Anyone know if you can sign into jabber if you have a primary email address that is different from the domain ? For example if domain is 123.com - and my email is address kip@123.com it works fine but if i have a user who logs into the same domain but has a different primary address such as kip@456.com it fails. Am i making any sense ? Just wondered if anyone had come across this issue before. Thanks

I think we've narrowed it down - we have a DNS entry internally for 456.com so a CSF client works ok, but as we are using expressways, these aren't aware of 456.com so can't forward to 123.com allowing the mobile client to work

Hello, wondering if anyone is using airwatch and jabber for iPhone ? We seem to have an issue where the app goes into idle mode and gets unregistered in call manager. This then means that calls do not come through to the iPhone. Was wondering if there is anything we can tweak in airwatch to maybe change the app behaviour ?Thanks

First, the obvious:

  • Is background app refresh activated on the phone for the Jabber app?
  • Is the app running in some sandbox made by Airwatch?
    • If so, you may want to contact VMware about this issue

CUCM side of things:

  • How are the timeouts set in the SIP Profile your TCT devices are using?
  • Have you created an Jabber error log and checked for what the client is actually doing when it gets unregistered?

background app is on, no airwatch sandbox. Timer settings are Timer invite expires 180, Timer register delta 60, Timer register expires 660, Timer keep alive expires 660, Timer subscribe expires 660, Timer subscribe delta 15.

Hello, does anyone know if this can be moved or removed when someone is sharing their screen with another user. As soon as you want to work at the top of the screen the bar appears and then covers anything under neath it.

Hello, is there a way that a line group can skip a member if that member is out of office and has forwarded their phone to voicemail ? We have a longest idle group configured for a team but it is including people who aren't at their desk and have forwarded all to to voicemail.

Hello, is there a minimum spec for enabling NBAR ? we have it enabled on a 4321 ISR but was wondering if the commands are different for a 2911. Does the IOS version come into play ?

Hi, is there a setting i can change in cucm or uccx that shows the final DN that answered a contact centre call instead of showing me the CTI route point as the final destination ?

Hello, is it possible to create a hunt group and make the pilot number a number that can be dialled internally ?

I want to setup a HG with a few users included and if anyone dials the HG pilot number - all those DN's in the HG ring at the same time.

Hi, we still use this even though its end of life and out of support. We are looking to close it down but have many future meetings in the system. Is there a way to stop users from booking any future meetings but still allow the system to run the ones already logged ?

Thanks for the swift reply. We're currently running v11 and have been told that the new apple ios 11 buggers jabber (no technical details i'm afraid) and that an upgrade to 11.5 will be needed

Hello, i have my CCENT booked for mid october. I've purchased the exam sim from Boson - when is the ideal time to use them ? I don't want to go through all the exams too soon so i was thinking maybe a few weeks before.

Per user. It typically like CUWL is tied to a user and that user can be associated with up to 10 devices and a voicemail. There are levels of CUWL, but it's tied to the user.

let me try and explain the issue - i have a user who has a London based DDI but works in Manchester. When he calls a particular client from his phone he needs it to show a Manchester DDI, whilst all other outgoing calls can show the London number - can this be achieved ? I was thinking through route patterns ? Thanks

Hello, just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a good resource to learn about SIP. Am looking to replace our current ISDN lines in branch offices with SIP but before i put forward the case to the business i suppose i should actually what it involves and how it works. Also is there much config required on Voice gateway and cucm ?

Hi, quite new to this cucm stuff so apologies if this obvious. We have a new site that is just across the road - if we want the people to use our cucm hosted here in HQ then do we need a voice gateway installed at the new site and configured to route back here ? Does distance matter whether it be 300 metres or 300 miles away ?

Hi, has anyone come across the issue where you load up packet tracer but the user login screen doesn't load and you have just a blank white screen ? I have to go in via guest. Im using windows 7 and going through a proxy which i've configured but still not happening.
