Motorcycle death last week.

There was another one just last night at Hwy 7 and Vaughan Valley. This one happened right in front of me. Really sad.

Im 26. Same milestones as you minus the kid. My wife runs our coffee stand and I work in sales for a fortune 50 company.

She has some college but no degree. I'm finishing my BA in retail management soon, then I'll go after a computer information certificate. No debt besides one car and the house.

We wholeheartedly belive our generation is lazy.

I honestly think people are bred into lazy/ignorant lives. A lot of educated people grew up with educated influences

I'm a 25 year old with a computer science degree, shit job, living wage to wage and 50 grand in student debt.

Join the club princess

I'm 39 and I just paid off my student loans, FIFTEEN YEARS EARLY according to their schedule. It is absolutely insane and designed to keep you in debt now.

I graduated when I was 23 and the government here helps pay student loans in full after 15 years (Ontario.) So mine will be paid off at 38 regardless of what I do.

I didn't see what happened. I was in a taxi on my phone waiting to turn left at the southbound light. Heard a loud metallic bang and thought something fell off the truck as it turned left going eastbound. It finished its turn and I saw the motorcycle on the ground. A white SUV was in front of us and it blocked the body. Taxi driver decided to just leave so as we overtook the SUV the body was there just beside the motorcycle. Tried not to look because of how bad it could've been. Just saw it off my peripheral vision. Taxi driver said he saw it directly and looked crushed. The victims friends who were on motorcycles kinda stopped and one guy drove ahead past the light, stopped and yelled at them. Taxi drove away before I saw anything else.

I seen/heard these guys before though. I take the bus at a bus stop on that corner most nights. There's a car show every Wednesday in a nearby plaza and they speed/rev up to the gas station on Wednesdays. Sounds cool and I usually cheer em on. Not on this day though.

Kathleen Wynne mentioned they were in talks of implementing integrated fares. Hopefully Ford is on it. Sucks for students who live in Vaughan to be forced to pay $15 a day just to attend their class

I'd say we're in the future when TTC buses drive themselves. 5 years probably.

Their union is way too strong to let that happen anytime soon.

I'm about the same graduated in 2015, I've gotta say it's friggin awful. Low ball offers like crazy, anything that looks remotely good with a future has a billion applicants and I'm too lackluster to even get an interview. This is nothing like all the research I did prior to university said things would be at all.

I'm basically doing labor at this point, in a position that wanted a bsci, for god knows why, I haven't used that part of my brain in over a year, but it pays better than anything I'd consider to be a part of my field.

At this point I'm riding the suck, looking for something with a better future, and working to better myself. I'm honestly considering taking a 25% pay cut for the time being to switch to a different field entirely that wouldn't utilize my degree at all but it has a better future with actual advancement.

I'm in a similar position. graduated 2014 with bio and working in healthcare 3PL for min wage.

13 points · 2 days ago

I have a bio degree and worked for one through a temp agency. I quit after one day after realizing they misled me with their ad and was only there to harvest cannabis for like 1-2 weeks. fuck temp agencies.

I wanna see Ontario separate and then see every province and state separate as well. then in another decade we see all metro areas separate from their states, and then all boroughs, then all houses, then individuals, then brain areas, then neurons, etc

Really looks like the monkey goes to grab a snack off its snoot since it goes to its mouth directly after

Now I'm imagining that owl strutting into an old western 1800's style saloon. Stands there with his legs up like in that second pic up at the bar. Gives the bartender a "howdy partner" as he tosses a single coin at the man on exchange for a shot of whiskey. Says he's looking for work in these here parts. Then goes over to the piani and plays a tune.

In the Old English language that was spelled þæt. It was also abbreviated as a letter Thorn, þ, with the ascender crossed, ꝥ. In Middle English, the letter Ash, æ, was replaced with the letter a, so that that was spelled þat, or sometimes þet. The ascender of the þ was reduced (making it similar to the Old English letter Wynn, ƿ), which necessitated writing a small t above the letter to abbreviate the word that. In later Middle English and Early Modern English the þ evolved into a y shape, so that the word was spelled yat (although the spelling with a th replacing the þ was starting to become more popular) and the abbreviation for that was a y with a small t above it. This abbreviation can still be seen in reprints of the 1611 edition of the King James Version of the Bible in places such as 2 Corinthians 13:7.
