Bullshit. He turned down being part of that legends vs League of Nations shtick at WM32 and turned down being in Angle's position for Angle and Rousey vs HHH and Stephanie at WM34. For a guy that oh so badly wants to get back into wrestling, he seems to turn down a ton of opportunities to do so.

League of nations was terrible! who would want to come back for that?

Very few young men look this invested in the show these days. Most of us are meltzering the matches and segments in our heads as things happen.

nup2016 4 points

To be fair, the show was more geared toward young men in those days.

i think it was Brock who would have possibly gotten another match from Austin as they both have tremendous respect and friendship for each other.

nup2016 12 points

Well Stone Cold WAS booked to have a match against Brock but that's another story...

I haven't seen too many of his matches but I know Yuji Nagata fucking nailed him in the head with a rolling kick at the end of their match at the New Beginning in Osaka this year. It probably wasn't just from that but if he's taken a bunch of shots like that I'm not surprised he's got some kind of head injury.

Brock doesn't weigh that much more than Roman, though. Idk about the mechanics of a crucifix powerbomb, but can he actually only safely do it to someone smaller?

nup2016 5 points

Brock weighs a lot more than AJ though, and he's gotta support the guy's body weight above his head.

Taker hates chops, i can’t remember who it was on the Austin podcast but they said if you’re gonna chop him he’s gonna chop back even harder

nup2016 14 points

IIRC someone said he gives his opponent a limit on the amount of chops he's willing to take and if you go beyond that shit goes down.

Man this era of Misawa is hard to watch. Dude is obviously in terrible shape and just bumped so recklessly on his head. This match in particular is pretty cringe worthy

nup2016 20 points

I find it admirable that Misawa worked so hard even when he was so banged up towards the end, obviously he should have stopped before it was too late but the passion and determination for his craft is undeniable.

I love this match, he does this elbow to the back of the head in response to Joe kicking out of one of Misawa's super finishers: the Emerald Fusion

Not hating at all and I know it's frowned upon on the sub, but seriously, did he get a very good hair transplant or is he wearing a wig? His hair transformation is unbelievable.

nup2016 22 points

Looks like he just grew his hair out

That has nothing to do with taking an arm drag. It's the easiest move to take and Cody Hall held onto his hand way too long and spiked it into the mat. Any fat wrestler can take arm drags safely if the person doing the move works loose like they should.

nup2016 9 points

He might have fucked this move up badly and injured his opponent but its a far stretch from "shooting" on the guy .
