Fuck LTC Peters! After years of fomenting fear and hatred while sitting across from Bill Orielly now Peters sees the light. This nitwit has consistently clouded issues to provide “conservative” cover for idiotic plans and saber rattling for years. I guess going from bullshitting the red team to bullshitting blue team is something, but I wouldn’t call it progress.
3% of climate scientists are, in fact, Lizard People.
We all know that we have a small number of Red & Blue team fanatics who gladly gulp the cool aid, and who’s identity’s are indelibly tied to their teams, regardless of morality. I always find it funny when the same media who paints the picture of us vs them for a living wonders why we are so divided. They peddle in click bait for people with short attention spans, and always play to the emotional angle because it makes for better TV. Cable news is Ancient Aliens only instead of “experts theorize” it’s “analysts”! Then they guess out loud what might happen tomorrow when they can’t even agree about what happened yesterday.
How did you do for the day? I went Sunday and only managed one 😢
Ten on the day, eight to the net, all on the Jujubetis.
Don’t forget the wife beating.
This kid is the truth, I can’t wait to see how his story unfolds.
Still not getting what anyone likes about Musk? He makes an over subsidized car and he theorizes about amazing new inventions like a subways, but then other people design and pay for it. I think he paid for some of his launch facility, however I know Zer Richard Branson had his “space port” completely paid for by tax payer (even though it’s private).
Ignoring that he’s South African and thereby most likely a terrible person, why the adoration of this guy?
Pac was ridiculously fast and explosive. I don’t know any other fighter that could generate that much power with a second left hand like that.
It wasn’t a power shot (I mean technically it is because it wasn’t a jab) it was an extremely intelligent balance shot. By ducking the straight Bradly put himself in position where his feet were squared making him susceptible to being knocked over by the hook (you can tell by how both of his feet go up together once his butt hit the canvas). Usually this is done with the jab straight right left hook combo. However I guess when you can see and react as quickly as fighters at that level you can make it up as you go.
what was the water temp? Im surprised that tomahawk is warm because it comes straight from snow melt not even 20 miles away, and most of the water has not been impounded at that point.
60° by noon 65° by 1400 67° by 1500.
Dude, how are you still wearing waders, its hot as shit out.
Yeah I fucked up.
That’s the look my dryfly gets, right before they piss off!
Nice fish!! Fished there a few times, but I prefer the dream stream a little west. It doesn’t produce near as many fish, just the big ones
I don’t fish the Dream stream near enough because of the love I have for the camping and fishing that Eleven Mile offers. I always intend on stopping by on my way back to Denver but I usually end up staying at Eleven Mile too late.
What kind of camping opportunities are there?
Excellent stream side camping opportunities but book well in advance. The camping gets tighter the closer you get to the dam, so check out the site overlay when you book. The road is a bit washboard but overall it’s a very nice place with clean facilities and access to water.

They do! They're beautiful. And, like any trout, they have better odds to survive if they're at least handled with wet hands :)
My ability to repel water makes it difficult to tell if my hands are wet in a picture. However, if you look closely at my fingertips and watch you can tell that they were recently submerged.
Unfortunately an invasive treat out there.
Crepes I didn’t know, I still need to better learn the native species of Colorado.
Why does his arm look so long ????
Don’t you start a damn conspiracy!
That guides name is John Law, he’s got a long arm and he’s sensitive about it. Be careful what you say or he’ll punch you with that damn thing.
Nice shirts. Did you guys call each other up and tell each other what you were gonna wear?
I was so embarrassed when I saw someone with the same shirt on the water.
Just kidding it was part of a charity tournament so we wore the sponsors shirts and hats.
Is this in Colorado? I think I was on the same river, just a bit downstream... If so, it's been going off there lately! Nice fish!
It’s was the first access after the bridge, and it was absolutely on fire for the caddis emerger elk hair caddis dry combo. I got a take while putting my net away. The air was lousy with them it was too easy. Seriously I’m a decent stick but this was ridiculous.
Nice, I was like a mile downstream in that little sandstone canyon, small world. Agreed, caddis and yellow sally dries were ridiculous!! Hopefully it cools off soon, water temps got a little warm in the afternoon.
Yeah man we called after lunch and headed to the closest tailwater.
This is awesome! Thanks for being responsible protecting the resource - have an upvote!
You don't fish in water above 60 degrees? That seems like a really low limit to me.
Also, gorgeous fish.
Rainbows are supposed to be able to survive temperatures in the upper 70°, they stop growing in the lower 70°, and become stressed in the mid 60°. The temp as well as the speed of the water (which was also lower) affects how quickly the oxygen dissolves in the water. However I was fishing for Brook trout who’s tolerances are even lower than rainbows and browns. So I fished till the water was about 65°, ate a delicious turkey pesto sandwich, and went to the Blue which is a tail water so it was much cooler.
Also, thank you.
That fish isn’t the only thing that’s wet
You got the swamp ass?
Shrimp? Such a great place, I hope to get back some day!
I have a bunch of shrimp in my box but I’ve never had much success with any of them. Then again I usually fish aways down from the toilet bowl so that’s probably the issue.
Awesome fish!!! I know you don’t want to have the fish slip out of your fingers but be careful with the death grip, that can be a pretty quick way to kill a fish. I’ve found that if you can cradle their pelvic fins between your ring and pinky finger then rest your thumb right in front of the dorsal fin they won’t go anywhere. 9/10 the fish will relax and will be calm enough for a picture without the risk of it being hurt.
I’ll definitely try a different grip if it helps the fishy, however I think it looks worse than it was.
I usually try to position my index finger behind the pectoral fins that way the fish can’t slide out backwards then open my hand to show off the side colors. I don’t know why it looks like I’m putting pressure with my thumb on top, but I’ll definitely be more care next time.
I’ve heard it was the second molt of a BWO or possibly a variation of a PMD but I’m not sure either way.
They do love a wet bugger. Well done.
I tied it with a unleaded wire around the hook for weight so she dove faster. Too much fun!
