Firstly it's a default sub, secondly if you browse /r/all, this drivel is unavoidable.

I feel GENUINELY ashamed that I didn't notice this when I watched it, it's like smack you in the face obvious.

He won't have the badge, he wasn't part of the community prior to the ban.

This was the only outcome.

Looking for some alternatives to Radmin, preferably free but we're willing to pay for something worth it's weight.

It basically needs to have a function where we can create a list of all available machines to remote into and take full control. All machines are on the same domain.

Thanks for the help!

Cool Ideas. Www.cisp.co.za. Trust me and MyBroadband on this.

Ah yes, so the ISP cycle begins. People boast about how amazing it is, others join, soon the network is overloaded with high contention, people go elsewhere, it gets better again. Repeat...

full on /r/ComedyCemetery material right here.

I'm also interested in speeding up the new user process. I'm a new junior sysadmin at my company and I currently do all of this the old slow way...I open up Active Directory Users and Computers, I create a new user and copy permissions from an existing member in the same department. I then sort out their email backend. I then deploy a fresh copy of Windows 10 if it's a new machine, or create a new domain profile if it's an existing machine.

This type of work takes up the majority of my time and I'm looking to try make it faster/easier.

Interested to see what those of you much smarter and more experienced than myself can offer.

More like Fakealot amirite.

They probably have a normal price of R1,000, then have a discounted price of R900, but claim it's a 65% discount because they suddenly change the "normal price" to R1,384 when that item is part of a daily deal.

Scaly guys.

It's also outright illegal to do this.

That's an amazing find, thanks for sharing. Budget is tight right now so 3 months free is magical.

ITpro.tv looks really interesting but it is a bit on the pricey side. I'll try the 7 days free and see if I can sqeeze my boss for the year subscription if I like it. Thanks.

My personal experience...don't do it. They ended up refunding me my annual sub due to their relentless downtime. It was unbearable.

1 machine is all it takes to have your entire domain burn to the ground. I am sure they are out there but i have yet to find an application i couldnt get to run without admin. Here is a nice tool i was unware of for a very long time. https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/aaron_margosis/2015/06/30/lua-buglight-2-3-with-support-for-windows-8-1-and-windows-10/

So we use CIMS - Cardinal Insurance Management Systems. It requires admin to run. All ~200 odd of our users have local admin rights. I've spoken to my CTO numerous times but he says it's unavoidable. How fucked are we?

Or you could use Universal Adobe Patcher listed in the megathread here to activate and remove it's ability to phone home, takes only an extra minute.

Edit: Thanks for the Reddit gold! If anyone else wants to give me gold, please don't, buy yourself something nice instead or donate to an open source dev :)

Buying me reddit gold goes against the spirit of the sub anyway :P

Absolutely virus-ridden though. If that file were a person I would shoot it and put it out of it's misery.

Holy shit xD

What makes you say it's virus ridden?

Edit: Virustotal says it's clean, they're all false positives, as you can see. One even says "not-a-virus:Crack.Adobe" and most of the others have a variant of "crack" or "keygen".

My forticlient picks it up as a trojan.

I use those reusable grocery bags, they’re perfect.

Oh shit...they do seem perfect. I'll do one cloth pot and one of those on my next grow and see how they compare.

As the title says, I'm willing to pay for proper materials but I don't have massive amounts of loose cash laying around.

What "mid range priced" materials would you recommend for someone with intermediate networking experience that's looking to further their career?

Thanks in advance!

It is indeed too late. The typical ISP lifecycle at play here.

Join new ISP when they're empty/not congested.

Get amazing speeds and few hiccups.

Tell your mates that this ISP is amazing.

Everyone joins, ISP becomes congested, can't deliver the level of service it used to.

People complain and jump ship to the next big thing.

windows 10 is much better in so many ways now. Linux is a good idea but the gui is still shit imo. I've tried linux gui for years and always move back to windows. The linux store is an abomination of technology. Impossible to install stuff and apps always error out when you do finally get one installed. Just my experience but I'm no Linux expert so it's probably the fact that I refuse to study the os. It's should be user friendly enough that I don't have to read a manual or wiki to operate it.

Can't chisel racism into every damn topic dude come on...

Kbps is not the same as KBps, neither is Mbps the same as MBps.

When you get a 8Mbps fibre line what you actually get is a 8192 Kbps line which is roughly 1000KBps which is a 1MBps line.

Remember it this way. A megabyte has its b written in capital such as MB. As megabit is written with a lower-case. There are 8192 kilobits in a megabyte. Alternatively there are 8.192 megabits in a megabyte.

It's not 100% accurate but it will suffice to devide by 8. So a 100Mbps fibre line will net you 12.5 when devided by 8, but in actual fact it's 12.21 when using the correct method.

He's still right though lol, a 4meg line will give at max 500kbps, that's on the high end in fact. My 10meg gives me about 930 down.
