Yeah, I get you - good advice. Played with an iPhone 8plus and albeit the physical borders feel like an old boxed TV I couldn't help like the large rectangular screen. Onwards and upwards.

Hey dude' first of all good luck! It's an awesome career path. I've been producing/directing for the BBC and ITV in the UK for the past 7 years.

So in summary - get in as an Assistant Producer perhaps, then it's not long until your producing. Do that for a year or two - Once you know how to produce a story editorially you can then start getting on screen and in some news packages you do. After a few years of that you can then become a presenter. It's just like working up the Pyramid! (Although some presenters land it lucky and go straight into the job and don't do the hard graft that I believe is integral)

Editors oversea the whole editorial structure and rundown of the shows that they control. Or there are other editors who actually edit material.

I know, the crazy part is I bought it in the USA, and because I'm not in the UK they can't replace it for a new one - BUT I did buy it with Apple Care, however Apple Care said they will fix it anywhere any amount of time, but never replace it anywhere else apart from USA. Insane. So I told them what if it breaks down 50 times, surely you'll replace it and they didn't really have an answer for that..

Completely understand. And appreciate you lending your insight. It really is a tricky one. And I had been so patient and understanding. As I love my apple products. But when it gets to a point where someone is throwing you around a goose chase through different departments and misleading you. I'm sure you can see why I decided to share my story here. I partially agree. I was SO reluctant to ask for compensation - but it got to the point where I had been told sorry way to many times that it finally dawned on me had this been any other company, even Walmart. They would have most definitely offered a good will gesture. Why are apple so different?

I was told to call Apple care by the Apple Store. Apple care have been awesome. They said that they will speak to a manger at my local retail store and I'll be able to walk out with something as good will for the troubles. So the retail store calls me and they said "apple Care called, what did you say to them?" I responded with, "well you told me to call them for compensation and they then told me to wait for a call from you" the retail store manager said well we can't give you anything at all and that's final.... THEN he tried to blame me and stated that it was my fault that I bought an American MacBook as it delayed getting parts fixed in the Uk... SERIOUSLY? When It was apple who sold me an unfortunately faulty machine (regardless of the region) and the retail store then also damaged it 😂😂

I couldn't believe it got to this. I really don't care that much, but it's just embarrassing a customer has to ask in the first place.

Been a long time apple fan boy, shocked at the service of certain colleagues that represent an awesome company.

I had to fly abroad for the job and couldn't use it. Don't see why this is the main point. Lol. I'm more annoyed at Apples blasé approach to the situation.
