Meh I wouldn't talk shit, most Jag' s fans probably wouldn't even care we beat them if they won a Super Bowl.

davec79 19 points

Agreed. If your team has the Lombardi trophy in their hands, would you even register that someone is yelling "Yeah, but we beat you once in the regular season!"

The one bright spot for me in all of this is knowing that we were right about Trump. We knew what he was from the beginning.

Because the context wasn't "Hey do you want to go live in Haiti?" it was "People from Haiti want to live in America" and his response was to recoil and say:

“Why do we need more Haitians, take them out.”

It’s barely a 30 minute drive down the 5.

But I don’t see Hunter stepping down. His district loves them corrupt hunters.

davec79 1 point

Right, it's one thing if the current congressman left office and he ran for the election, but he's suggesting he might primary challenge a sitting congressman from his own party because he can't win in his own district.

RosneftTrump2020 1 point

FTA, it sounds like he’s considering jumping in if Hunter decides not to run. Hunter is facing ethics charges and has a corrupt history, so he may not run.

davec79 1 point

Would it shock you to learn I didn't read the article...

Is there a situation where he doesn't need to because people have flipped on him?

davec79 4 points

Probably, but "lying to the FBI" is such an easy charge, considering the evidence they've got, why not give him a chance to dig his own grave?

Not only that but a lot of those Devil Dogs are still practically kids and will be registered to vote wherever their parents live. At least that’s how I did it when I was in.

davec79 2 points

Yup, I voted absentee in every election while I was in.

RealBigAl 1 point

Cohen is the plaintiff. Not Trump.

davec79 2 points

True, but many of the facts about Cohen directly relate to his experiences in and around the campaign.

Bobby_Marks2 2 points

Disagree. They want discovery, if it tells them who leaked the dossier and who Steele's sources are. Not only does that purge Western contacts in Russia and the east, but more than likely BuzzFeed got the dossier from someone in the Intel community.

That would be a very high profile crucifixion that Trump would be able to use as a distraction, someone at the FBI or NSA leaking intel to hurt Trump.

davec79 9 points

Except he's not suing Steele, so BuzzFeed isn't going to have that information.

John Rhyves Davies ended up getting a skin condition due to the makeup he wore to play Gimli in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Due to this he spent a lot of time on his own and didn't really bond with rest of the fellowship like the rest of them did.

davec79 3 points

All the members of the Fellowship went and got tattoos, except him. His stunt double got one with them instead.

I fucking dare you to say, "free speech," Charles. How is the government limiting your speech here?

davec79 1 point

The lawsuit makes a ridiculously weak attempt to create a premise that Twitter is a state actor.

Cuw 2 points

If they started banning protected classes it would get into some questionable territory. So if they ban all gay men because they are gay men they would definitely end up in front of the supreme court.

davec79 7 points

What about if they just banned all thin-skinned would-be journalists with a history of allegedly shitting on the floor of fast food restaurants?

The hundreds of meals consumed by animals are largely not foods used by humans. Hay is not the same as shredded wheat. Yes, they also eat grain, same as humans, so it's not a total lack of competition of the food source. The largest culprit of waste of a food stock is the production of ethanol as fuel. This is corn which could be used by both humans and animals as food. It actually costs more energy to produce ethanol than is saved, but there is a whole government subsidy mechanism in place....

You're not at all wrong, but the hay farmer could produce wheat instead.

The pods didn't close because a squad of Raptors jumped from within one of them and shredded it (See Tighs warning when Boomer escapes). The ship bends like that because it can only safely jump with retracted pods.

davec79 6 points

Eh, that was on the outside, that wouldn't have contacted anything or prevented the pods from retracting. I think the pods didn't close because no one closed them, it was just time to go, and retracting them would have delayed the emergency jump too long.

Discovery docs are not public record and are highly confidential

davec79 9 points

Yeah, that's not at all true. Absent a stipulation or a protective order, deposition transcripts can and often do become part of the record. Interrogatories can also be filed as evidence, which is part of the trial record.

I hope that impacts Amazon's preorder system, I haven't seen an update yet.

davec79 2 points

It might take a minute for the authorization to release early to filter through the system.

I hope Hillary is used to record the audio book.

davec79 69 points

Hillary would work for Fox, but Obama reading it would personally give DJT a rage stroke.

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

davec79 323 points

It's going to take a lot longer than that to convince Obama to narrate the audio book they're going to mail to the White House.

I'd totally be okay with dying like that though. Seems like an instant death.

davec79 5 points

One can hear “My God” in several languages, it said. “One can also hear metallic blows, at least three times, suggesting the pilot tried to break down the cockpit door with a heavy object. Towards the end after a stronger tremor, the screams intensify. Then nothing”, it wrote.

The death was instant, but the several minutes of sheer terror and chaos are the parts I could do without.
