I'm not creative enough to think of a cool name by myself, so I'll probably end up naming my ship after another pirates. I picked out something that's at least a tiny bit obscure though. There's a series I really liked as a kid called The Edge Chronicles, about sky pirates and their floating pirate ships. At one point, the character I seemed to be most fond of got his own first ship, and it was called the Edgedancer. That'd probably be the name for me. Simple, referential, and vaguely appropriate. That's about all I got.

I think I remember that series. It's been a long time though

It has been for me too. I must have read them in.. Probably middle school? So probably like 13 or 15 years ago.

Yeah that sounds about right. I liked the artwork in it too. It was odd but I enjoyed it lol.

Yeah I've been thinking about it with all the weird monuments coming through lately

You're getting buried under that thing? You're braver than I thought.

Lol no just helping make it. They're also getting a granite vase that's carved like Obi Wans's lightsaber

Cool headstone! Although it's also a bit sad--not because headstones are inherently sad, but because anyone who wanted that quote is probably pretty young (in their 20s to 30s, maybe 40s) and had an untimely death. It's nice that you were able to carry out one of their last wishes. Do you exclusively do headstones, or also other kinds of engraving/carving? Seems like an interesting line of work, and uniquely challenging in some aspects, especially emotionally.

It can be. I've had to make headstones for a couple people I went to school with and I'm only 23 so it can be pretty sad some days. But it is a good feeling to see the finished stone and know I helped make that. We also make other types of granite moments like war memorials and signs for businesses which is pretty cool

You're a good person, OP. It's better this way.
