What's your favorite range?

What's a good range that allows shotguns with shot and not just slugs?

Do you know of anywhere local to buy cheap/surplus 7.62x54R?

Favorite depends on what you want to do. My general purpose favorite is High Lakes range down by Afton. 45 bucks for a membership, and it's one of the longest ranges in Iowa at 770 yds. They also allow both shot and slugs on their range. As far as cheap ammo, I buy online. Ammoseek.com is a pricing aggregation site I use.

I would like to point out that neither the post nor the entire parent chain up to here mentioned banning Gallowboob. It was purely about the notion that he fits with the type of group OP chose to personally block/hide. You're "right" ... about something you yourself brought up just now.

As far as the original discussion, though, Gallowboob absolutely qualifies as a serial poster that OP may want to consider for the list. Which, again, is not a ban list.

Can you explain to me how the United States which has been a majority white country for the past almost 400 years no longer being majority white is wrong ? It is absolutely due to immigration rates and there was definitely no vote on this issue.

Population replacement is a tacit form of ethnic cleansing used to in places like Western China to replace the

Uyghers, by Israel to replace the Palestinians, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia, and many parts of Africa and is seen as a crime to eradicate an existing population and replace them with another.

The idea that whites would simply migrate to say Egypt and replace the local population because they "liked it" would be an anathema and condemned - similarly if say Turkey were to do similar to Iceland.

So with whites projected to be a minority in the United States through mass migration within the next two and bit decades - without any representation of the people how is this NOT an issue ? I'm genuinely curious how eradicating an ethnicity is seen as a "fiction" and not an issue when it clearly is.

If you read through the open records request, I believe it becomes pretty clear that elections.kennesaw.edu (the vulnerable server and the one wiped) did not contain any kind of actual election results. It had voter registration data (not voting results) and different instructions and accounts for counties and municipalities to load their voter registration data into their local machines when elections started.

Furthermore, from reading the entire open request records, it is apparently that KSU more than likely still has the data backed up from this server.

If you want exact quotes or page numbers of those relevant sections from the open records request then let me know.

Have you read through the entire open records request information that was linked yet? If not then you should so that you are more well informed on what actually transpired.

did not contain any kind of actual election results.

So where are they then? And you don't think it's relevant to keep the information about voter registration that is directly tied to their voting system? Like, the server at a bare minimum, determining whether someone is allowed to vote or not isn't at all related to the election results? Is that really your argument?

More importantly, that wasn't the only thing on the server and you are either intentionally ignoring it or are woefully ignorant.

https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/06/14/will-the-georgia-special-election-get-hacked-215255

Within the mother lode Lamb found on the center’s website was a database containing registration records for the state’s 6.7 million voters; multiple PDFs with instructions and passwords for election workers to sign in to a central server on Election Day; and software files for the state’s ExpressPoll pollbooks — electronic devices used by pollworkers to verify that a voter is registered before allowing them to cast a ballot. There also appeared to be databases for the so-called GEMS servers. These Global Election Management Systems are used to prepare paper and electronic ballots, tabulate votes and produce summaries of vote totals.

The server, running the vulnerable version of Drupal and fully hackable, contained the freaking databases that produce the summaries of vote totals.. Please tell me again how it is "just voter registration data".

AND PASSWORDS! Freaking passwords for election officials to log in with..

Previous attacks on the voting machines that Georgia uses involves altering the code on the memory card loaded in to them to update the election data prior to voting. Guess what was on that server that was hackable and conveniently wiped? The software to put on the memory cards to update the server. Literally all they'd need to do is attack those files and the election officials would unknowingly do the attackers job for them and upload the code to all the voting machines thinking nothing was wrong.

Page 119 of that FOIA corroborates some of those details being more than just "voter information".

Page 156 confirms existence of ExpressPoll data.

Page 178 even highlights that this vulnerability was known about back in August 2016 and later on shows the original emails from Logan Lamb, yet the vulnerability existed into March of 2017...

Page 24 has a nice email about wanting to divide the upgrade project into two phases. So they hadn't even started on it and were still planning as of July 10th, yet the servers had already gotten wiped.. that's... odd...

Page 28 confirms that the county users (which had passwords exposed) had access to the files on page 26. The most notable file is "Expoll.resources" which is the exact file that attackers would need to alter in order to attack the voting machines. It also confirms that there is some *.gbf file which contains "the ballot contents" used by the GEMS system. So.. ya know.. *vote records...

Page 43 shows that on August 9th 2017, months AFTER both the suit was filed and they received notices to preserve evidence, "the last 2 servers on the AAR were wiped". An earlier email on the same page indicates that the servers were the unicoi server (which was also vulnerable per other emails in the FOIA) and the AD server.

So you are wrong on all counts.. Which I'm surprised since you so carefully read the FOIA documents right?

I guess you are talking about the ExpressPoll Election Day user/pass information? From everything I can gather, this information is supposed to enable them to be able to log in and download (not upload) files they need for election days. See below.

Page 156 confirms existence of ExpressPoll data.

From doing research (Googling PollData.db3 mostly) it looks like the PollData.db3 files contain voter registration information. They are used for creating the voter cards at each precinct and/or voting location.

Page 178 even highlights that this vulnerability was known about back in August 2016 and later on shows the original emails from Logan Lamb, yet the vulnerability existed into March of 2017...

Yes, I read that; that is the part that I talked about where they took Logan Lamb's advice (upgrade Drupal) and installed and patched other things in an attempt to fix everything, unfortunately to no avail.

Page 24 has a nice email about wanting to divide the upgrade project into two phases. So they hadn't even started on it and were still planning as of July 10th, yet the servers had already gotten wiped.. that's... odd...

Yes, from what it reads like, they are splitting up a larger project which the AAR is a part of into two phases: one consisting of surplus, switches and APC's mentioned in the AAR (the server was none of these btw) and the 2nd part consisting of adding environmental and log monitoring. You also say the servers had already gotten wiped; the only one that had been wiped so far was the elections.kennesaw.edu server, which according to their plan from back in April or May wasn't going to get surplused, but was going to be repurposed as a NAS (file server essentially)

Ballot contents, I'm fairly certain at this point, are... the contents of the ballot i.e. who the voters are voting for, positions of those people, etc. Just as the PollData.db3 files contain information about the voters of each county, district, precinct, etc.

Interesting, I didn't realize that timeline yet, after the notices to preserve evidence they still wiped those other two servers. Not really sure what to say about that yet.

So you are wrong on all counts.. Which I'm surprised since you so carefully read the FOIA documents right?

I think that we share the same general feelings on electronic voting (it shouldn't be trusted without paper backups or otherwise), but just disagreeing on details of this story which I feel that I am still getting to the bottom of. I'm very glad that it sounds like they are at least talking about moving Georgia over to paper ballots or electronic with paper ballot backups because each time that I go and vote and hit the finish button and take that card out and turn it in I always wonder... did my vote get recorded accurately? It would at least be nice when you turn it in that they have another machine that you can put your card into that would load up your vote record so that you can confirm it did write correctly to the card.

One thing I am sure that we can agree on is that it is a real shame and pretty huge fuckup by the CES that any of this data was publicly out there to begin with... voter registration records with PII contained in them, all the pdf's with info in them, the db files, etc.

I'm glad we are having this back and forth because I was wanting to look into this more closely.

Edit: As a note, I'm not sure if I will get anywhere doing this, but I think I am going to attempt to follow up with the SOS office about whether or not they still possess the actual voting records (who voted for who, etc) from these elections in question.

I am of the mind that all the data contained on the server we have been talking about was for download only; I cannot fathom that they would use a publicly facing domain and server such as this to collect (ie. allow counties, districts, precincts to upload voting results to) the voting results.

I guess you are talking about the ExpressPoll Election Day user/pass information?

No, re read what I wrote and read up on how these voting machines can be attacked.

log in and download (not upload) files they need for election days

That's the whole vulnerability! The fact that they are getting the data to load into voting machines from a compromised website! The attackers don't need to send bad results, they need to compromise the voting machine to get it to do it for them!

Before voting begins, election officials load the machines using a memory card with instructions for the machine to read in to load info about who you can vote for etc. These files were publicly available for download on the vulnerable server. The server was also vulnerable not only to unauthorized downloading of files, but using a Drupal exploit, full access could be gained to the system. That means an attacker could change the files that all the county voting officials would use to load into the machines and tamper with actual vote counts as other researchers have demonstrated.

From doing research (Googling PollData.db3 mostly) it looks like the PollData.db3 files contain voter registration information. They are used for creating the voter cards at each precinct and/or voting location.

Look at pages 26 and 27. It tells you what all the files were for. The important file being the "Expoll.resources" file I mentioned.

Yes, from what it reads like, they are splitting up a larger project which the AAR is a part of into two phases: one consisting of surplus, switches and APC's mentioned in the AAR (the server was none of these btw)

What do you mean the server was none of these?? The server was explicitly listed on the AAR saying the recommended action was to surplus one and turn the other into a NAS... So why are they talking about the planning of this after they had already wiped one of the servers? If your assertion is that because it was being re-purposed, it wasn't being put into those 2 phases, then why is the R630 that was being re-purposed not touched until after July 19th according to page 40? Same milestones shown on page 3. The repurposed R630 wasn't specially wiped, it was reimaged July 26th.. In addition, it doesn't really list what exactly was on that server, but again, another server destroyed while they were supposed to be retaining evidence...

The bottom line here :

1) the servers used to load information to the voting machines were vulnerable

2) because of #1, the voting machines themselves were exposed to attackers

3) There is no reason any sane IT professional would dban a critical server like that after a security incident. It is completely unacceptable and either demonstrates gross, gross negligence and ineptitude, or a willing destruction of evidence in the attempt to hide something, possibly hide their ineptitude.

4) They destroyed further servers after they were told not to

Wow your misunderstanding is of epic proportions.

Trump didn't say news is the enemy of the people. He said fake news and reporters who pass fake news are the enemy. REALLY simple to understand.

Trump claimed illegal criminal immigrants were infecting, not regular legal immigrants.

All presidents praise dictators: https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/ypam87/every-us-president-cozies-up-to-dictators

Yes, we should profile people and see if they really want to be here and don't want to hurt people or have a criminal background. Why is that bad? Answer: it's not. It's common sense. If you think common sense is bad, then WTF is the point in refuting all of your other BAD and wrong examples? I can though if you really want. But the first half of your pathetic list was just crumpled and thrown out. :(

Trump didn't say news is the enemy of the people.

Well, couple things.. One, yes, he quite literally did. You are hoping he only meant fake news, but no, he literally said that the media is the enemy and on other occasions said not to believe what you hear on the news without further specifying anything. In addition, there are more than a few examples of Trump calling things that are factually correct and accurate "fake news". So even assuming the best and assuming he did only mean to deride fake news as the enemy, well, apparently fake news to him is just things that he doesn't like.. And he even has said so himself..

Trump claimed illegal criminal immigrants were infecting, not regular legal immigrants.

Literally doesn't matter. That is a defining characteristic of fascism. He is painting "others" as the enemy.

All presidents praise dictators:

Where are you finding other Presidents saying things like Duterte is doing “unbelievable job on the drug problem” for extra judicial killings of his own civilians? Or other President's praising Kim Jong Un saying “He’s the head of a country, and I mean he’s the strong head,”. “Don’t let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.”. You are really equating meeting with other heads of state with personally praising horrific actions that they have taken? One is diplomacy, the other is aspiring to be a dictator..

Yes, we should profile people and see if they really want to be here and don't want to hurt people or have a criminal background. Why is that bad?

So, White Nationalists have killed more people in the US over the last several years than any other terrorist group. I guess we should start profiling legal gun owners and really question why they want to own guns and see if they should really be allowed to. It's common sense. We should be going to Churches and hunting groups and taking down names and interrogating suspects. It's only reasonable.

But the first half of your pathetic list was just crumpled and thrown out. :(

would you like me to individually categorize them under the different traits of fascists? I can if you'd like..

So, White Nationalists have killed more people in the US over the last several years than any other terrorist group.

Wrong. This statement is a lie, and you are a liar for promulgating it. Fascism is built on lies.

While white supremacists beat muslims in 2017, muslims BY FAR beat white supremacists in 2016 and damn near every year before that dating back to at least 2001.

So yeah, you're a fascist because you're spreading lies and hate.

It's not as if he said "oh you post in T_D, you deserve to die." THAT is fascism.

Painting others as the enemy and rallying people around an outside group, especially with overly nationalistic rhetoric, is a defining characteristic of fascism. Trump is rallying people around saying illegal immigrants are the problem and using extremely nationalistic rhetoric to do so. Trump is exhibiting facets of fascism.

The article I linked. Read it.

The article says they MET with them. They say some overally generalized or optimistic things. But where in your article is another President praising human right's violations?

Wrong. This statement is a lie, and you are a liar for promulgating it. Fascism is built on lies.

No.. they really did... 2016 is the EXCEPTION to that.

https://qz.com/1182778/the-far-right-was-responsible-for-the-majority-of-extremist-killings-in-2017/

Over the last decade, 71% of domestic extremist related killings in the US were linked to right-wing extremists, while Islamic extremists committed 26% of the killings, the report notes

So yes, on average, you are more likely to be killed by a white nationalist than an islamic terrorist.

Fascism is built on lies.

And how many times has Trump been caught lying again? Seems to be averaging 7.5 a day

created by the Temperance Movement which evolved into the Evangelical movement

LOL, that's an interesting bit of historical revisionism. The Temperance Movement was 99% women. It didn't "evolve" into anything Evangelical. It was absorbed into the burgeoning feminist movements of the early 20th Century. There's a reason prohibition followed after women's suffrage.

The Temperance Movement was 99% women. It didn't "evolve" into anything Evangelical.

The Temperance Movement was based on Christian and Catholic "ideals" and rooted in it being a women's job to maintain the home and educate their children to abstain from alcohol. Also a lot of the problems that were blamed on alcohol directly affected women ( domestic abuse, poverty, etc) which is why it was largely led by women. But that's more how it "started" than really where it went.

The real major players in actually enacting prohibition were the Anti-Saloon League and the Prohibition Party. This was done before women had the right to vote, as hinted at by prohibition being the 18th amendment, and women's right to vote not coming full force until the 19th amendment.

The Anti-Saloon League were really the ones that got the 18th amendment passed, and it was an evangelical Protestant movement. Today the remnants of the Temperance movement are found in organizations like the Salvation Army, Wesleyan Methodist Church, and figures like Billy Graham.

There's a reason prohibition followed after women's suffrage

18 < 19. 18 = no alcohol, 19 = women voting.

Didn't the government intentionally poison moonshine during prohibition that killed a bunch of people? Not to mention prohibition created a market where people were willing to go blind by drinking methanol tainted alcohol.

The government put methanol in industrial alcohols to prevent people from drinking them. The problem was they didn't really tell people/people didn't know and it killed them. It's still done today, but it's called "denatured" alcohol, and people know not to drink the stuff..

Or smoked! Brine for a couple hours, pat dry, rub with deliciousness, then smoke for 45 minutes to an hour depending on thickness of chops.

Edit: Roughly follow this recipe. Ignore soaking the wood chips, and they usually take much less than 1hr 30min. But it depends on smoker and how much you are doing. Also I generally add stuff like extra chili powder and other stuff to taste for my rub.. I rarely follow the recipe any more, just throw in whatever I'm in the mood for.

Lol, I love that there's a link to "save money" by using bottled water next to the "4 cups water" in that recipe. As if someone is going to be using bottle water in their pork chop marinade.

The only step I would add here would be to finish them over direct heat to get some nice browning.

IMO Pork chops need a good, quick thermometer, there's a small temperature window of like 20 degrees where they go from cooked to dry, inedible leather. Chops are generally very lean and don't take to overcooking very well.
