Carbs/fat recommendation

Forgive me if this has been asked already. I'm almost through my first week of the 16:8 plan and I feel great about it so far. The only thing bothering me is that I would like to have a rough estimate of how many grams of carbs/fat to stick to each day. I just don't know how much is too much. Should I just be going by the recommended amounts for weight loss for a woman normally on a regular diet? If so, which resources do you recommend following? I never know what sources to trust. Thanks!

IF is just about when you eat, not what you eat. You can be on any diet and as long as you eat at a caloric deficit you’ll lose weight. Lots of people pair IF with r/keto though :)

E: to add r/xxketo since you are also a lady :)

I've just read some conflicting things in that case. Some articles about it say you need to do low carb, meats, nuts, seeds etc. to see results. Others say you can eat whatever you want.

Love your reply. Hilarious! BTW, my first thought also was that this photo was taken somewhere in the UK. It's your husband's chin. More down votes coming. Oh well.

This is so funny. We can't figure out why/what makes him look British. He thinks he looks German, lol. I didn't realize his chin was a British thing!

I foking know this guy from somewhere. I think he sold me a TV once 🤔

Cool thanks

Everything hurts and I'm dying. 😃

Then you didn’t read my comment, of if you did, you lack reading comprehension. Here’s my initial comment:

  1. No, walking short distances may not be possible.

I commented that I don’t have an issue with someone who legitimately can’t walk a short distance, and only take issue with the lazy ones who cry “It’s too hot to walk that far!”

  1. Your air freshener may be harmful for your passenger.

Commented that this is more on the rider than on me. If you want standardized transportation, ride with a standardized company.

  1. Please be kind if a passenger needs to hop out to go to the restroom.

  2. Be patient if the passenger needs more time getting into or out of the car.

These last two are about time, namely wasting time. For potty stops, it’s quite entitled to think that a non-medical transport is going to wait for you while you do your business. Because there’s no advanced notice required to get a ride, if you gotta go, you can rerequest when you’re done pinching a loaf.

If you know you require extra time, order when you’re ready to go, not before. Being slower is a known issue. Act accordingly.

I guess I don't see having to make an emergency bathroom stop and wanting your driver to wait so they don't have to request another ride as disrespectful. And I doubt that the article's author is talking about the lazy folks in item 1. Like it says "may not be possible", so they're probably referring to the times that it really isn't possible. Also, the last item on the list specifically says "getting into or out of the car", which I believe means the physical act of getting in and out of the car may take more time, and their asking for patience there. Not necessarily the act of arriving at the curb. So I maintain that I read your comment fully, I just interpreted the article differently than you. You know, the non-asshole way. 😁

It’s painfully obvious you didn’t even read the article, so.....

Also, the last item on the list specifically says "getting into or out of the car", which I believe means the physical act of getting in and out of the car may take more time, and their asking for patience there. Not necessarily the act of arriving at the curb.

Copied from the article, emphasis added to the salient points:

Be patient if the passenger needs more time getting into or out of the car.

Passengers with illnesses and disabilities may require some extra time getting into and out of the car, whether due to pain, mobility devices or keeping track of their supplies and tools. They aren’t trying to slow down your day — chances are they are very aware of any impatience on your part and appreciate your willingness to accommodate them.

”It may take us longer to get to the car and we are stressed about their waiting on us,” Karla Eldridge said.

As you can plainly see, the article is not about getting in and out only, rather they are talking about the entire process, (getting to the car, getting in, then getting out).

I guess I don't see having to make an emergency bathroom stop and wanting your driver to wait so they don't have to request another ride as disrespectful.

The entitlement is strong with you. As I have said multiple times already, it’s not that the stop is disrespectful, it’s the entitled attitude of thinking I’ll wait for you. Per Uber, stops should be kept to a minimum delay, no more than 3 minutes.

You know, the non-asshole way. 😁

It’s funny, the people who say things like this are typically the ones who are being an asshole, or in your case, an entitled asshole.

We clearly have a difference of opinion on what makes someone an asshole. I'm done with you.
