Over the past few months, the Audible app has introduced a "home screen" that seems clearly designed as a ridiculous ploy to get you to buy more things. It's insulting.
When I open Audible.com, I love being shown all the available books. When I open the Audible app, I want to be taken to my library immediately. I know what Amazon is doing, it's making the app worse, I don't appreciate it, and I hope they stop soon.
I just want to listen to my books, not have a creeping and sinister feeling that Audible is out to get me slowly through app updates. Just default to the Library View, or make it an option.
The new 'Home Screen' offers less functionality and wastes an incredible amount of space. It makes absolutely no sense, except as a slow transition into showing more content that I don't own, want, or want to see. Keep the advertising out of the app, and keep it on the website where it belongs.
