Level 2 Ragman sells the LZSh Light Helmet but all 3 of the compatible face shields are locked behind Peacekeeper level 4 currently.
The only option currently is to buy a faceshield off the fence, and 80% of them have bullet holes all over them. They show as full health but have bullet holes in them, so they can't even be repaired, and from the one I managed to actually get damaged enough to repair I noticed the repairing doesn't actually clear up the visibility at all.
It'd be really nice for us lower level players if the visors could be moved down to a lower level.
Completely ignoring the fact that many runescape betting sites are scams, and even the legitimate ones will intentionally delay large payouts in hopes that players get greedy and lose it before they have to pay it out... The odds/expected returns are still much higher at the duel arena.
We'll assume the highest tax bracket to make things look as bad for the duel arena as possible, so we'll do stakes of 100m. The house rake on duel arena stakes will appear to be double the tax brackets, because they're actually taxing your original bet as well as the winnings, so it's being applied twice, for example, a stake of 100m would be taxed 2m when you get the 200m back.
Duel Arena Odds/Expected Value:
Odds of winning the bet: 50%
Outcome of lose: -100m
Outcome of win: +98m
Expected Value = 0.5*(-100m)+0.5*(98m) = -1m
On average you will lose 1m for every 100m bet at the duel arena.
The most common "dicing" was played on a 100 sided die, where any roll over 55 was a win and under 55 and under was a loss. That means there were 45 winning outcomes and 55 losing outcomes.
Odds of winning the bet: 45%
Expected Value = 0.45*(100m)+0.55*(-100m) = -10m
On average you will lose 10m for every 100m bet dicing.
I'm just going off the most popular runescape betting website I could find (not going to name names here) and their poker game takes a 5% rake of each pot.
Odds of winning the bet: 50% (not really true for poker, but lets assume similar skill for the sake of comparing "taxes")
Expected Value = 0.5*(-100m)+0.5*(95m) = -2.5m
On average you will lose 2.5m on a 100m poker bet. This one's obviously not exactly accurate because Poker isn't usually (although it can be) a 1v1 game, with even odds (there's some amount of skill to it). Either way, it should be quite clear that a 5% tax is more than a 2% tax.
TL;DR: Odds at the duel arena are still far better than the odds your going to get elsewhere, and that shouldn't be a surprise... These websites exist to make a profit, not to give you a "fair" place to bet.
