He was one of the best. They are really struggling to get new correspondents. It's the weakest part of Trevor's run of the daily show

No kidding. I kinda feel bad for Michael Kosta. He's been there for over a year and I feel like he hasn't yet carved out a niche.

I swear it's like when she's talking to someone next to her she's talking, when she's talking to a stage full of people she's trying to shout to the back row and losing control of her voice... because she doesn't know what a fucking microphone is. I made another post before seeing these saying that at times her voice isn't bad, at others it goes out of control and I just can't stand it.

I don't know if she thinks it's like a Gottfried shtick that she thinks sets her apart and makes her more memorable, or she actually doesn't mean to do it.

If she talked normally more often I could absolutely take her more seriously, but an issue was that I found the first episode of her show to be largely unfunny... how much was being annoyed by her voice putting me off the jokes I don't know. her speech at the correspondents dinner was mostly great and the show felt like a giant leap down in quality.

It must be a habitual performance thing, like she's trying to project her voice to the people in the back of the room.

just open YouTube and run a search for the interview or musical guest you have in mind ... odds are good it'll be there

For the Daily Show or the Colbert Report? Fat chance, unless it's from the official (and geoblocked) YouTube pages, or recorded from an old ass phone. Comedy Central/Viacom really cracks down on videos uploaded by other people.

I'm actually a fan of Michelle Wolf, and a full episode is just WAY too much of that voice

Her humor is right up my alley but yeah... I can't actually listen to her for too long, as much as I want to.

I’m hoping this one earns him a Peabody nomination

And no one should forget one of the best sketches of all time. I'm talkin' bout chest hairs and crazy cool medallions.

Those were my favorite sketches. I had them downloaded and saved on my PSP so I could watch them lol. In hindsight, I’m surprised he never broke character in those sketches, just Timberlake.

Robin, do you have anything to add?

I love that this interview happened nearly an exact year after the Tiffany Haddish one.

Also, Chun-Li is a fucking banger.

I really enjoyed the full Comey interview with Colbert, albeit this full version wasn't televised.

David Letterman's interview with Barack Obama on his Netflix show, "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction".

YES. That one is absolutely incredible.

I've lost count how many guests have made a pass at Colbert

It suffers from its association with Starz. Luke Arnold's career should have exploded but his upcoming projects don't look stellar.

Every Doctor Who intro series five and onwards.

the doctor who intro (when capaldi started) was so ridiculously stupid i used to laugh every time it came on

I couldn’t skip it fast enough. Both the music and the graphics seemed so cartoonish when it needed to be quite the opposite for Twelve.

Eleven’s was boring as shit and they had this extra horns melody playing over the theme song, blocking out the badass bassline. It just made me angry lol we had a perfectly dynamic, simple intro with Ten.

The Office and Parks and Recreation. The cringe factor would be off the charts

The 10-episode half-hour series will premiere on Facebook Watch on Sept. 18.

Oh the Facebook shows are starting.

I smell the beginning of the end for Facebook as a social media platform. The same way MySpace became a platform for musicians, I suspect Facebook maybe it’s equivalent for original viewing content?

That kinda makes it worse

Mate, don’t even try it on this sub lol. I love Colbert but I expressed my disappointment about this stunt the first time around and it didn’t go well.

There are *almost no fanbases more toxic then CW twitter fandoms. It feels like for every show it’s just a straight up cesspool of hate. Hell, a couple weeks ago they leaked the private phone number of The 100’s showrunner to harass him, simply because he won’t make two characters romantic.

The "twitter" part is redundant

I always had full faith in this show and was never skeptical about it from the start, but this was this scene that convinced me that it would convince others that this spin-off would do just fine.

Same here as soon as this scene happened I knew Gilligan and Gould had found another gem of a show. The thing I was most surprised with was how Bob Odenkirk took Saul who was an awesome side character in Breaking Bad and gave him such nuance and depth.

I'm still floored by his dramatic chops. That whole "comedians make great drama actors" thing really rings true.

Nacho is such a great character in ‘Better Call Saul’.

He’s never mentioned a single time though in ‘Breaking Bad’. Kind of makes me concerned about his future.

I was about to say that he's one of my favorite characters on BCS, but everyone is my favorite character on the show. But yeah, I don't have high hopes for his fate, or Kim's fate.

They cut off most of it in the clip, in the actual episode you see them struggle for a day and a half.

I searched for a clip of the whole thing and it was frustrating to see Adult Swim cut out half of the gag

Still one of the best and most consistent characters on tv.

"He's on LinkedIn! He might as well be dead."

There's not nearly enough praise for this line. I can't even remember the context but it's still hilarious to me to this day, and is all I think about whenever I hear about LinkedIn.

I forgot how much I loved this show and fell off somewhere. I don’t think I ever saw a finale, so in my mind, it never ended. Was there a writers strike that affected the show? I feel like something made me fall off.

Edit: Never mind the writer’s strike was earlier in the run. I think I just stopped watching it after the 5th or 6th season for some other reason.

I remember one of the later seasons being pretty meh but they really turned it around with the final season

Mad Mad: Fury Road. I love the film series but I think the intensity of it would be broken by too much world building and not being 100% car chases.

That world would be fascinating to explore across a big budget cable series but yeah, the story of Fury Road alone is executed perfectly: as a 2 hour long, single shot of adrenaline. I'd argue that most (good) action films would lose a lot of their punch if they were turned into a series.

When are they going on their summer vacay? I thought it was starting next week

Is he allergic to smiling? I find whenever he smiles, it’s like he catches himself doing it and makes a conscious effort to be rid of it straight away lol

He is absolutely brilliant. I’d love to see him in Black Mirror, or leading a drama.
