It needs to be led by a group of veterans. We need 500-1000 veterans to stand silently in front of those tanks with American flags.

If we can get it organized, I'll stand at the front of the line.

gives too much power to "swing states"

In what world is "giving power to the swing states" worse than having 3 or 4 large cities electing our POTUS?

It's not relevant anymore

How so? Look at the electoral map from 2016 on a county-by-county basis. Getting rid of the Electoral College would ensure that a select few major cities would elect our POTUS while the majority of the country's (both by population and area) votes would be completely negated.

With the Electoral College, the majority of the country's votes by population were completely negated in 2000 and 2016.

I mean, Trump actually did business with the mob too, if reports are to be believed (and I’d bet they’re true).

I just donated to Janz - he needs resources to get rid of Nunes -Obviously Nunes supports party over country - go to russia you traitor.

I did too.

When are we going to start talking about what happened after the collusion? About Kushner trying to set up a back channel to Russia? About the Seychelles back channel meeting? About Flynn's dealings with Russia after they won? After Trump won, he either tried or succeeded in communicating privately to the Russian government about something. What was the quid pro quo?

The Resistance Guide was authored by leaders of Momentum, a training institute and movement incubator. They study what makes or breaks movements. And they teach people how to incorporate the best techniques and strategies of protest into their ongoing work for social justice.

That seems a bit shortsighted - wouldn't it discourage successful businessmen and businesswomen from seeking office?

I think we need to encourage successful folks from other American institutions to enter politics with as little friction as possible since we want our best and brightest running the country.

But what the fuck do we do? Write our elected officials, send money to charities helping these families. Even hold a sign at a protest. I mean I don’t know. I’m doing it all but sometimes it feels so futile.

Trump supporters are people who feel they are owed something, but they can’t tell you what or why - whose greatest perceived enemy is people who they feel are getting something they’re not, but they can’t tell you what or why.

"When you are accustomed to privilege, equality can fell like oppression."

I do. My issue is that I don't really see how to be effective. Everyone talks politics in their daily life. But I think what you mean is donating time to actually advancing a cause. I've been looking for a way to do that but the only option to me appears to be to volunteer for the local liberal politician who is likely going to win in my liberal region so I can go door to door talking about how they've got great policies to solve the community's "kitchen table" problems.

The problem is that the problems we are facing are not kitchen table problems. These are national-level issues that don't easily tie in with anyone's paycheck. The right has been able to organize a cultural movement because they're more homogenous. The left doesn't have an appropriate response for it.

Nobody wants to hold Democrats accountable for their failings and look at why Hillary actually lost

There has probably been more deep analysis in the media and discussion of this amongst regular party voters than any candidate loss in history, and I mean that literally. Why anyone would think this hasn't been discussed to death at this point is beyond me.

"The best chess player in the world today is not an AI. It’s not a human. It’s a human plus AI, which they call a centaur. The best medical diagnostician in the world is not Watson Health, the medical AI. It’s not a human doctor. It’s doctors plus AI. Centaurs work because they’re a complimentary team. We’re going to see more of that, where the AI does things that can be measured in productivity and we do things that are measured in exploration, interaction, and experience."

I haven't met any new babies with that name, and I'm not sure I even know how to pronounce it. Any ideas?
