additionally, russian "k" pronounces the same as english "c", and "crab" is a cognate between the two languages. So english speakers adopted the mixed rus-eng spelling of a word that means the same thing in both languages - the pinchy pinchy sandcrawler.

It seems like every scope in the game has a different scoped sensitivity. I run my mouse at high DPI (12000) and in most games set a fractional sensitivity to achieve my desired movement speed. In Tarkov ever since the very first moment, I've had mouse sensitivity AND mouse sensitivity (aiming) all the way down at 0.1. At these speeds, scopes like the bravo and hamr site are too fast when scoped in, requiring me to drop my DPI to get precice aim. Scopes like the PSO are slower, and are right in the 'sweet spot' for me at 12000 dpi and 0.1 on the slider.

In 0.9, they released the Burris Fullfield TAC-30 1-4x24 scope, which I really enjoy, but its even slower than the PSO, requring me to increase the scoped sensitivity (aiming) to about 0.3 to give me the right feel. During my last raid, I was running this scope, then I went for a scav run, and when I aimed down my pistol sites, I spun in a circle because it was so sensitive.

I wish that they would fix this bug, so that all scopes had the same response when aiming down sights. I also would like to be able to set a fractional sensitivity lower than 0.1 - give me a text box where I can enter even smaller fractional values.

I just re read it, maybe I missed it again, can you cite where he says he moved to Feythabolis and that is where he used the Gilas.

Also if it is true that he had indeed moved to Feythabolis which was transferred 5 months ago, it means he was recently active too, has anyone ever seen more than 50 Gilas ratting in Feythabolis or even more KWG players.

If we take Gila, it is producing about 30 millions per hour. But I planned to use them for 23,5/7 which could bring me about 700 millions per day. By other words – two Gilas is a one Mothership. If we multiply this for 300 accounts, which I planned to use, we may get more than 6 trillions of pure monthly income. So, such fucking huge pile of money allowed us to buy not only Omist, but all the Feythabolis, all the freakin’ TESTS or FRATERNITIES with their guts and without. We also payed some coins to SOLARs, XLegion of Deathx, REDs and other noisy mosquitos to leave us alone and not to disturb us with their raids. And this is the reason, why TESTS, who are sitting on our payroll are running to defend our structures at first snap of our fingers.

He says here that it was his income from Gila botting that allowed them to buy all of these entities and feythabolis.

Just last week in feythabolis - 1-3 gilas in every system, all with the same name, all bots. When chat was broken, we murderzoned a whole pocket of them, and a bot in a nidhoggur, who literally warped out of a POS and back to a site 15 seconds after watching our sabre land 100km off his POS and cloaking up...

they dont care that much about bots, because every account generates the same income for ccp, bot or real player.

This is a myth. The bot accounts are paid for by PLEX bought with ISK paid to them by CCP. All they are doing is giving CCP back SOME of what CCP gave them. At best it is a zero sum game for CCP, costs them nothing, gains them nothing.

CCP makes money of players like me who don't earn enough ISK per month to PLEX their accounts and buy all the shiny toys we like to get blown up in. Even with 3 paid accounts now I can't PLEX out and I'm ok with that. 1000% better than paying for cable.

But see, here is where you should be enraged! Guys like this are the reason Plex gets more expensive - guys like this literally make your isk/hour less valuable.

Are you talking about the client window color background selection? If this is the case, it is only available to omega clones (for some reason).

Anybody know if there is a log parser or a plugin for notepad++ that will convert the 'shitty html' combat log into a more human readable form? Changing the extension from .txt to .html and opening in chrome sort of works, but it lacks carraige returns so renders as a huge block of text.

just to be able to go back to my log and have something human-readable. The instance that prompted me to look for a tool was when trying to figure out how many Bhaal noses I had on me to keep me when I was floored in my Basi, and whether or not I had enough cap betwen nos cycles to fire my afterburner (I did). It is super difficult to go through the .txt log files with all the HTML crap in there defining colors and all that.

I'm not interested in DPS graphs (and I know there is a 'live' cat parser that has a DPS out/in overlay), just to be able to read the logs when doing forensic AAR analysis.

I guess what I'm looking for is either a notepad++ plugin that actually reads/renders the HTML parts in color, or (as my smart corpmate replied) something that can clear out all the noise from the log.

quick and dirty solution in notepad++ from a corpmate regex wizard:

  • Open in notepad++
  • ctrl-H
  • in "Find what:" paste this: </?+((\w|=|\s)+)>
  • leave replace with blank
  • and under search mode select regular expression

which turns this:

[ 2018.07.09 02:50:20 ] (combat) <color=0xff00ffff><b>1319</b> <color=0x77ffffff><font size=10>to</font> <b><color=0xffffffff>Devin Poisson[SA.FE](Brutix)</b><font size=10><color=0x77ffffff> - Supratidal Veles Entropic Disintegrator - Hits

into this

[ 2018.07.09 02:50:20 ] (combat) 1319 to Devin Poisson[SA.FE](Brutix) - Supratidal Veles Entropic Disintegrator - Hits

Happened to me a month or so ago, seems to be a random bug. It happened after a socket closure... Take this time to make your overview nicer than it was before, and make a standard file with settings to export to all your accounts.

To add to what Warga5m is saying, they also had logi in this gang

It looked to me like the guardian was mostly a sunbro - almost always it was only applying cap transmitters.

the problem is, I'm absolutely awful at pvp, I don't even know what to engage with this stratios

Well, you had to have had something in mind when you put two faction webs on it... What role is it meant to serve? You've got neuts, webs, a covops cloak... Sounds to me like a cloaky gank ship

I also have an addiction like yours. I have the doctrine ships for my Corp, and then like... A zillion more snowflakes. I have an obsession with buying a 'jackknife' ship that is especially good for some role that I've imagined. I never get around to flying most of them, but they are there if the need ever arises - I'll have the perfect ship!

Can someone explain what’s going on chemically?

I can't explain it chemically because I have no clue what is happening chemically - but I think I can explain it physically, because it looks like the thing I study at university: Its Rayleigh-Taylor instability.

Imagine you have oil and water - the oil floats on the water, and a flat, stable interface is formed between the two liquids.

Now imagine that the situation is suddenly reversed, and you have oil trapped underneath the water. It wants to float to the top, but it has to somehow force its way through the water. Tiny ripples in the surface between the oil and the water begin to grow, and bubbles of oil begin to push their way up through the water, just as the water forms drops that want to fall through the oil. (this gif appears to be a simulation of a miscible pair - where the two fluids can mix together - but it looks good and illustrates the phenomenon well).

What you are seeing here is paint thinner which (apparently) is denser than the paint. It was poured on top of the paint, which has a metallic flake effect mixed in. As the two fluids push past each other, trying to switch places, they produce torque on the surface where they contact, causing rotation. This rotation results in turbulent mixing, and the psychedelic, transfixing pattern observed in the OP's gif.

If you look at this phenomenon in an incredibly high-res 3D simulation or in this actual experimentits easy to see how it might be responsible for the visuals you see in the OP's gif.

*Edit - thank you for the gold, kind stranger! I was just trying to figure out why some threads had blue lines on PC, and only just realized that I had been gilded

You can not see it on dscan but it is probable

Wrong, you have to add it to your Dscan manually (overview settings -> abyssal trace) and you combat probe filter manually (abyssal trace). None of it is on by default

My parents retired and moved down to Mexico, just south of Guadalajara. The driscoll farms berries all come from that region, and there are huge swaths of blackberry fields. Evidently there is some reason why those bigass blackberries are undesirable for US markets, so the workers in the fields get to keep them. There are vendors on the side of the road who will sell you a big tub of 'jugosos' - which is what they call those totally delicious, gigantic blackberries, for about a dollar.

Hmm so what ship can reliably run the T4/T5 sites then? I had a p.cheap Gila that could complete any class except dark inside 20 minutes, and with a success rate around 4/5... but sometimes you just get the U LOSE wave where webbing neuting demaviks and vedmaks keep you from getting under the t5 drone / drifter battleships guns.

I have been having trouble coming up with a fit that: Can tank the neuts/webs/dps waves, but still can complete 3 smalldrone waves inside of 20 minutes without going in with implants and blingy ships.

I understand that the goal of these sites is to provide challenging PVE content, but when you have to roll the dice with what kind of waves you might get (prepare for one thing, die if the other thing appears), and the cost of losing is a pirate cruiser + implants, it will only be worth it if the price of abyssal drone goo, bpcs and mutagens is super high.

I've been using this fit in chaotic exotic and infernal and haven't lost it yet. It's stable without cap injecting, so those are just for cycling reps under neuts. Of course with this new change, depending when/how it applies, going to a non-droneboat might be better.

And you're using smalldrones during the rogue drone waves? I was having a hell of a time with completion under 20 mins in an armortank ishtar with one DDA

This was posted yesterday, and completes the sites 20 seconds faster than my vigilant:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85V9VZe8lIk

I fit mine with lasers in the highs, a mwd in the mid, and overdrive injectors until you go faster than 1800. fill the rest with heatsinks and cap batteries. Guy in the vid uses 2 nanos and overheats his prop for a cycle. Either way works.
