I'm trying to tune my laptop because currently it's running quite a bit loud when doing intensive gaming. I know every chip is different, but now the question is: at what point do I know when to stop? I'm using XTU and didn't manage to fail the built-in stress test. Benchmark is somewhat inconsistent and I didn't have time to run it multiple times, but the first time at -0.18 it scored 830, when at 0.00 it was about 800. One hour later I redone it and got about 720 at both -0.18 and -0.20, but max temps were held at about 60-70 degrees, when without the UV they reached over 90 easily. Seems worth it, but the perfect scenario would be reducing thermal throttling without reducing performance, right?
I did, however, manage to get my laptop rebooted after about 30 minutes, when doing intensive stress test with gaming + streaming simultaneusly. I'm not exactly sure if it was because of that (I think it would be even more likely to crash at stock, it was being fucking tortured lol) and plan to do more tests after I return from work.
To the point: do you have any recommendations about what tests should I do? I'm still new to things like this.
Also, what do u recommend when it comes to undervolting GPU?
