We are here to help you with Reddit. We aren't the Help Desk for Nintendo, or Apple, or Samsung, or Microsoft, or Adobe, or... well, you get the picture.
We will happily answer all your questions about Reddit. Ask us about karma and upvotes and subreddits and spamming and anything else related to this website you're currently reading. But we can't answer your questions about why your laptop is frozen or how to reset your games console or why that software isn't working. For those questions, we encourage you to contact the help services for the products/software directly. Not here.
However, if you insist on asking people on Reddit about your problems with non-Reddit products and software, rather than the people who are paid to help you with the products you bought from them, please take a moment to find the appropriate subreddit. There are hundreds of subreddits out there for all the software and computers and consoles you can think of - and most of them are fairly easy to find. For example...
The subreddit about Microsoft Windows is called /r/Windows.
The subreddit about the Nintendo 3DS is called /r/3DS.
The subreddit about Samsung is called /r/Samsung.
The subreddit about Apple is called /r/Apple.
The subreddit about the XboxOne is called /r/XboxOne.
Questions about the mobile version should be asked in the relevant app related sub.
There is also the /r/TechSupport subreddit, where you will find people who like to answer general technical support questions.

I’ve been wanting to access a Subreddit for some time, but they have a requirement of 300 comment Karma. I got myself around 170 combined Comment and Post Karma, and figured they were similar because they were both attained in the same way. Turns out, I was wrong. For some reason, they didn’t accept Post Karma, rendering a large portion of my progress useless. What’s the real difference between these two types of Karma (besides Comment Karma is from Comments and Post Karma is from Posts). Why didn’t they accept post Karma? Thanks! :D
I tried to change my email by logging in from desktop and changing and selecting verify but verification mail is not beeing received in the new mail account ... Do i need the old email working ? The old email is lost because openmailbox.org seems down ... can this be fixed ? Im still logged in at my mobile since creation of the account and can login at my laptop ...
About 5 days ago I logged into my main account and got a notification across the top of the screen (not a direct message) that the account had been suspended due to suspicious activity and that I needed to reset the password to regain access. I gather that can happen when the system thinks the account has been compromised.
I went to the password reset page via the link provided on the Reddit home page as instructed. It auto-filled with my user ID and linked email account. I hit the send email button and waited.
After an hour I tried again assuming there was a glitch and waited some more. The next day I still hadn't gotten the reset email. Finally, on the 20th, I emailed email@example.com (from my linked email account) to ask for help. I got a form email back in just a few minutes telling me to check my spam folder for the missing email - which I had already been checking. The email concluded by saying that if I was still having problems I could reply to that email with an explanation of the issue.
I replied to that email explaining that I was still not getting the reset email, that I do have a linked account (I even use 2-factor authentication) and that I have been checking my spam folder and following all the advice in the email. As of 9/22 I still had not gotten a reply so I emailed again. As of today I still have not gotten a reply to either of those latest emails.
I've had that account for a long time and I'm rather fond of it. Is there anything I can try that I haven't already tried? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Pretty self explanatory, everytime I hit the log in button in browser a pop up tells me I'm already logged in and redirects me to the front page. But I'm clearly not logged in because I can't see my profile, up vote, or comment. Any help would be appreciated
Hi I created a new account to post this with but I’ve been on the site for 7 years as u/skankzilla77 but when I click on my account if I’m not logged in it says page cannot be found. I can still use my account and see all of my posts when I’m logged in but I’m basically invisible to everyone else. I never got a message explaining anything or if I was banned. I have no idea what’s going on but would love to have my account back! I post so frequently that having to repost everything on a new account would be super lame to the small subreddits I contribute to.
On my laptop, the past few days I have been trying to create a post and it goes to the page just fine, but as soon as I start typing towards the bottom of the text box (the page should scroll as I type) the page freezes up and I can't finish typing or save a draft or post. So, I copied what I had, saved it in Word and cleaned my storage and reset Edge thinking it was my computer. Every time I copy and paste what I typed into the text box, it shows up fine but still cuts the save as draft and post buttons and wont allow me to scroll my screen. This doesn't happen on any other site, so I'm pretty sure it's not my laptop. and I don't own a phone.
So every time I try to access my inbox on my browser, I get a screen saying "welcome back!", that I'm logged in, and that I'll be redirected. It just sits there and loops itself and reloads. There's a link that I can click but it just reloads that page. Thoughts on what might be happening? I'm on Firefox btw.
I have tried using a mouse or a different browser but to no avail. I can still scroll on the front page or in subreddits.
Some time ago I randomly stumbled upon a "view counter" for your Reddit account (it was on the official Reddit website by the way). For some reason I can't find it anymore, but it'd be nice to have it again. Any help is appreciated :)
I looked this up online but all the answers I could find didn’t work or were PC exclusive.
I was going to post this on r/redditmobile but I am not allowed to make posts there. So I come here!
I am looking to block someone without initiating a chat with them. I have tried the report comment method and it dosen’t work. I am on iOS. I have looked at the Reddit FAQ and it’s useless. It only says how to block someone in chat. Any help is useful! Thank you!
Hey, reddit is making me log in once every day for the last 2-3 days, and it's being rather annoying since I'd much rather it remembered me being logged in. Anyone else having this issue?
When I go to reddit.com I just see posts from subs I am subscribed to. Is there an option to get r/all on the main page?
I want my homepage to be like it is on mobile with reddit is fun app where I can see the reddit front page multi.
