You don’t know the difference between down clocking to save power and thermal throttling. Mobile coffee lake cpu will down clock to 800Mhz to save power when it can. This has absolutely nothing to do with thermals and is done to save battery life.

In another comment section the OP told me that he was running at 800mhz

Every CPU made in the last two decades will throttle itself when faced with extreme temperatures. It will also throttle its clock when expecting to do some rather heavy math. Here's an example - if your software tells to your Intel CPU that it wants to execute the new AVX simd instructions the CPU will lower the clock on its own, by up to 25%! It will also switch the whole cores off, if not told otherwise, when not in use. Easy anwers don't exist anymore - wait for real-world tests of the workflows that interest you and make your own conclusions(1)

(1) Unless Apple really, really fucked up. Which they wouldn't tell us anyway, unless they are threatened with a class action, which I'm expecting lawyers to be drawing up as we speak.

My 8700k clocked at 5ghz on all cores actually doesn’t thermal throttle and won’t ramp down its clock speed in a AVX Programms the avx offset is set to 0. what you are posting here is completely wrong and I can tell that you have no clue what you are actually talking about!

Indeed, the core i9 is special because under certain circumstances it will be slower than the i7 due to the extra heath after sustained heavy utilisation. But in most professional workflow situations it will be faster than the i7. Just make sure you don’t stare too long at those advertised turbo clock speeds, they are indeed misleading intel marketing tactics.

Intel is just providing the cpu. Apple can clock it at what ever they want. The 4.8ghz claim may be from intel but it basically says that the cpu can reach that frequency under normal cooling. The fault is not intels but apples as they can’t provide enough cooling for the cpu.

Really really fast, I have had it for a day but I was downloading a lot of things for it so I haven’t used it that much.

Good luck cooling it. Btw every windows laptop costs less then half the price and can actually keep the cpu cool enough so it doesn’t thermal throttle

What DPI , Senstivity and scope sensitivity is this it looks like its like high sens low dpi low scope.

Original Poster2 points · 1 month ago

It is 1600 dpi 3,23 in game sens and scopes sens of 38.

But that doesn’t really matter. I tried to copy sensitivity’s from other players and I wasn’t really good, now I experimented a lot and I feel very good. So try to find you’re own sensitivity.
