Fun fact - I PM users who ask questions every so often to see if people PM them, trying to sell them something.

...and how often is that the case?

It's actually pretty rare, thankfully!

I don't think they understood what the percent meant in the first place. Just that 100% sounds a lot better than 20%.

I like dark choclate. I kept on buying higher and higher %s. 70% 80% 84% 89% 92% I then noticed that they never make anything higher than that. Which I thought was BS. So i searched for 100% chocolate. Found it in the baking isle one day. I was so happy.

Until I ate a piece and gagged. I imagine that is what eating chalk is like.

Which colour chalk though?

All of them.

My heart goes out to you pal, that sounds like actual hell

Thank you. It's likely a cross between pushing myself too hard at first & as my physical therapist says "Weird flat caveman feet." And newest therapist actually fixed one major problem with, no joke, one simple stretch. But I am so tired of all the one leg stand balancing work and not seeing any results.

I may have gone through something similair- Last year I trained for a half marathon (way overtrained, I was running 50+ miles a week, r e a l l y unecessary) and I had this pain in my heel that went up my calf, after a few minutes my whole leg seized up below the knee. Completely locked up. I hobbled home, tried to run again the next day. Same thing. Got my ass to PT and it turned out that my super mega flat feet had caused the foot strike impact to be fully absorbed by my Achilles tendon, which it's not supposed to do, which also caused me to have a severe instep, which was causing my knees to start to tilt inwards, which was causing bunions to form on my smallest toes on the outside of my foot.. this huge compounded issue was just from flat feet. They told me to get Superfeet Green shoe inserts, and I took 4 weeks off from running anything more than 4 miles, no inclines, no jumping, no high impact, and did PT for those 4 weeks. I was fine and had a full recovery. They also were going to do dry trigger point needling, but I didn't need it. (High metabolism, high iron intake, plus some calcium-magnesium-zinc pills, and I eat a ton of oily fish, all which apparently make me heal really fast I guess) Good luck and I hope they fix you up and send you on your way soon!

Yah at this point we are going with flat feet causing all the issues. Similar stuff my PT is saying at this point. Already got my super greens and it helped normal foot fatigue immediately. Did you do PT every day? Or every other day? And Thanks for the good wishes!

Water moccasins or cotton mouths can be aggressive once provoked and tend to keep biting. This is a water moccasin not a rattle snake.

That certainly looks like a rattler to me.

My body won't allow me to get 8 hours of sleep for some reason. If I get 8 hours sleep, the next night I won't be able to sleep until 5-6 hours before the time I need to wake up. 5-6 hours of sleep and I feel like shit too.

How much do you work out in a day?

38.7k points · 2 months agoGilded1

I love staying up late because it's so peaceful when the world goes to sleep, but I hate staying up late when I'm extremely tired the next day

Go to bed at 8 and wake up at 4am. Bow you still have 2-3 hours of peaceful time.

I need to make a mock up of a Happy Or Not "Kisok." I'm not worried about the programming side. Brand new to the hardware side and just bought a bag of goodies from Frys.

That's not a question.

Where can I find big buttons that would work for this?

They kick everyone off while they clean/restock the ship. So he probably has to spend a day in a hotel every few weeks.

No they don't. You can book back to back and not have to get off.

KMX. And those tortilla chips that came in a pringles like can.

I'm going thru this with someone I am trying to hire. Maybe almost a 10% difference. But 5 minutes vs 2 hours.

That seems ambitious for most 5th graders. I wonder if any of the 4th graders I teach would like it?

Hmm 🤔 that seems like a challenge for 4th graders. I wonder if any of my 3rd grade students would be interested in it.

Well shoot. I might just go this year.

we should do a r/sacramento beer bike day. how many of us will get 86'd

Goal should be to get 86'd right away, causing such a panic that the city permanently shuts the idea down.

Have any data sources on inter racial marriages? I grew up in seattle which I thought had many integrated neighborhoods. I can see pockets of this in Sacramento but don’t have any numbers of either city

My wife and I are an interracial couple living in sacramento. That's all the data you need!

Learning Python and best practices for doing ETL work with Python. Coming from only working with MS products the last 12 years... dang!

Score hidden · 4 months ago

Why did you move away from MS products? Are you moving to Hadoop/MongoDB etc?

Score hidden · 4 months ago

I am still using MS at my day job. I have some consulting work where they want to use postgres and python, looking at how to architect the ETL part. They all come from that background and want input on how it compares to a MS stack and paid ETL tools.

i’m going to keep looking (i hate reinventing the wheel if i can help it) but it looks like something that I might have to invest time into doing.

Did you find anything? Or start the open source route?

I did not. I assume you are looking for something similar?

I think it's a preposterous rule, might as well start banning fat people by the same logic.

Exactly. Why should me vaping a couple times a week stop me from getting a job? I workout every day and have great labs. That's just crazy. And I'm going into a new job next week for a hospital system. This totally scared me.
