Your IT people have no chill. My team handles the content filtering and we don't touch it unless HR gets a complaint and we have to dig through the logs.

Cisco Live - ICND2 renewed

I'm up to renew my ICND2 next August, but I figured I'd get a sneak peak at the exam since the new version dropped after my last attempt. Surprisingly, and with absolutely no preparation or studying, I passed with an 826/811. Alrighty then!

So, you only retook the ICND2 portion? Does that renew your CCNA?

Original Poster1 point · 1 month ago

Correct. Renewing ICND2, as long as you've also passed ICND1, will re-cert your whole CCNA R/S.

You sound experienced enough to renew next time by taking a ccnp exam.

Not a chance haha. I have no idea how this happened. Most of the content in ICND2 does not apply to my day-to-day.

Can someone explain why so many people are taking the exam during this conference?

Is there like a discount to take it at the conference?

They include a free attempt for any exam in your entry fee. Very awesome way to get certified for free (if your company pays your way) or to get a sneak peek at an exam.

If you deploy NBAR2 on your ISR, keep in mind the additional load on the CPU. For example, there's a substantial performance improvement between the 29XX/traditional IOS and the 4k/IOS XE.

I should have a post coming out soon in Monitoring Central that has a lot of good information, but here's the gist: NOC View (the summary view feature), Appstack, Network Atlas, Perfstack, and SWQL. I recently did a talk at the Chicago SWUG about dashboard design, PM me if you want a copy of the slides.

There's a lot of good information here in these links:

Upgrading to the same new version of the DB resolved the issue!

For future reference, check out your Customer Portal and the SolarWinds Success Center for upgrade steps/requirements. There is lots of good information out there :)

I'll be there! Anyone know if there is any kind of meetup planned like last year?

No, but we could plan one.

I know SolarWinds usually gets a lot of hate because of their sales folks but if you don't have anything going on late Tuesday afternoon there's a user group happening. I'll be there!

I've got a love/hate relationship with SW, but I do need to learn more about it. I'm positive we are criminally underusing it.

Don't stress your exam, use it as a learning experience to absorb the pace and the questions. Have a printout of the exam topics in your backpack and take notes as soon as you get out of the testing center.

No definitely not. I feel like a veteran exam taker now, so I'm not worried at all. We've just been fighting fires for the last two months at work so my study schedule has been blown to hell. It's free, though, so I'll take it as a preview for when I take it for real.

The SWUG might be a good idea, then. The latest releases just came out with some awesome new features for network management.

Original Poster1 point · 1 month ago

I'll try to make it. Can you link or PM me details?

Ah shoot, it looks like they're at capacity as of this morning. Yesterday there were a few seats left. Keep an eye out, though: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/events/2484. Additionally, there will be a booth in the World of Solutions where you can talk to the product managers and head geeks about the tools you're interested in. I would definitely recommend stopping by.

Welcome to the long haul. It's been 8 months since I started from campaign 1 episode 1 and now I'm only six episodes behind. Worth every minute. It's better than Netflix.

If you want to get geographical, you'll definitely need a map. There's no resources for a summary view that will do what you're looking to do.

Railtown is the bee's knees. It can be a bit crowded and loud, but the new building should fix that!

You should do an albino Tiefling spellcaster... there's almost no reference art for that kind of character. I've been trying to find something for my warlock forever and there's nothing out there!

Original Poster2 points · 3 months ago

Hahaha that’s interesting. I suppose if I drew him, he’d just be a tiefling without shading.

Albinism can sometimes bring out unique facial features, it might be an interesting challenge! Awesome work by the way!

Enter conservatives crying about rights being violated. Something about this being a non-issue because not enough spouses are shot and killed by their husbands/wives each year to justify such a gross infringement on the 2A.

No, I'm not a Democrat. Yes, I am a gun owner. Yes, I'm a traitor because I find this law 100% acceptable.

EDIT: husbands/wifes

There's a reason I uninstalled the game yesterday. This was the last straw for me. No other game gets me pumped like PUBG but I'm sick of playing a game where I get killed by hackers and my 'reward' is getting crates I HAVE TO PAY FOR. The icing on the cake is playing the game for shitty weapon skins. That's so irrelevant to my interests in this game it hurts.

In the Manage Agents screen you should be able to deploy a new agent to a node that's managed in Orion. During the process you can choose a polling engine, change the Agent mode, and assign credentials. When assigning credentials you should be able to test them as well.

Bob and his son who own Bob's Repair in Caledonia are the most honest men I've ever met, and they happen to be top-notch auto mechanics as well. Seriously amazing folks over there.

Michigan native here. Been living abroad for about 6 months now...aaaaand now I'm homesick.

It's a great map! So cool to see my own little hometown show up here.

EDIT: Interestingly, the Grand Rapids-Detroit route seems to follow a really similar direction to modern I-96 in certain places. Was the railroad taken out to make room for the highway?

Can you post a screenshot? I have a handful of NOC views with maps but I don't see any gray bars.

Can anyone tell me what the point of NOC view is?

NOC views allow you to have a single URL that rotates through multiple pages. The pages are configured by enabling "Left Navigation" on a NOC view.
