  1. Make it a routine. His glasses will come off a couple times but if you make putting his glasses on part of his routine it will make things much easier. We got my daughter a glasses holder that she picked, she puts them there at night and in the morning she puts them on. She now does this on her own.

  2. Just don't clean them every single time. Unless your kid says something, just wash them before daycare/ when he gets home/ before night time.

If I was 9 and had a crush on my 15 year old babysitter I'd be really humiliated if the parents of my babysitter told my parents about it.

I get that your son is uncomfortable and he needs to deal with it without you getting involved. What does he want to do? How does he want to approach the situation? At 9, just knowing my crush didn't feel the same way towards me would have been enough to make me find another crush and move on. She's (probably) not obsessing and making shrines of your son in her closet.

LuvMy4Boyz 19 points

He said he didn't want to babysit until this was resolved and asked me if I could bring it up with the mom. She isn't making shrines but she told him that she practices writing his last name as her last name. I guess that's normal but still made my son uncomfortable.

carlinha1289 33 points

Okay, so this is a great opportunity for him to bring it up with the mom's girl or with the girl herself or to stop babysitting.

He's 15, he doesn't need you to resolve problems for him. He needs to know you have his back and that you are there for him.

What work field would you be working in? Usually, you cannot bring your child with you to work. Sometimes, if you're lucky, your work can have a daycare where you can drop your kid off, work, and go see him/her during breaks and lunch time. If you work in education, you can bring your child with you if you teach the same grade/ level. If you work from home too.

Guy here, correct me if I'm wrong, but this is something I just love doing for my girlfriend. It's the small things that make her smile so I try to go out of my way and make her happy even if it's just getting out of the car before she can just so I can make her a bit more comfortable, especially if it's cold.

Just wanted to say not all guys do this because we think we are "better at pumping gas" (like wtf? That's dumb as shit) but sometimes we do seamless things to make people happy.

carlinha1289 29 points

Woman here.

Why do we have to know about your gender? Is it possible got you to get your point across without specifying your gender?

PuzzledZucchini 46 points

That was my initial thought as well, but she had already been in to the store to pay for the gas, and he yelled out the window. None of those alternatives preclude asking politely before she went in to pay!

carlinha1289 48 points

It's hard to picture when you're not actually there. I personally already yelled out to my partner what I wanted out of a window because it's noisy and that he's at least a meter away.

Either way, let's hope it's not the case and that it was a misunderstanding on the photographers end.

It's a tumpy little alligator, all full of sweet bread. He is too tumpy to do push ups, clap hands or brush his teeth. Maybe that is why alligators are so mean....

carlinha1289 1 point

Oh randoh! Maybe that is why lol

Is...Is that an egg in its mouth?

carlinha1289 12 points

Yeah, we usually boil eggs and put them in sweet bread for Easter.

This is kind of relative but still pretty fucked up. Went out with a friend of mine and his cousin. Cousin tells me its safe to park on the side of the road (said hes done it hundreds of times) we go upstairs and looking over the balcony i see a cop giving me a parking ticket. Friends cousin grabs the parking ticket from me and says ill take care of this dont worry.

I was like um no its cool its just a parking ticket. He tells me he feels bad and wants to pay it so i was like okay cool.

Well long story short he said he paid it and had the paystub for paying it and said I can come over and pick it up so I can go to the police dept and clear it all up.

Somehow he loses the paystub and I walk down to the court house and have to pay double what it was before.

I was totally fine paying it on my own.

carlinha1289 17 points

Ugh. That massively sucks. To be honest if I told someone 'Park there, I'm 100% sure it's fine!' and it wasn't, I'd probably offer to pay the ticket because I personally made them do a mistake. Could they have double checked? Sure but then I should have just kept my mouth shut.

What was this trip you were a passenger for?

carlinha1289 2 points

We both had to go to a work formation. So we left from the same place and went to the centre where we had to go.

Don’t worry, it’s not for sex.

I mean...LATER we’ll have sex obviously.

But it’s not for sex right this minute.

Well unless you want sex. Do you want sex?

This is perfect.

These situations are tricky because you basically have no extra information on what exactly happened. I have somewhat of a common name and a parent once decided to google my name and it came up with a case of this woman with the same name as I have that had beaten up a child while he was in her daycare. So they bought it up to the principal, but not without talking with other parents and in under 24 hours I swear to god I was basically being harassed by parents. Honestly, not the way to go. My principal diverged the rumors right away, but it could have basically lead to me being fired over rumors.

ThrowItAwayLaterDV 8 points

It's the same person. Same full name. Same wife's name. Same former wife's name. Absent from school on the same day as his last hearing. Posting things on his facebook that confirm the situation (not admitting to anything). It's not just a rumor. It's fact.

carlinha1289 43 points

You still don't know the whole story.
